We are planning to create the WTPart for our existing data.   I can see we can limit this utility run at folder level but which may be more time consuming process on our side as we have multiple folders. Is there any way to run this utility for specific context or at-least all sub-folders within that context?   Also how to link or update attribute values from EPMDocument to WTPart? Hi Guys,I have following (maybe dumm) question.I am using a DataFilter widget I can see that query property is bindable in both directions. I would like to create sort of "default query" for my queryService which would persist.I have assigned query from DataFilter widget and added one filter to query inside service parameter directly. That one does not seem to take any effect.How to create a default query for DataFilter widget. I was thinking about to create a property(ies) inside some thing which would hold the queries, but its not as flexible as I would like to be.Any ideas?

Hi,   we have colleagues using Chinese version of Creo 2.0. If they create Chinese Text elements they use the default font - "font_chinese_cn". If we open this files with an English Creo the default font is "font" and only boxes are displayed instead of chinese symbols.   if we edit a text file and change the font from default to "font_chinese_cn" or Windows own "SimHei" they symbols get displayed.   Is there any way to batch change the default font or add Chinese symbols to font.ndx? adding chfnt.fnt to font.ndx doe not work.   We are testing a solution to change the default font to "font_chinese_cn". But we are little bit worried about the side effects.   Is there any best practice setup for multinational Creo Teams?   Our preferred solution would be, our Chinese colleagues using an explicit font, so we can just install this font on all machines. Hi.. I want to change scale of my drawing through mapkey but the command is not getting recorded it needs manual selection. so is there any command instead of highlighted below. Hi, i'm learning to use creo direct for work and i come from solidworks. On solidworks (and every 3D program) i use a lot the rapid views (front, side, rear, top etc...) by using this selection wheel that appears with a right mouse button click: Can i add something similar to creo direct? with a plugin maybe? Hi everyone,I'm looking to set up a server for PTC Windchill using Windows Server 2012. In the Prerequisites section of the PTC Windchill PDM Essentials "Getting Started" Guide, it states that the system requires, "2 processors (4 recommended with concurrent server-side publishing)." Can someone clarify whether this means two independent processors, or just one multi-core processor, or something else? Thanks.Sean

I know that in assembly mode you can constrain a model parallel from face to a plane.I need to import and position a customer model in part mode.  It doesn't seem that the above capability is available in part mode.I can rotate a quilt in one direction in part mode but can't align a face to a compound angle.  When you rotate in one direction 1st and another direction next it can move the 1st rotation slightly out of position.I would like to be able to make a flat face on my part align in a parallel direction with one movement.I don't prefer to do the alignment in assembly mode because it would require an extra data transfer (and possible added IDD errors) to get the customer model in part mode.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hello All,The problem is that if we have customer requirements (RQ1) which we aggre and derive internal requirements (RQ2) from it, than this requirements could be also a"customer requirements" for our supplier (They are the sub-supplier for the main Customer) which slhall be tracked and documented what the different suppliers agreed what not, but actually we can document the discussions and agreemnets only on our customer side (RQ1) level and not possible to do it on RQ2 level where our requirements are defined to our supplier.Is there any general way, what Integrity tool propose to use for managing sub-supplier requirements agreements, discusioons, deviation lists?BR, János

Hi,I have been using creo 3.0 for quite a few years and new to mathcad prime 3.0.I am facing problems with respect to inconsistency of units while initiating "Prime Analysis" from creo analysis tab.When I set a creo dimension, which is in "mm unit", as an input to mathcad prime variable, it is shown as "m unit" in creo analysis window whereas "mm unit" in mathcad prime worksheet. While the values are shown calculated according to mm.Moreover, the value of output variable in mathcad prime displays in "mm unit", however, when I see it on creo analysis window, it displays in "m unit", actually calculated in mm.Someone please advise me , what am I missing?

At work my computer is acting up in the morning so the IT guy told me to update to windows 10 (currently running windows 7). We are still running wildifre 4.0 on most of our engineer's computers and mine is running 5.0 so I was just wondering if these would still work for us if we all updated to windows 10.Thanks,Zach

Hello all, anyone have any idea why a search path config option keeps defaulting back to (null). This option worked fine, finding the directory it pointed to, in older versions of Creo, but in Creo 3 it keeps defaulting to (null). I keep opening my config file, i locate the search path option, i browse to the specific directory, i save the config file. All seems ok until i close out the session. Hi All,I believe I have found a bug with the Google Maps widget but didn't want to log a case with PTC in case somebody had a solution?It appears when using a Google Maps widget inside a contained mashup (in my case the contained mashup of a Master) the widget appears to be distorted as below:Note: The above example uses geofencing which currently only has ONE region created. I am also using ThingWorx 7.1The widget content should fill the whole space but instead just a square in the corner.

Hi,I am using Creo 2.0. When using dimension in drawing mode the tail length of the dimension arrow often is too long. Hi everyone,I have a little problem and I really hope someone can help me with that.I created an EPMDocument by using an expression robot. Now I would like to automatically check-in this EPMDocument into the commonspace via a Java code, so that not only the person who created the document can see it in his workspace but also everyone else. I tried to use a method robot (for check in) for this, but that caused an error. Can anyone please help me or point me in the right direction?I'd really appreciate it.Thanks,Willi

Hi,I have three equations which I want to solve. The equations are made up of variables which change according to a specific angle which updates them.  I want to get the results as a vector which shows how they change according the angle which is changing the input values. Basically I want to input 10 values and get 10 answers out. But the "find" command that I am using just isnt accepting it. It only accepts one input and gives me the output, I must then go change the input to get the next output; but I want a nice set of vectors to do this in one step.Im not sure if I explained that the best but if anyone could tell me if the find command is capable of such a thing or if theres another way to get around it..such as a loop or something.Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanyou!Cameron

HI,Has anyone found a way to get Creo Simulate fasteners to work with Through and Blind Holes that have Draft applied to them or do we need to request an enhancement?Appreciate any tips you have with dealing with this issue.
