Wondering who has implemented this?I did at one med device to allow pre-production CAD items to be promoted to Production when no data had changed if they provided appropriate supporting (validation) documents in the change. Why:Forcing a revision creates work that is not needed for the data authors and approvers.We use the same rev scheme and we can watermark / stamp (cover page) to show the effectivity and state.

Is it normal that Windchill does not consider Object Initialization Rules (or Access Control List) at all when creating parts with edit associations or auto associate? Or do I just have some kind of configuration issue? I have hidden some subtypes of parts in different organizations and contexts from the part creation drop down menu by defining a non-existing lifecycle template in the OIR of those types that I want to hide.When I'm creating a part in Commonspace or Workspace, the OIR is checked before showing what types I can create and the dropdown list of type selection filters out the ones that I cannot create:  But when I'm using "Edit associations" or "Auto associate" on an existing CAD document, it seems that Windchill just shows *all* subtypes which have "Instantiable" flag on and doesn't consider the context-specific OIR.Auto associate: And same thing with "Edit associations":  I can create and associate any of those types of parts in Workspace. Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: When trying to create a new or edit / view a life cycle template as either org admin or site admin, I just get a please wait spinning circle.Description: I have been able to view the life cycle templates before on this server. We are in the process of upgrading our version so I have an installation on a test server where I can view and edit the life cycle. I have compared the Policies all contexts and rules and verified the administrator setup it all looks the same. Is there something else that could be keeping me from editing the life cycle?

I am using Windchill MPMLink Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.2.3Hello,We are using PartsLink and would like to know if there is a way to automatically propagate classification attributes from a design view to manufacturing and service views.Ideally, when an attribute of an item in the design view is modified (for example, the color changes to red), we would like this attribute to be automatically updated in the service and manufacturing views.Changes to attributes in the design view currently generate a significant amount of obsolescence, which is only visible through the BOM transformer or a specific report.In our company, service and manufacturing views are used to manage different structures, but we do not manage attribute differences.Thank you for your help.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.8Can security labels only be applied on attachments, i.e. user should be able to see a document but not download the attachment from it, if not through security labels, how can we apply the same functionality of applying restriction per document where user should be able to see it but not download it.If we cant achieve this through configuration, is customization an approach that could help achieve this?

When I click this accidently, all my data is lost. Can this be changed so they are further apart? (for example 'Undo Check Out', 'Check Out', 'Auto Check In', 'Update',...)Or a least get an extra window with 'are you sure?'.

When a Redline Notice is created, this is pushing new version Seeds in this system. e.g 'CHG-AA-1'. This 'CHG-' comes from a preference. the AA-1 is taken up from the version of the Affected Item. This although programmatically created OOTB by Windchill , is directly pushed into the versionida2versioninfo column of the WTPart.  The ill effect of this is, when we load our next build we get 'Seed CHG-AA-1' is not available in the HarvardSeries error. We have to put in this seed value as a legacy tag to get around the issue. By continuing to do so, Over the time, the  series will explode and get populated with a lot of Junk values just to support Redline.Q-1. As configure Windchill SSO by following the manual: Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) Authentication , now we are able to open the SSO login page and login with username/password successfully. But when the browser tries to jump into Windchill home page, it showes error message like 'Failed to process the request, Contact your administrator...'. By setting the "ModelCHECK Configuration" one can configure multiple configurations for different Lifecycles (Lifecycle Names! not Lifecycle States)  <Lifecycle_1>:<mch_file1>,<mcs_file1> <Lifecycle2>:<mch_file2>,<mcs_file2>...​This is well documented in the PTC Help chapter: Configuring ModelCHECK in WindchillBut this is not a realistic example.  I am looking for a way to configure the “ModelCHECK configuration” so that different configurations can be used regardless of the lifecycle name (we only have one). This is because there is usually only one lifecycle for Creo data.e.g.:<Lifecycle_1>:<mch_file1>,<mcs_file1> < Lifecycle_1>:<mch_file2>,<mcs_file2>... Does on have a hint for me?
