Dear Experts,I have a family table with few instances associated with WTParts.Add to Workspace the instance [Generic is added to workspace - I don't want to happen]Wanted to modify values of the instance alone [ Generic is asked to be checked out - I don't want this to happen]Checkin the instance to iterate the version along with WTPart. Generic to remain same.Any thoughts, if there any preference to achieve this.Thanks

Hello everyone,It's my first post here and Thingworx is great !!. I'm just getting started and I need an advise on dynamic grid usage. I have a Tree widget(Network input) , populating list of machines. Based on the selection of the machine (tree-id) , i have a list box populating values (machine high level parameters). For each high level parameter there are several low level parameters which i have in infotable. What i would like to see is , when the high level parameter is selected in the list , the grid should display the low level parameter. The grid must be dynamic to adjust to the number of different low level parameters. Can someone help with me it, Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,We are implementing ESI to send the wtpart information to Oracle.Its all working great so far with the exception of one problem.When a revised version of a  Assembly wtpart is sent to Oracle (ERP) on the workflow, the ESI code is also sending all the child parts to Oracle at whatever version they are at. This is fine if all the child parts are also Released on the workflow (change object) together. The problem is that if at anytime a child part is revised from Released to In Work to the next Version then that un-official version would also be sent to Oracle (for ESI code).Assembly Ver. B "In Work" > Ver. B "Released = sent to OraclePart1 Ver. Is there a way I can restrict user from modifying CAD part in workspace without checkout. Currently windchill allows to modify if we select continue in creo conflict window. But changes are saved to windchill common space only when we checkout and checkin.I have everything which is not checked out should be ready only or locked.

I am having an issue with Arbortext Publishing Engine 7.0 M010 using an XSL-FO stylesheet. PE is not reading the fo:external-graphic content height attribute value.CODE: <fo:external-graphic src="cams.png" content-height="0.50in"/>It blows the graphic up more that 10 times the size. The only content height I have been able to get to work is a percentage.Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so what did you do to correct it?Thanks,Sarah Price

I am trying to import PostgreSQL extension (http://marketplace.thingworx.com/Items/Relational-databases-connectors) to my freshly installed Thingworx 7.1 (Postgres version) and I am facing such problem:In the logs I can see errors:[message: Checking ThingWorx system JARS conflict(s) detected [package: PostgreSQL_ExtensionPackage].  Check application log for details!]JAR conflict Checking ThingWorx system JARS [existing: postgresql-9.4-1201-jdbc4.jar, package: postgresql-9.4-1204-jdbc41.jar]I believe that extension management tries to deploy jar with postgres connector classes, such jar already exists and that is causing the problem.How to solve this properly?

I have a generic assembly and in a family table. I got a couple questions/issues1) Can I drag around the columns to re-order them? For example, I have several parts and I wanted to make the Feature ID of them all in numerical order (to make future searches easier). Can I do a sort to make them in order outside of the "Swap Two Column" command (because with over 40 numbers that will take forever)2) Is there an easy way to add a part to the family table when you know the part number, but not exactly where in the assembly is it located? I want to draw lines on a drawing. But struggle to draw a line which can be horizontal or vertical. I tried with snapping a point; it worked somewhat but not with complete comfortable. How can I assign geometrical and Mechanical properties to a series of reinforcement bars and have them saved on the system or pre-established so everytime I perform a calculation I simply pull out the bar number and the parameters automatically are displayed. please see attachments. Thank you.

I've been doing some experimenting with large deformation analysis.I want to twist the end of the beam around, several times (don't ask why, I just need it done).In a large deformations analysis you can not prescribe a tangential displacement in radians. It has to be "unit of length" mm in my case. So I did this for the circular curve on the end of the tapered bitI get it to rotate about 360 degrees, no further, however large I make the value for prescribed displacement (the value in the field is now 9000mm (160 full turns....).I stopped the analysis after I found out that displacements no longer increased.Any body knows how to tackle this?Shall we classify this as a bug?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team.
