We recently moved from Arbortext 6.0 to Arbortext 7.0 (and had stylesheets converted from FOSI to APP).  Writers made extensive use of the _nopagebreak processing instruction in our source DITA files (usually to ensure that text and graphics is kept on the same page).I was reading the Arbortext 7.0 help, and it appears that _nopagebreak is not support by the APP engine.  Does anyone know what an equivalent replacement would be?

In the Creo Simulate Help Center it says the use of beam idealizations is only valid for a ratio of beam height to its length of up to 1/10.I would like to simulate a part which has a ratio of 4/10. Simulating the part as a solid is not an option.How does that "invalid" ratio influence the simulation results?I would also like to know how many nodes/elements Creo Simulate creates on each beam idealization and if this is variable.Any help is greatly appreciated.

MathCAD is too good. It's doing more than I really want it to do, particularly with some units.Today's problem is the pound force. MathCAD knows the definition of the pound force, and the problem is that when I want to keep something as a pound force, it instead inserts the definition of the pound force and cancels out everything that can be cancelled out. When I try multiplying out by the unit I want, it still does the same thing.I'm trying to use the spring constant k in my US standard formulae. Normally, k=force/distance, or lbf/ft. Since the definition of the pound-force includes feet (I think it's something like ft*lb/s^2), then MathCAD automatically cancels out the feet and leaves me with s^2/lb, which makes no sense in the context of what I'm trying to do.How can I get MathCAD to just mind its own business and leave lbm as lbm? I can't seem to find a way to redefine the built-in lbm and I'm not certain I want to do that anyways.(I understand that this sort of topic is well-discu

Hi,   We are having part type as BOM or Non BOM (Dummy), BOM means actually going to production and dummy is just to show ( not mfg.). So in model tree we have dummy parts with extension as underscore "_"  e.g. 123456789012_BRACKET ( Non BOM). and we want to show its BOM number in repeat region as 123456789012 and for other component which is having BOM number will show as it is.   So please can anyone help me to do this through repeat region options or toolkit program.     Thanks, Prashant Pandarkar

Nothing to do with Mathcad, but I know some of you enjoy a good challenge.  And I'm stumped.  Here's the situation:  Two circles of different diameters, one vertically offset a distance e from the other.  Vanes of thickness t are centered in the smaller circle.  The vane are 90 degrees from each other.  What are the top and bottom colored areas?  I'll gladly take any hints on how you'd do it.Thanks!

Hello,I want to calculate dynamic deflection of the worm in a worm drive. The formula given in my book does not seem to work in Mathcad Prime 3.0.In the book there is no multiplier (*) printed after tan^2 and cos^2. There is just empty space. I did change the formula around in all kinds of ways.I put tan inside parenthesis like (tan)^2, or (tan^2*(gamma+Q)), or (tan(gamma+Q)^2) but nothing works.What do I do wrong?Thanks maurits

Hey all,I am creating formats for my employer and we are trying to figure out a way to organize the BOM in order of part number, as opposed to its current default of "description"I know this can be done at the drawing level, but we would like it to be automated by the format, so we don't have any issues of someone forgetting to reorganize the BOM.I have read the forums of how to reorganize it (there are about 4 threads started), but none of the ways described seem to work at the format level.any suggestions?

Hi folks--Has anyone found a way with Thingworx Studio to have a "hinge" animation that works correctly? What I mean by that is, I want to rotate a part around another part or around an edge, the typical example being a door or hatch opening on a hinge.I can build a beautiful animation of this in Creo Illustrate, and it looks fine in Creo View. But when I pull the same PVZ into Thingworx Studio, the hinge movement gets all weird. In Thingworx, the door or hatch begins in the correct location, and ends up in the correct location, but the rotation isn't right, so the door appears to detach from the hinge, do its rotation in mid-air, and then re-attach when it's done rotating.I've tried a bunch of things, but nothing seems to work. It's difficult to troubleshoot, because as I mentioned, the animation looks correct in Illustrate and Creo View, but still doesn't work right in Thingworx.If anyone has been able to make this work, how did you do it? Did you run into the problem I described abo

HiI have one small problem with Mathcad plots. Mathcad plots my function only in part of it insted of filling whole XY plane. I attach my mathcad file as an example. What can I do for the plot to be bigger?

When I load a matrix up with al reals the |A| or det(A) works fine and returns the value.  If I add a +1i or any imaginary number to an element, the |A| or det(A) returnb 0.  This frustrating since I have programs that use this alot for filling arrays in a linear systems problem.

Hi all,the spell checker in Integrity could check text in rich text fields. The dictionary for this function is located at the server, and in our environment the dictionary is the standard dictionary for english. We want to spellcheck also german texts, but we wont change the standard dictionary at theserver. Now i've heard, that it is possible to have an additional clientside dictionary. Is this true and if so, is it possible to change the language to check to german only for the specific clients? And if this is also true, is there anyone who could give me a link to a good german dictionary which can be used with the client?Thanks, Jens

Hello,I and setting up a post for a Leadwell V-60i and need to set the Tool as modal. When I set this option in the Tool Change Sequence output options to "T-code is modal" it will stop posting the T code but still posts an M06.How can I set up my post not to post an M06 when the T code is modal?Does any one have a post for this machine that they can share?Mike

While Using ModelCheck Model Update mode, how not to delete extra parameters?

Hey all,I Have a child mashup that has label, and by using the repeater widget, I could give to the child mashup the parameters in order to set those labels.I have an infotable that will get , from a database, some data. For each row of that infotable, I would like to use the Repeater widget to create a child mashup and set the label with the good parameters.The thing is, the repeater widget isn't visible and it won't show the mashup used in the repeater.I've looked at the tutorial, and she uses a filter which I don't need. Hi,I'm having an issue with BOM balloons; here's the setup. I have a particular part that needs to be in a couple assemblies, but in each assembly it needs to be displayed as a different simplified rep (same part no. just bent differently in each assembly). I couldn't manage to edit the simplified representation of the components in the master rep of the assemblies, so I created a simplified representations for all the assemblies and set the components to their correct simplified reps. The models and drawings look fine. I figured out how to set the BOM tables in the drawings to the assembly simplified rep, but the balloons that would correspond to the components with simplified reps refuse to appear.For example, the assembly could be made of 2 parts. Part 1 is displayed as simplified rep, called bent_part_1, in the assembly. Part 2 is displayed as its master reps in the assembly. The BOM lists both parts, but only a balloon for part 2 shows up. Hi,I have a large assembly with layers in it that I do not know what the layers are for, specifically what is an "INTFCLR" type of layer? I have downloaded the pdf by Pete Hollmer and Pete has a slide deleting this type of layer and I do not want to delete these layers until I understand what these layers do. We are using Creo M060 where I work and I have only been using Creo for a year and a half now, so I am still a noob.Thanks,Scott
