New to ThingWorx, have been plowing through the various forums, use cases, and other collateral.Need a pointer to how to get started with the following:Have Edge Micro Server installed on Linux machine and have connection to ThingWorx cloud Platform.Where do I learn, or where are examples, of what and how I push data to port 8000 on the EMS and how I prepare the platform to ingest that data?I know "it depends" on use case and sensor(s) used and a bunch of other stuff.  For now just want to understand at the level of the web socket (aka port 8000).  I'll get the data moving from my sensor(s) as soon as understand what goes into port 8000 such that the platform can pull it out on the other side.Just need a starting place, I can do the legwork if given enough context and example.Thanks,

If I am making a custom widget, how do I add a custom Category (so when you click the Category dropdown, I could have my own category)?  It's straight forward in the widget IDE code, but how do I physically create the category in the ThingWorx IDE?

The video 'How to Use the File Upload Widget' at   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyxGNy5mztk is a good start, but I think it could be more helpful.It shows using a File Upload widget (which uploads to the SystemRepository on the ThingWorx server), but in the example video, the ThingWorx server is running on the developer's laptop.  I would like to see an example that is in an environment more like a real world deployment, where the ThingWorx server is not running on the same laptop from which the file is being uploaded. In that type of environment, how can I view the contents of a repository, since the repository will not be on my laptop?  Can I pull a list of the contents of the SystemRepository (or other repo) out and display in a list widget, like I can with directories on edge devices?Also, I think a lot of people will be using File Upload not to simply get a file to the SystemRepository, but to push a file all the way down to an edge device.  To do this,

Hi, We are using the windchill project plan to track the activities. We defined activities in the plan and added custom tabs such as the ActionItems and Notebook to track information. But these two tabs showing with grey background instead of blue for the original two tabs (Details and Related Objects). It also turned out that other team members do not see these two custom tabs at all. This makes it hard for us to track the action items and other information. From time to time I have an urgent need to communicate to my Windchill users. For example if I need to bring the system down for some sort of emergency reason. Dear experts, I'm a third year Agronomy major from Costa Rica. I'm calculating degree days built up for every day in a given data set with over 7 000 observations. Each observation is an hourly average so 24 observations make for 1 day. There are around 300 days in my data set. Growing Degree Days is a measure of acumulated energy in a system during 1 day and it is calculated as follows:Max T = Highest temperature measured from 0000 to 2400; Min T = Lowest temperature measured from 0000 to 2400; Tbase = Minimum temperature required for crop growth (specified by literature)GDD = (Max T - Min T)/2 - TbaseSo, what I want to do is grab my data set, split it into 300 or so chunks of 24 observations. Out of those 24 observations I need to calculate the maximum and the minimum. With those values determined I can now calculate GDD. I would call this behavior a bug. The integral is only found if the symbolics is forced to float mode (it also happens if you use the "float" keyword).Does anybody know when it was introduced or can anybody confirm the bug in earlier versions of Mathcad than M15 M030?

I have a very extensive BOM and there is one specific Item that has the part number and description blank. I have no idea where this item is as my model tree is filled with assemblies and sub-assemblies going down atleast 5 levels each.Is there an easy way to search for the location of an item from the BOM? Dear all,       using Creo 2.0 M100 and every time I'm working on a drawing model, when clicking the first time on the toolbar "Table" (to perform a baloons creation, repeat region operations, etc...) I must wait at least 15 seconds before to start typing some other commands. The mouse pointer remain in loading status for an unidentifyed reason.   This is not a big problem but of course a waste of time that with ProE WF2.0 we didn't experienced before. Hello,I am attempting to program a simple for loop to increment a single variable in an equation and plot the equation as a function of the variable. I have attached the mathcad worksheet. The issue arises on page 3 of the worksheet. The value I am trying to find is "Sigma_max" as "e" increases from 0 to 1 in 0.01 increments. I'm sure this is easily remedied and due to my own mathcad ineptitude. What am I missing?Thanks in advance!-Ryan

I have a Windchill Prediction where I am using reliability data from the NPRD 2011 Parts library. It does not appear to be converting the failure rate based on what environment I specify for the overall prediction.For example. I am using NPRD-22114, which is a Power Amplifier with a failure rate of 13.991493. The environment for this particular part is N- NAVAL.The prediction I am doing is for a ground benign environment (GB, GC). The prediction does not convert the failure rate, it is still using the 13.99 value in the overall prediction. Temperature doesn't seem to have an effect, either.Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to get the conversion factor done automatically or do I have to add an Mult FR for each part?

I have a drawing template created. In the template is a format, the BOM balloon table, and 2 views (one of which is tagged to show the BOM balloons). Whe the template is used: I get the following error: Warning: The balloons can not be shown in the view on page 1 because there has been no BOM balloon repeat region set. The region is on the drawing template. How do you set this so the baloons are created directly from the template. Hello, I use Distribute batch utility (Creo 3) for creating pdfs from drawings. But I have problem. The parts or assemblies that I have drawings from, are depended on top assembly. Some features or component placements in subassemblies are depended on top assembly. When I use batch utility it loads only the part or assembly for the drawing. The drawing has then some missing components, because the top assembly is not loaded . When I create pdfs manually I open the top assembly and then the drawings... Is there a way how to automate this using the batch utility?The next problem is with mass calculation. I use relation in every model (prt_mass =  mp_mass("")) and this parameter I use in tables and  repeat region on drawings. Everything is ok but one, only this one (it is washer from family table of washers) need to regenerate every time I open the drawing (I don't know why). It is same with all the drawings where this washer is. It doesn't update If I regenerate the model from

I have been having problem with Mathcad Prime 3.1 crashing lately.  First, when I load my files, some random equations will be red-circled as "Unknown Error: mpl%_Exception".  (see attached image).  As soon as I start changing the values on my worksheet, Mathcad would crash.At first, I thought it might be migration issue from my Prime 2.0 file to Prime 3.1, but I realized even if I try a simple calculation in a new file, Mathcad would crash.  ex. a:=1m, b:=2m, c:=a+b=  (see attached image)I am now stuck, not being to load any of my worksheets.  Could anybody offer any suggestion or explanation?  I am running Mathcad Prime 3.1 Express, on Windows 7 service pack 1, 64bit.  Intel Core i5-3470 CPU 3.20GHz, 8 GB RAM.  I did try reinstalling the software with same result.Thanks in advance for helping out.

Hi,I’m new to PTC Creo Simulate, been using Ansys on my old company. But I wonder if there is some way to visually show the Resultant direction ( I know about Review Total Load ), I have looked but I can’t seem to find something like that.Added some extra information. I’m working on a 5 pocket Chain Wheel, and I have applied forces in as shown in the image, but I need my Resultant to point down, as that is the direction chain is coming in. This does not have to be very accurate. After Installing Creo 3.0, and attempting to launch Creo parametric through the shortcut created on the desktop, An error came up, saying that windows could not find the application Parametric.exe, I had a search through were it was installed and couldn't find it either. I have re-installed it twice and reconfigured it once, to no avail.   Any help is much appreciated.
