We just updated to Creo Parametric 3.0 (M070). We have noticed that the middle-mouse-button (MMB) no longer completes features as it did in Creo Parametric 2.0.  Is anyone else seeing this?  Does anyone know how to fix it?  We have a call into PTC, but we are not getting helpful answers yet.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. We have the standard bulk item relation in the BOM that sets QQTY to AR if the item is a bulk item part.I added a second relation that would set the QTY to AR if the number was a certain value. It was a shown item in the drawing, a clamp, that was noted use as many as needed. Sorry if this question might seem trivial or a repetition but here is my question:I will use a simple function to explain my problem -  If I have a function say f(x) = x^3+20x+20. And x is a range variable e.g x=2,4,6....20. If I plot in Mathcad the function f(x) vs x, I get a polynomial curve. Now, If I say, f(x) = 22.375 is a fixed limiting value for which I want to know the value of x at this limiting value of f(x), how do I tell Mathcad to give me this value of x for which f(x)=22.375. Is there a program or Mathcad function that I can write for Mathcad to solve this for me.I have given a very simple function to explain my problem but the function which I am dealing with is much more complex. Hi allJust playing around with features of Creo that I haven't used before - I have created a sketch on a Datum surface and then projected it onto the surface of a cylinderas shown:So the question now is what can I do with it? It no longer behaves as a sketch and won't extrude so if anyone could enlighten me as to the possibilities I would be most grateful.Not trying to do anything special - just trying stuff out!Thanks

Trying to move balloons in 3.0 is now a PITA (or appears to be)   In 2.0 there was a menu that appeared that would allow me to select what I wanted to attach the balloon to (surface, entity, edge, etc...) Hi,I have created Java extension to create a thing template and services.One of the service extract Date from Thingworx mashup i.e. DATETIME picker and pass it to sql query eg. "select * from db_table where date between from_date and to_date".So i created the service and defined parameter as@ThingworxServiceParameter( name="From_Date", description="From Date", baseType="DATETIME" )  Date from_dateBut when i run the service from Thingworx composer i get error as "Cannot cast org.joda.time.DateTime to java.lang.Date"Can anyone help me here to pass date from mashup to java extension? How to print a range of sheets in Drawing Environment? Presently it does not seem to be working.In the settings window even though we enter page range in this format "1-3" only the current sheets gets plotted. Hello I am making a home security system for a senior project and I seem to be running into an issue. I want to create a log in page where the end user will be able to long into with there credentials and then have access to the viewing of the different aspects on the mashup I am creating. I have gone to the Thingworx Marketplace and saw a log out button that I could request for but no Log in?? Anyone have any ideas for a way to accept a pin for a pass code.

Hi folks,   I am using Creo Elements / Direct Modeling Express.  I am trying to loft through three profiles on three workplanes in a workplane set.  The profiles are fairly simple shapes with four vertices each.  But one of the workplanes is perpendicular to another one and one edge of the profile on one is coextensive with one edge of a profile in another workplane (and I think that may be causing a problem).  Anyway, when I try to create an appropriate matchline I get an error message which says: "If a vertex lies in another workplane, a vertex must be at the same position in the other workplane."  I don't know what that means and cannot create a loft between the three profiles on the three workplanes.  What must I do to create this loft?  I have attached a drawing with the three workplanes so you can see what I am talking about.   Thanks in advance,   VincentThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hi,I am trying to create a simple mash up containing List box and 2 Gauges.Things are loaded to the List on mash up load. On selection of particular thing, I want to display one thing property in gauge.I bound the thing property to the Gauge as per my need.  But in mash up view, not able to find indicator needle? I have not been formally taught how to use PTC software so have learnt everything by intuition, playing, a few guides and the help of you on here.However having said all of that, I am somewhat confused on the method of correctly assembling a counter sunk screw into a countersunk hole. What makes sense to me is to:1) Make the cylindrical part of the screw centered on the cylindrical part of the hole, or use axis alignment if there is no cylindrical part (material too thin)2) Make the conical surface of the hole coincident with the conical surface of the screw.Now to me there is nowhere else that screw can be than fuly mated in the hole. Hi,I've created an SQL query service and added insert statement.Though the insert statement successfully runs, I get "Unable to Invoke Service TestSQLInsert on MyDBThing : null".The default Output type is INFOTABLE. Even after changing this output type to Long or anything, I get the same error.What is the correct output type I should use? Is it right to have INSERT/UPDATE statements in SQL Query service? I know I'm asking this wrong, so forgive the noob question...   I have an assembly with a single part I've modeled "In Conext" (SolidWorks term, not sure it applies here), but in short, it's nothing more than a rectangle, and I need to instance the assembly.  My problem is my assembly Family table is working fine, but my part is not.  I know how to do this in SolidWorks, but I'm guessing it has to be different in Creo, I'm just not sure how.   Do I need to create Family Table instances of the part as well?  I'm guessing I do, but all the of the geometry in the part is tied to the assembly - meaning there are no dimensions in the part, so how do I do this?  Or do I need to make the part "Flexible"?   I'm using Creo Parametric 2.0 DateCode M130.   Thanks for any help...This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team.
