Hey guys,I'm trying to get a complete information about a feature(say extrude).I've already got section(sketch) information. It wasn't hard at all.Now I'm about to get properties of Extrude feature itself.I mean these:Is it extrusion from sketch to some distance, or extrusion between planes, or sketch is a center plane for extrusion, and so on and so forth.I did read user Guide for Object Toolkit and it seems, necessary information is stored in a Future Element Tree(14. Feature Element Tree, 18. Features).Now I got features elements and their values:element id: PRO_E_FEATURE_TYPEelement value: 917element id: PRO_E_EXT_SURF_CUT_SOLID_TYPEelement value: 917The question is, am I correct? If I do need information about feature, should I use Feature Element Tree for that?If yes, where can I find description for this element IDs? Cause it's not clear for me what is PRO_E_FEATURE_TYPE and what means 917 for this element. I parsed the User guide, headers and couldn't find any description Thank

I am trying to make a template in 3.0 CREO parametric for my office, I want to insert logo in template which is in .jpg format. The JPG file is not showing on template. What could be reason for this?

Hello, I'm making a drawing of a fixture I made in parametric.   About 10 dimensions in, the text started to snap to an invisible grid.   Prior to this, I could drag the text dimension around smoothly. My installation of Mathcad Prime 3.0 on Windows 7 just started printing blank pages whenever I try to print a document.  I printed several documents just a month or so ago with no problem.  It doesn't matter what printer I use or if I print to PDF; I get the same result.  I'm wondering if there was some update to Windows 7 that clobbered Prime's ability to print.  Mathcad 15.0 M045 is printing just fine.  I even re-installed Prime 3.0 and it didn't fix the problem.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Hi all,Actually i need to re orient the X Y Z plane(Default coordinate point) as mentioned in the below picture. And i do not want to delete the existing default coordinate point. So what i have done means, Just I have rotated the coordinate point(XYZ) as per my requirement and set the views and renamed the planes also. Now i have achieved what i expected. But the problem is the standard orientation(Ctrl+D) view, I have modified all other views. When i give standard orientation view the model or assembly view shows reversible & improper view. I have not able to modify the standard orientation view. Kindly suggest1) how to modify standard orientation(Ctrl+D) view.or2) How to achieve the required view xyz coordinate point with the existing coordinate point.3) The below mentioned x y z directions are correct? Hi all, I think there's something I didn't understand very well. Recently I designed a new product using top down design. So I have an assembly into which I have a skeleton model and all the parts I need in my product.Today, I came back to open a part of this product without having the top assembly in session. It opens with a yellow light. If I try a regeneration, it fails because it says there's a missing model. Of course if I load the top assembly then regen, everything comes back to normal.Is there a way to make the top assembly load automatically ? The system knows what assembly is missing because when I go to the reference viewer, it can display the name of it.I have the retrieve_data_sharing_ref_parts config.pro option set to yes.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. In attempting to create a variable connector group, I've run into a snag when it comes to naming the ports. The tutorial runs you through how to automatically name them numerically, but when I apply the help documentation to try and label the ports in an alphabetic manner instead, (which will make it easier given that the real life connectors are labelled alphabetically) I get stuck.In the tutorial, you set the name_format parameter to #, and then add a label to the port shape with the format set to <name>. This then populates a variable connector with port names 1, 2, 3, etc.In the help, it states:However, when I try to use this, I get something that looks like:This happens regardless of which of the versions I use (full, trunc, hex).I've tried varying the capitalization (Trunc vs trunc), varying the location of the # (#trunc vs #trunc# vs trunc#), but all that does is vary the location of the number.Can anybody help me out with a step I'm missing?Regards,Matt

Long time UG/NX user and have been on Creo 2.0 for about 6 months.   Long story, but I have several parts in a -1 assembly "floating in space".   In order to avoid external references to the next higher assembly, I created a skeleton part in my -1 assy.  If I understand the skeleton theory, one way is to import quilt surfaces from the next higher assy and I can use them in my skeleton to position my parts to.   I think you can also use csys (coordinate systems).   Since my parts are already in the right postion, what I tried doing is creating csys in my skeleton using my part in my assembly.    I have a green model status, but if I run ModelCheck, it tells me I have a circular reference.  Is a circular reference ok in the context of a skeleton or is there a better way to create a csys in my skeleton from the current positions of my models?  Thanks This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Tea

Our auditors are interested in separation of duties.  Both of the senior people in our shop can promote to production, but they would like to enforce a restriction that no developer could promote their own changes to production.  In other words, can we force Developer 1 to promote Developer 2's work, and vice versa?We are currently on Implementer 10.2, but would upgrade if this is available in the current version.

Are there any third party plugins for thingworx that provides the capability of exporting data in xlsx form?  I understand that DataExport widget does it in csv, but I need it to be in xlsx.Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to save the settings we like in Moduleworks. I mean, for example setting different default values for comparison fonction. Hello,maybe this is a silly question but i've not found useful results in forum.I'm looking for create an array of function, something like :direct_fun_vect(v)1:= v1+ 2*v2 +3*v3direct_fun_vect(v)2:= v1 - v2ect..in a way that mathcad knows that each row is a function of v-vector (v1 , v2 ,v3).I've found a solution writing the single function like :f1(v):= v1 + 2*v2 +3*v3f2(v):= v1 - v2 ect.and then assigning manually each function to a relative place in a vector like :manual_fun_vec1:=f1(v)manual_fun_vec2:=f2(v)ect.But in this way i'cant evaluate directly for example the i-esim function in an assigned vector x : ( 4; 1 ; 7)  Like :   manual_fun_vec1(x) -->I've to do a temp passage : tmp(v):=manual_fun_vec1  then i can do :      tmp(x) ->    to obtain result.I'm searching for a direct assign like :direct_fun_vec(v)1:= v1 + 2*v2 +3*v3 ect.so i can evaluate each function in a for cycle like :for i e 1..Nsum<- sum + direct

Hello all,I'm trying to plot a mathcad xy graph but with results dismal.As you can see from the image , since the variable is repeated the array of points become an integer again and so the graph just shows one point.I know i could multiply the function so that it become x^2+x but this in not a solution since this is just an example for a much more complicated function I need to plot, that would become simply a monster if i would multiplicate all toghether.Hope there's a easy solution for this problem!
