Hello All,I have 2 variables; one is pipe material and second one is temperature at 50/100°F increment.By selecting Material data from drop down list and temperature. It will throw allowable stress value. Is it possible to add interpolation formula if temperature value is other than what is available in the combo box.For example, for P11 material at 825°F, allowable stress value is 14200psi by using interpolation method.
Hey all, I am a structural engineer, specifically in the facade industry working with the exterior of buildings such as hospitals, labs, schools, high rise commercial and residential buildings. Our team has been using Mathcad 15 for 10+ years and sadly now moving over to Prime 8.0 and are at roadblock when it comes to integrating our mathcad calculations within Word in an efficient manner. Our process with 15 involved creating a macro in Word so that you can paste special a bitmap and so our mathcad pages are formatted to fit exactly in our report template in word to fit the margins perfectly without distorting or blurring the text (if you try pasting something larger than the margins, scaling can begin to affect the visual/readability of the calcs). Unfortunately, in Prime 8.0 this same copy paste function doesn't produce a paste as bitmap option but only paste as Formatted Text (RTF). You CAN paste the content of the sheet but not as a big object or p
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.5.0Save a copy of assembly with selected child parts getting renamed.has to provide users to choose child - components either reuse or save a copy.
For a very long time, we used to be able to explode a custom symbol into its parts within a drawing. Can we still do this in Creo 7 and later?
I am using Creo Parametric Release N/A and DatecodeN/AI would appreciate if you could please clarify the following for me about DHandles (pro_model_item in particular). Does the pointer to a DHandle remain in memory, while the model it refers to remains in memory? For example when I use the ProSolidBodiesCollect function i.e, ProSolidBody* bodies{ nullptr };ProSolidBodiesCollect(proMdl) &bodies)t* o_body_num; ProArraySizeGet(bodies, o_body_num); will the memory addresses for the bodies I get as output remain valid during a session? What I see is that I can actually copy the addresses and use them elsewhere in my code. Is this accidental? When I call the same function again I get different addresses for the bodies though, so if the addresses remain valid do I keep opening new DHandles by calling the function multiple times? Should I be closing them and if so, which function should I use to do so? Thanks a lot
I have two revolve features one currently on and the other off. The first angle dimension below has the round dimension grayed out so I cannot change the precision. The second angle dimension (on a currently hidden feture) does not. How can I change the first one so it can be edited. This is a part with a family table so I'd prefer not to delete it and re-add it if possible. Thanks, Dale
I had matrices with mixed unit and NaNs in calculation and kept getting units errors. It was a surprise to me that NaN would grab the unit from the first matrix element. After realizing that I found a similar thread about same happening with 0 values. In that case it was solved with zero. Interestingly that doesn't show in the list of units and I couldn't find it in the help either. Anyway, for my purposes to solutions seems possible: either moving the unit row to bottom or to utilize zero with the NaN:There's no question here, but I do find the behaviour more than a little odd...
Hello, Mathematica result: Maple result: Mathcad 11 result: Mathcad 15 result: Mathcad Prime 8 result: Why does Mathcad Prime give such a result when calculating the determinant of that matrix? Is this some bug from prime? or? Mathcad Prime 8 file attached.
When I export a formula-based lattice (e.g. - diamond TPMS) as an STL, there seems to be a gap between the lattice structure and the shell. Have you seen this with other users? Thanks,Thomas
I have been using Mathcad for over 20 years, and currently have a support plan. It's support renewal time again and I'm being told my perpetual license for Mathcad will expire if I do not renew my support plan. How does a perpetual license expire?
Hello all, TLDR; excel cells in my worksheet resize themselves every time the documents is closed and opened. How to fix? ------------ I'm having a problem with some excel components I am trying to use in a worksheet I have setup. The general idea is I have set this up as a template where the input values can be easily updated, and then the user can quickly see if the desired values pass or fail.I wanted a quickly visibly colour check (red = fail, green = pass). To do this I passed the values into an excel component and used conditional formatting to change the colour of the cells depending on the value (ie if the check value that was passed in = "Pass" then the cells would be highlighted green, if it was = "Fail" then the cells would be highlight red). This works perfectly, and there's no built in functionality to change the colour of a math region based on the value of a result as far as I'm aware so this is my only option for doing this. However, my problem arises
I want to know which customers are using CREO CSL and how where can I find CSL use cases? Or, if you have a document, please share it.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.0.0The single sign-on is abnormal, the web page can log in normally, but the Creo side needs to re-authenticate every time
Hello Everyone.Let ABC be a triangle with Incircle ( I ), and let ( I ) touch BC, CA, AB at A', B', C', respectively, and A'', B'', C'' are the midpoints of the sides BC, CA, AB, respectively.Prove : One of the distances A'A", B'B", C'C" is equal of the sum of the two others. ( C'C'' + A'A" = B'B'' )Thanks in advance for your time and help.Best Regards.Loi.
why do the functions that are capitalized not work such as LU, SVD, Cholesky etc. in Prime 4
Product: PTC Creo Parametric 9.0 Student Version I was reading the help about surfaces with the "STYLE" tool, but I don't get to understand the difference between triangular boundary surface, quadrangular boundary and trimmed rectangle. It is help there are not enough examples to be able to understand it. The page where I found that is: https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/r9.0/spanish/index.html#page/surfacing/style/Defining_Surfaces.html# Nor is it clear what the Trimmed Rectangle option is for, which explains point 5 on the following page: https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/r9.0/spanish/index.html#page/surfacing/style/Defining_Surfaces.html# I would appreciate it if you could clarify my doubt. Hi all, I have a UDF that is a sketched hole. All I am trying to do is edit the sketch to change the angle from 60 degrees to 65 degrees. How can I modify this sketch? I know I can modify it on the fly, but I want to revise this UDF so when other people use it they don't have to modify the dimension on the fly. When I go into the UDF Library and choose modify, there is no way for me to modify the original sketch. Also, I can't add the 60 degrees as a dimension on the family table.

Hello All, I'm trying to extract data from 2 variables. Example, by selecting Material data from drop down list and temperature. It should throw allowable stress value. For P11 material at 1050degF, allowable stress value is 4200psi. Can you please help me on this problem.
I am using Creo Schematics Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.0.0All of the icons in all of the toolbars in Creo Schematics are hard to see, they have no color and blend into background. I can fix this by turning off the "Dark Mode" in WIndows 10, however I like the dark mode when using all other programs and windows. I would like to keep dark mode on and still be able to see the toolbar icons in Creo Schematics. I have looked in the "Options" section in Creo Schemtics to see if I could tell it to ignore the system color/theme but I didn't see any such option. Can this issue be fixed?
HiI have the following relatively minor problem with Chart Component axis. If I let Mathcad to select axis values automatically, the maximum value doesn't show in the graph at all. If I set the maximum value of the y-axis to be 10% higher than the largest y-value, the axis values are no integers, but have decimal values as well. Is there some way to set axis values automatically, in a way that the maximum value would be shown in the graph, but also the numerical values in the y axis would be integers? In the attached sheet, there are three graphs. The first shows how the graph is shown automatically, in the second graph maximum value to y-axis is set, but as noted the y-axis values are not integers. The third graph shows how I would like the graph to look like, but I would hope that Mathcad would produce this kind of graph automatically without manual selections.
I have this same issue. My computer died, I followed the links https://support.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/academicFree.jsp & https://www.ptc.com/en/success-paths/upgrade-your-creo-parametric/setup/download-and-install-creo and went through the installation on my new computer. However, during installation it gave me an error when I put in my SON. I went through the installation without licensing and put the license file in the PTC folder like this: c:\ptc\license.dat. After launching creo I get a license error. I think because I have a node locked license. But service won't help at all because I dont a have maintenance subscription. I paid for a permanent license so I feel like this is some sort of illegal loophole they have going. I'm assuming I need them to release the license from my dead computer so I can activate it on my new computer. Any ideas? I downloaded my license again from my PTC login but still no luck.
I need to get data out of an MCD file. PTC MathCad Express Prime 8 cannot open MCD files, so I was trying to convert it into an MCDX file first. When I try to use the "XMCD, MCD Converter", I get an error saying "Unexpected error encountered during conversion". How do I resolve this?
Need to algebraically solve for a variable in prime In legacy MCAD it was symbolics,/ variable / solve where you highlight to desired variable In prime I see Math / Symbolics / Solve But this does not work as legacy MCADIs this possible in PRIME
Hola, since PTC offer Home user Creo license program for personal use I am curious why doesn't support Windows Home editions as well? There is official support for Windows Pro or Entrerprise only but many users have installed Win Home on personal computers. Anyone tested Win 10 Home with Creo?My experience with Creo 6.0 on Windows 10 Home is one big fail so users with Home Win edition are probably disqualified...
