Hello,  Revision number  = a unique number used to identify a revision in an archive.   Revisions on the trunk are numbered as two-part decimals  (that is, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, …).   Can someone explain the reasons behind the idea why the first revision number  is 1.1 and not 1.0 ?See also the screen capture for an example of project history and member historyThank you!

Can someone help me with a mathcad 3.0 numerical solution for the problem attached. I need to be able to write a loop to compute the displacements, velocity, and accelerations at each time step, and then plot these graphs vs time.thanks

I am new to programming in MathCad but have done plenty of while loops in other programs. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong here. Please help. I know the while loop converges because I can do it by hand in a few iterations.Thank you for anyone who has a few minutes to take a look.

I have designed several parts to be put into an assembly. My assembly came together perfectly, then for some reason when I went to re-open the file at a later time, all but 1 of my parts would not regenerate. When I look in the feature information, this is what I am presented with. COMPONENT #5 (BOTTOM1) failed regeneration. Feature geometry is not up-to-date. Reasons for failure: Component model is missing. I am sure that the model is in the correct location.One thing I did shortly before this all happened was add a parameter "ID-string-(x)" to each individual part.I can't even open the part file. When on a sheet of multiple details in a .drw file, I used to be able to switch between parts by right clicking the view I want, then the shortcut menu would give me the option to "set/add drawing model" to the current view.I would be able to quickly change the model shown in the model tree to the new model I need.This seems to have disappeared in Creo3.Anyway to get it back?I bet carpenters would just love it if their hammers changed every few years and they were worthless until they learned how to use the new ones.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I have an old (10+ years) worksheet in which I solved an apparently stiff ode using Bulstoer (without using the Jacobian). Having a reason to resuscitate the worksheet I tried rewriting it using Odesolve, which worked for loading but not for unloading (look at worksheet to see what this means). Trying the different solvers in Odesolve did not help. Can someone give me some insight into what is going on? Maybe I was just smarter 10+ years ago, but I do not think I would have hit upon using Bulstoer if I had to do it over again.

My company is replacing Adobe Acrobat with Nuance PowerPDF. Currently we set our default printer to "Adobe PDF" and Arbortext creates a PDF file after composition. I have a few questions:1. We get Acrobat Distiller with our Acrobat installation. When I set my default  printer to "Adobe PDF" is Distiller being used? I can't see how it is connected to Distiller. I uninstalled Distiller and Acrobat and I was still able to compose PDF files from Arbortext Editor. I am trying to ensure that when we lose Acrobat and Distiller we will still be able to compose to PDF; I don't know why I still can compose PDF without Distiller installed. Perhaps "Adobe PDF" is actually a different program? The Printer Properties don't tell me anything.2. Has anybody ever used Nuance with Arbortext Editor? If so, could you tell me how to set it up.We have an ancient system (5.3) that was installed before my time, sp there is a lot I don't know. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to get Datum A to be placed under the shaft pictured below here. It was originally on that long axis, and so far, I've managed to move it to the view on the right, but I cannot find a way to get that datum to display on the shaft, specifically on the bottom edge just right of the 1.192 dimension. I have attempted to place it like so within the Properties menu and clicking on "On Geometry" and clicking on the surface of the shaft, but am having no luck in that area. Even just trying to right click and go to Properties for the datum in the drawing, it lets me select almost every other line except that bottom line for "On Geometry". Hopefully that isn't too confusing. Simply put, I want to get Datum A from where it currently is - far right view - and put it on the bottom line of the shaft next to the 1.192 dimension. I have a problem that is similar to some previous threads, but I have been unable to locate a solution.  I need to install a flex circuit into a semi-spherical shape and will need to play with the geometry to get the best shape for sufficient coverage and 'fit' to the surface.  Realizing that I will never get a true fit to the domed surface with the flex circuit, my plan was to iterate the design by creating flat patterns of the trimmed surface but I am not able to produce the pattern I desire.  My intent is to have the flat pattern 'unwrap' from the domed surface rather than project to a flat surface (as intended with formed parts).  The flatten quilt feature in the model shows how it is shrinking the geometry in the flat pattern, where I would prefer it to maintain a comparable size.  I have also attempted to use the Flatten-Quilt Deformation tool, but was unable to configure it properly to generate a solution.    I realize that what I'm asking for

Hello,   I use multisheet drawings and would like to sort out a prolblem with number of parts in subassembly sheets. We must use a specific method of numbering (that cannot be driven by repeat region atributes) where each subassembly drawing contains total number of subassemblies and total number of each part. That's why we have to rewrite number of parts in each subassembly drawing manually. Hello Windchill community,I'm having heavy trouble finding a document, article or whatever that concisely mentions all of the key differences between different Windchill PDM-Link versions, i.e., new features, bugfixes etc...I'm specifically looking for a comparison between 10.1 M040 and 10.2 M030. I know of a couple of them but want to make sure I catch everything; anyone know where I can find something like this, or better yet some kind of online live-comparison web function where I can type in any two versions I want and it spits out the differences live?Please advise,Daryl

Does anyone know if there is a way of making the title of a results window visible in Creo 3.0 Simulate (M020)? This was possible easily in Creo Simulate 2.0 and now it does not do it. In  a previous discussion I presented a contact example to compare ANSYS with Creo. In that case, both results were credible, and Creo's results was somewhat more realistic, but that was with default ANSYS mesh, and no particular effort to refine mesh/convergence in either model.I have here made a similar example, a pre-loaded bolt that clamps two parts together. The pre-load is generated with a coeff. of thermal expansion= 0.001 for the bolt, and a -1 temp load that makes the bolt contract. The aluminium plates have coeff. of thermal expansion = 0. The bolt is made of stainless steel.The results here differ more. Creo's contact area is smaller but has higher max contact pressure. ANSYS was run with frictionless contacts and 1 and 10 in normal stiffness factor in two different runs. The ANSYS solution seem indifferent to mesh refinement, i.e. the mesh should be OK. As far as I can see, the material properties are identical. I'm not too experienced with ANSYS, so I struggle with th
