Has anyone ever publish Windchill url to the internet using Microsoft's ISA server?  I know about the Apache reverse proxy option, but IT prefers using ISA. I would think it is straight forward, but you can never tell. Oh and the certificate name is different from the server name.

Dear all,I am a beginner of using Mathcad 15 and I have a very basic question regarding to the data import and solving an equation. I try to simplify my questions: I have a text file containing two columns of data with column 1 is "a" and column 2 is "b". I would like to solve the equation a*x^2 - b = 0 to get x value. This means once I import (a0, b0) I have x0 export and so on so forth. I would like to export all x values into a file. Can someone please tell me how I can do this? I'm working on scripts for our team that will help automate creating sandbox with MANY files. In some cases, I'm required to not include files from specific directories. So I'd like to know if I'm creating a sandbox, how do I remove a file from the Sandbox, so that it doesn't show up on the local directory, and also if possible also not seen in the client. I'm also looking for a solution that doesn't involve limiting the whole configuration of a sandbox, but instead only in a specific sub sandbox.

I'm running a legacy version of TW and have ported the Edge C-SDK available at that time for use on of our devices.PlatformSDK6.0.31-2-1-261The latest available platform is 1.3.1.957, updated on Sep 4, 2015, according to marketplace.Can I run C-SDK 1.3.1.957 on Thingworx 6.0.3.There are two reasons for this:There is a networking bug in the 1.2 C-SDK which was resolved here.Server side has already been setup.Thanks,Gerard

Hello all,I've been using Integrity for years now and recently got a little confused.One thing seemed to be craved in stone, when it comes to creating a sandbox:"You cannot and must not create a sandbox inside (below) and existing sandbox".The Sandbox creation dialog, prevents this "possibly dangerous" usage, by checking the target directory and it's parent directory for an already existing *.pj file.This strategy did not change officially:I checked the release notes back to 2009 and up to I10.6.I checked all user and admin manuals up to 10.6 I could find. Nevertheless in our current 10.6 installation, we can create a sandbox wherever we want. The only warning that is shown by Integrity occurs when creating two sandboxes in the same directory that have the same name for the .pj file (e.g. "project.pj").Are we facing a bug, or is this "works as designed" ? If so WHEN did the traditional design change and WHY?Any Ideas ( different or same experiences ) are welcome.Thank you in advance Ma

Until Arbortext 7 there used to be toolbar button "Insert Equation", but in 7.0 there is no such button. Can someone tell me how can i have it back? FYI:There are some other toolbar button also that are missing in 7.0

Can someone explain why a new option appears in the New Dialog when connected to Windchill? Can it be suppressed?The Windchill instance is SIM 10.2 M030.Thanks.

I have created a hole pattern using the Point method in the dropdown menu (Pattern --> Point --> Sketch).  For some reason when I try to have the hole have a counterbore, the hole locations shift offcenter from the original sketch location.  Without counterbore it seems to be fine.  The pictures attached are me simply changing the hole type to/from counterbore.  I did not modify the sketch nor is there anything that would link back to it (that I have put in).    I've had this happen before on other parts but it seems to be random.  I'm modeling this part in aircraft coordinates so the face is at an angle with respect to the original coordinate axes/planes.  Could this have something to do with the issue, even though relative to the surfaces all the features are perpendicular?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I need to measure distance between two axis but get results in X,Y,Z, coordinates. I want to create a global result table with fixed columns. From anywhere behind the definition of that table I will insert new result lines or modify existing rows. Hi friends,   I am trying to make a manual log splitter using gears and springs. Check attached files.My attempt is to solve for x at a certain p value. Can anyone explain why the solve command and solve block fails?According to Brent Maxfield's monograph “Essential PTC Mathcad Prime 3.0 (2014)” ch.10 pg. 312, the 3.0 version has a bug with modifiers which could implement constraints. Has this been fixed in 3.1? I want to eliminate complex roots and filter real roots.. Will assume command be any use in 3.1 as it make no difference in 3.0 version?Does the solver fail because of the expression in the equation “’x’ to the power ‘i’” where x has multiple roots and “i” is also running from 1-14, 1-17? However, in reality “i” is affiliated in sigma and when expanded it cannot be considered as a range.. Can this be sorted if I re-arrange it in vector form? HiWe are using Integrity Client 10.8.0.8356I can successfully execute the "im.exe --gui runchart chartname" CLI commandI can also successfully execute the web interface URL for runchart, i.e. http://server:port/im/runchart?selection=chartnameHowever when I try to execute integrity://server:port/im/runchart?selection=chartname,I get an error message box saying MKS154477: Command "runchart" is not supported for use in Integrity URL links. wonder if I am  using the right syntax or not. Greetings:I recently started a new engineering position  (6 weeks), and this is my first time using Creo.  I come from the Inventor/Solidworks/ Solidedge world   I have been using Creo for 5-6 weeks and I am absolutely struggling mastering the basics to the level of frustration that I have leave my office and go for walks to calm down, and considering re-activating my job search.  In the previous CAD packages they were easy to use and never required training.    I've asked for some training (first time ever) but its gotten shot down, and in the meantime there is a concern that I'm not producing designs.   To top that off I'm at a small company with myself being the only ME/Creo user, so I have no one to ask questions on the s/w.  I started some one of the tutorials, but I stopped it after I was not getting the same results after multiple time.  Can some PLEASE recommend a Creo for dummies book, any help would be appreciatedFra

Hey guys.  So I'm fairly new to CREO, I'm taking my first class on it this semester.  For a term project we're required to model all parts of a chainsaw.  Right now I'm working on a piece with a noncircular curve and I'm looking for some advice on the best way to do it.  A couple things I've tried so far: - Datum -> Curve -> Curve through points (I traced my part onto paper, made a coordinate plane to plot points on the curve (did about 25), and then used this curve through points).  The downside on this one is that although I tried my best to be accurate, measuring points to the 64th of an inch, they still didn't line up in a perfect curve.  However, this looks very close to the curve.  The only other thing is I'm not sure what the best way to dimension the part on my drawing would be (dimensioning 25 points would probably look terrible but again I'm new, maybe that's how it's done?)   - Tried plotting the points in the STAT of my calculat

We have a large number of .asc files created back when Methuselah was a lad in I-Deas MS7. I have been asked if we can read these with Creo when we move to it from WF4 and to WIN7 and there is no mention of it in any of the documentation I have read. I-Deas will run in Win 7 but it has no support so IT would like to see it's use discontinued.

Hi,if we would like to modfiy attributes of the markup, where the cursor is placed in, the Arbortext Editor shows the attributes of the wrong element.You can see this in this example:The cursor is inside the tag "para" but the modify attribute dialog shows the attribute dialog of the element "emphasis".Our expectation is that the editor shows the attributes of "para", because the cursor is inside this element.Can we change this behaviour? We want to load Arbortext Editor onto a server and have users RDP onto the server and use Arbortext Editor. Currently i have a floating license which allows one person, can i get a floating license that allows multiple people.

I am working on an administrative JSP page that would allow me to Set-State on wtdocuments and/or epmdocuments. I am using the Search-Objects webject to search for and get the information about the documents but, I cannot find a webect that allows me to set-state. Would anyone know how this could be accomplished in a JSP page? Is this something I would need to create a java class to handle? I have limited exposure to java so I would like to stick with the JSP if possible. Here is the search page I have currently. Working on building an integration that relies on the Gateway. I have the Integration Builder's Guide but as far as the actual API documentation, the only places I can seem to find that is via the internet, hosted on third party sites. The Integration Builder's Guide doesn't make it apparent where to locate the documentation. Am I missing something obvious?Also in the release version information, for version 4.10 it says "API support for PTC Gateway". The Integration Builder's Guide doesn't mention the Gateway elsewhere, so I'm unsure of the commands to use to have code for my integration interact with the Gateway for import/export.
