Hi,I have been thinking of this for a while. When a dimension is required in modeling a part, I put a fractional number. For instance I put 15/32, is actually equal to .46875. It always been round into .469 since the default_dec_places is set into 3. That makes me have to type in .46875 to get 15/32, which is what I want. ( It is easier for me to input fractional number compare to a long decimal number) My question: Is there any setting to make CREO to convert this fractional value without round it, or just simply keep it that way when it is input as fractional number. I downloaded the recently released Protocol Adapter SDK from the ThingWorx IoT Marketplace. The user guide is not matching my setup experience. The download is packaged as a .JAR file, and the setup instructions say:"Use the methods necessary to import the source files into your IDE of choice.In Eclipse, this should happen simply by using File > Import and importing the root folder as a filesystem."I've tried a hundred variations of importing the jar, its unzipped version, its disassembled version using a third party jar/class disassemble program, no success. I am finding it incredibly difficult to get to the .java source files that are given as the example from which to edit and work.Has anyone tried this adapter yet? at least tried the setup instructions? I'm not a java expert and new to eclipse too so there's a large chance its user error, but I've exhausted every path I could think of.ThanksAlex

In our titleblock we have the parameter '&scale'. Now the scale comes decimal but is there a way to place it fractional?

Hey,I am new to PTC and needed to work with PTC since 2 month.I have 2 years of experience with TortoiseSVN and now i have to get in the new PTC Environment. I wonder where the very simple basic functions which TortoiseSVN comes up with are in PTC.In TortoiseSVN i can simply see in the WindowsExplorer in which Folder is a Change in a file.I can right click the Folder in the Explorer and will get instantly the Option to see all differences in the Folder lokally compared to the repository .I will only see the effected Folder and below them the files. Everything else is hidden, because its not interesting.Then i can also right click in the Explorer on a Folder and see the Log.I will then see all changes since the Sourcecode got introduced as a new Project in SVN.I can see each check-In, or in PTC-Language: Change-packages.I can see a comment to the check-In and i also can see which files changed.I also can simply see, what Revision i got and what the current Revision is.Ok in PTC, first o

Hello all !I added parameters to the model tree for my manufacturing models. I managed to add cutter compensation, spindle speed, and feed rate. I wanted to add plunge and ramp feed rate, but I didn't find them. Are those two last parameters available to display in model tree ? Heyif I try to execute the following macro (clicking the "Switch Dimensions"-Button in Tools ribbon):ProMacroLoad(L"~ Command `ProCmdInfoSwitchDims` ;");ProMacroExecute();I get "PRO_TK_NOT_VALID" - The specified macro is not valid as error. Hello all, I have a question about surface reflection analysis. How do you interpret what you are seeing with regards to what is a good surface set or bad surface set. I often shade a model in this way, but I am not entirely sure I know what the analysis is showing me. I tend to rely more on surface meshing & general shading to determine whether I have good or bad surfaces. I would like to know more about this tool, whether it has real benefits or whether it is something not really worth using. I searched the help files, but there isn't really anything there explaining the analysis results.John

Someone else logged into their windchill account in Creo on my computer and then when I tried to log back in the server seemed to be down. I went to server managment and sure enough the server is Offline. I right clicked to uncheck "Work offline" button and the window the pops up doesnt let me click OK!I right clicked the server and did a "check" but it gives me this error:Does anyone know what this means: You have no workspace to register. You cannot register this server without a workspace.Anyone think they know whats going on?

Hello Guys i have easy task to solved on paper even but can't find the proper code in Mathcad for it.The main task is really simple : A horizontal force of P = 100 N is just sufficient to hold the crate from sliding down the plany, and a horizontal force of P= 350N is required to just push the crate up the plane. Determine the coefficient of static friction between the plany and the crate, and find the mass of the crate.I don't want go deeper in technical aspect of this easy taks to calculate. The problem is in Matchad and my limited knowledge. How to set in equations with diffrent P value and find the solution in Mathcad?My work is seen below. But it's not going to work.The think is probably that i don't know how to use the result from two first equation and moved it to the next two to get the final result of it. Of course still don't know why for Mathcad the value of mi and m is as undefined...

We use Creo Parametric with Windchill PDMLink. Creo is set to "start in" a folder named "Config". This is where my config.pro, appearance files, lighting files, etc. are kept. I like to keep that folder free of clutter.   Is there a way to automatically have my Working Directory set to another location when I start the program? If I leave it set to Config & start working in a linked session with WC, all sorts of log files, BOM files, etc. get written to my Config folder. To avoid this I've made a practice of changing my Working Directory whenever I start Creo. Hi I am new user to PTC and my company. We changed PTC licening service computer name. After renaming that computer we cannot use PTC software installed on othercomputers. The license model we have is FLOATING. Is there any way to reconfigure this license to new computer name and so that we can use it as before.

My measure tool will not infer axis of my parts.  I don't know if this is a setting issue, user issue or a lack of functionality of the program.  With assemblies of more than 150 parts others have worked on in conversions from one CAD system to another.  I don't want to have to edit every part I have to add an axis datum in order to measure or constrain.  Creo is great at finding surfaces of diameters and radii on parts but I don't want that information for either measuring or constraining.   How do I get this program to infer axis?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Is it possible to see all objects that are inside all workspaces?

Is there a way of selecting text on an illustration and finding the centre of the text in a macro?I can only find what seems to be the lower left load point (.text.startpoint), but I want to mirror text about it's centre.

Hello everyone, I have modeled a solid block and extruded several holes (think swiss cheese) and now I'd like to reverse the fill volumes and make the negative volumes (the holes) filled and the positive volume (the block) negative space or unfilled. Is there a way to do this? I'm using Creo Parametric 2.0. Thank you!
