I have an external SQL database that records data and I want to add this to a Thingworx thing to be stored in the associated value stream.How would you do this?I am able to access the SQL data from ThingWorx and query the table, but I need to assign it as properties of the thing.  The external database remains the master and I want ThingWorx to read updated data from the SQL server every minute.

I'm in Workflow Administrator (Windchill 9.1) trying to update one of our workflows.  We need to have some of the Activity tasks renamed.  I have edited the name in the General Tab, saved the workflow, checked it back in, imported it, etc.  But when I run the workflow its still using the older Activity task name, even though when I open the workflow it has the new name there.  What am I missing?  Sorry I'm new to editing the workflows?  Is a server restart required?  It seems like a simple thing, yet it's not working?

Hello,I would like to know if it is possible to calculate a derivative of an array in Mathcad without fitting a function to the data set. A have an expression of a form: sigma(x,y):=A*F,x(x,y), where A is a constant, and F(x,y) is a function of x and y which is defined with a data set/array (data imported from Finite Element Analysis). I have Mathcad Prime 3.0 installed and have a floating CU license, but maintenance has expired in 2014. I was issued a new license to remove the expiration dates, but still when I open Mathcad Prime, it only opens express. Any ideas what might be going wrong?

Hello everybody.Can someone explain/teach me how to quickly import requirements (from a word or pdf or excel file) into PTC RM?I was looking at the DOCUMENT --> IMPORT command, but what I get is just a wizard requiring a configuration file that I don't have.I'm available to understand how to create it, but I need to understand how to do it, what is the language to be used, the basic commands, etc. Do you know a tutorial or something like that?I'm also interested for any "plugin" available on the market that can perform this activity, if available.Thank you in advance

HiI have seen a few conversations about plotting 3D meshes in Prime using plot 3D. There is a very good discussion  where a ply file was used to generate a dolphin mesh. I cannot comvert this to a Prime format and the ply file format is missing.What I want to do seems simple but for whatever reason, Mathcad cannot simply plot a 3D wireframe based on the start coordinates of a line and the end coordinates of a line.It seems that it is only possible to draw a continuous 3D line from a plot.I understand for instance CreateMesh function creates a mesh for format in the 3Dplot but it looks like the mesh edges have to be continuous.This seems crazy. I have tried collapsing or using the same node coordinates of node 2 for matrix entries for third and 4th nodes but that does not seem to work.I understand Mathcad uses quad faces/facettes. So, I had thought if I collapse three edges to form a single line and feed the format of the quad face into 3d plot that would work but it doesn't.How ca

Hello,I looked through the community discussion topics and did not find a simple example. Forgive me if one is there and I missed it.I am using TI Sensortags and have an external REST-accessible resource where I can get sensor values.I want to model these as ThingWorx things and then update the properties via REST GET calls to the external resource.The REST calls return simple JSON results.Is there a simple code snippet someone can offer that does this: Calls the REST GET and parses the JSON to find the name, value pair and use the value to update the property value in ThingWorx?Is there a good document I can consult that covers this? Hello Support,In the mainline version of a project, whenever a user creates a sandbox, all the files on the PC are read-only mode.Is there any way, where this feature can be disabled automatically for that mainline project hierarchy so that whenever sandbox is created, all the files on the PC are with read-write permission instead of read-only?Thank you.RegardsPashan

Hello everybody,I created a custom service with a JSON Input called "Data". I am trying to test this service via Postman.Data will contain something like this:[{"var1":5,"var2":10},{"var1":5,"var2":10}]Can someone tell me how i correctly pass this to Thingworx? So how do i have to format my body in postman? And in Thingworx Javascript do I have to parse the json first or is it already passed as i specify the input as json.Thanks. Every time a user of mine opens or saves a document this pop-up comes up.   Message: Retrieval You have insufficient access permission for retrieval files to be recorded at the location specified in the Configuration option last_session_directory_path To set a different location for the retrieval files, click Close, or set appropriate access permission and then click Retry.   The user can work normally and I believe all is fine, but some permission is perhaps missing? He is a new user who should be able to access all CAD/Document files and arrange everything he needs in Windchill. Basically do all except administrative rights. Thanks for the help!   Note: I am a novice Windchill administrator and not a Creo/CAD person, so simplified explanations may be needed.

Hi,   I'm working with Creo Parametrics 2.0, and I'm having the most difficult time trying to add a few dimensions to my drawing. I have a tube-like part with a slight draft on the inside of the tube. I want to add an angular dimension from the center line to the inside surface in a section view. The two lines don't intersect and the angle is so small (about a quarter of a degree) that I can't dimension it. I've tried everything but the best I can do is fudge the dimension by making a sketch entity at a reasonable angle, dimensioning it, and moving it to overlap the inner surface. It looks fine, but I know it won't update with the part geometry. The revolve that made this angle was not dimensioned in such a way that model annotations comes up with the right dimension, but I've tried redimensioning it with that angle in mind, and it still won't work. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know!   Thanks, Alex

Is it possible to edit the ribbon menu in ModelManager? I want to add a button to toggle the BOM module on and off. This way users can quickly turn it on to create a BOM and then turn it off to release the BOM license for others to use.   Thanks   Tom

Has anyone encountered a permission denied error when trying to invoke a custom extension for TWX hosted on a Unix platform?  My team has created an extension that encrypts a file within a repository.  It works fine on a windows instance of Tomcat, but when we try to run it on a Unix hosted instance, we get the following:Unable to Invoke Service AddFilesWithEncryption on EncryptionExtension : java.io.FileNotFoundExceptionfollowed by Permission Denied.If you've encountered this, what folder typically needs to have its security permissions changed and to what?Thanks!

Hi all,I have a question about getting prediction model from ThingWorx Analytics. Is there any way to get description of the model that include dependent value (goal) form the independent values (parameters)? During my working with data and ThingWorx Analytics I found only information about statistics measures like: standard error mean, sum of observations, mean, kurtosis etc. like this:We have also information about strength of the signals and profiles to correct model to make it better, but I can't find any information about mathematical representation like this:y = 0.315465*x+4.146*z^3+423.131*log(z) + const.or it interpretation in the PMML.Regards,Piotr Zdziechowski
