We have many fields, including drop-down menus. We would like to restrict a field to be only modified by a certain group.For example, there is a drop-down called "Developer Priority" and we want only a manager group to be able to edit that field. Is there a setting/configuration to do this? I could only find field restrictions as far as if the field is visible.

I was wondering if there was a way to show a model sketch in a particular view, but hide it in the others. I've been creating sketches in my models to later show bolt circles, gage points, etc., in my detail drawings, but I don't know how to control which views they are visible in. Is there a way to change the default drawing table cell format settings?  Right now every time I insert a row into an existing table, it defaults text in the cells to upper/left instead of matching the format of the table. I want to add constraints, can be contact or distance,  in assembly using two sphere surface, (both surface with same DIA). But looks like  it does not work, please see picture. Any one can help? One more question is , in the same assembly. There are some datum plane showing on the screen. They are from the component level when I worked on the detail drawing. Hi,I'm trying to make edge client application by Java SDK.My idea is user can operate the device by changing value (Number) in mashup page and the client application watch the property value then it acts based on the number value.I'm checking sample code and help but I only found updating the property from edge client, not by platform.Is there anyone who have such sample regarding getting property in client side?

Hello all, i have been working with Creo 3 for quite some time now, but only on the modelling/surfacing side. Recently i have found myself having to use it for drawing too, & i am discovering all sorts of issues. I am working my way through them as they crop up, figuring things out, but this one has me stumped. Lets say i have a dimension on my drawing, & i edit the properties to change the tolerance style, the size is 100.00mm. I have a tolerance of +0.05/-0.00 applied to the size. The problem occurs when i change the style to limits, to display the size as 100.00-100.05, Creo automatically changes the nominal size to 100.025, forcing a regeneration of the part. I have never seen this behaviour before, i am using the same dtl file i have used for years, this does not happen in Creo/elements pro 5. I really don't like this, rightly or wrongly, we have a way of tolerancing here, & this will cause problems. If i display the dimension as 100.00 +0.05-0.00, my nominal size rema

So, I thought I was going mad last week when it seemed that a drawing I was working on just went backwards in time, but now I know what happened. I checked it out, made some changes, checked it back in, then I created a Promotion Request with said drawing.Before the appropriate person could accept it, I got a call form Doc Control who wanted me to add a couple of things to the drawing. So I deleted the Promotion Request.Now I see that drawing is back at the previous iteration! Deleting the Promotion Request deletes the last iteration! I haven't checked yet, but it probably also deleted a part iteration that I had to change for the drawing.Does anyone if I can get those file(s) back? Or how I can set it up so that deleting Promotion Request does not delete any files being promoted?

On a sheet metal drawing, there are holes and slot hole. I found that Creo did not recognize the center line or axis of the slot hole. In my mashup I want to show the infotable of the stream service "GetStreamEntriesWithData" but I would like to edit it; what follows is what I see:I don't want SourceTipe, Location, id and TagsPlus, I'd like to change the order of some colums, as you can see, Alpha, Beta and Gamma are not one next to the other as I'd like them to be.Is it possible to do this?

Hello.i have a pattern of simple holes that are defined as a dimension pattern, where the number of instances is defined by a Parameter.on top of that holes (after them in the tree) i have a reference-based pattern of cosmetic threads (nr. of instances is the same as nr. of holes).i would like to suppress/ unsuppress the entire cosm. thread pattern based on a condition (parameter) based on the pro-program (or something else, like relations, if that's available).i've tried adding "SUPPRESSED" to the add feature <pattern>, but that only suppressed the top pattern (all the threads still remained unsuppressed after rebuild).i've also tried to add "SUPPRESSED" to the first instance of the cosmetic thread definition, but that only produced a long error screen that the parent feat is suppressed).any ideas how could i do that? the problem is that # of instances is often changed, so i can't simple add an if to every instance of it.here is the definition of the pattern and first threadADD

Dear Users,I am new to Arbortext and I am keen in achieving the translation capability that is possible through Arbortext. And I am using a Arbortext trial version for moment,1.I tried to create a sample dita file with "Hello" as title. I am trying to translate Hello to different languages like French , German.2. I exported the XLIF file from the new Style file and imported it back to the styler with out any modification.3. I tried to edit the lanugage = "en" to "fr"/"de" and import the .dita file back to the Arbortext editor.4. Publishing does not show any translation . I'm trying to programmatically create a few dummy users in Thingworx for a demo. I'm able to easily create them using EntityServices.CreateUser, but there doesn't seem to be a service to disable the created user either on EntityServices or on the User object itself. How can I accomplish that on release 5.4?

I needed to do a couple extrusions to remove material within my assembly and I need them on separate layers so only one shows at a time. When I stick the extrusion on a layer and then hide the layer, the hole I extruded is still there. Does anyone know if I can do something like this? I’m working a repeat region. Does Thingworx have native reporting functionality? Or, is it pretty much a mashup with a grid that needs to be printed?Also, is there a direct connection to a persistence provider in order to query against the DBMS instead of the intermediary InfoTable functions?

Is it possible (and, if so, how) to create things and remote things by code?I have thing template "SimulationTemplate" which has 3 properties: Prop1, Prop2, Prop3I want 25 things called "Simulation-TH_1"... "Simulation-TH_25" and 25 remote things "Simulation-RT_1"..."Simulation-RT_25" and I want the properties to be bind. How can I do this by code instead of doing it one by one?
