I am trying to make changes to matrices with a VBScript Scripted Object. I can get the matrix with worksheet.getValue("Matrix"), but changes I make to that with Matrix.SetElement do not persist outside the script. It seems like the matrix returned by worksheet.getValue is a new object rather than a reference to the one in the worksheet, is that correct? If so is there any way to modify the original matrix from within the VBScript?Thanks,Evan

Currently, we are storing cost in our system in a real number with units attribute. (this attribute type is needed to interact with Windchill Product Analytics)When the cost is displayed to the user, value is rounded to the nearest cent and displayed in the following format $X.XXFor example, if we have a cost of $0.004, it would display at $0.00if we have a cost of $0.005, it would display at $0.01Does anyone know of a way to bypass/disable/fix this 'feature'?Business Case- almost all of our electrical components are less than $0.01, and rounding these components prevents our users from being able to tell if a component is expensive or inexpensive.

I have several legacy protocols that use the same set of test steps. What is the best way in Integrity to leverage a common set of test steps across several test protocols without having to individually include each test step within a test case?

As the title states. I am able to create .prt files with ease and usually the next step after the final save would be to open a new manufacturing window. The recurring problem is that a new window will open then immediately close or not open at all. All computers this problem arises on are running Windows 10. I recently updated to Creo 3.0 and am working through some bugs and/or changes. My latest issue is than my chamfer dimensions don't always show the way they should.In the attached image, the 1x45° shows the way I want but the 0.2x45° shows up horizontally instead of normal to the chamfer. I have another problem in our office Pisa.We have 6 computers running in the office and they are connnected to linux server. this Linux server configured as a domain controller.A windows client is configured as a PTC license server.When I try to open PTC Creo, I received   License request fail for feature   Requesting PROE_FoundationAdv_   7788@pc-gianfranco: (-96) License server machine is down or not responding.I checked the pc-gianfranco the PTC license server.It is running in the service.But i cannot find why this happend to the all clients.thanks,Nirosh.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hi,I am trying to get a solution in mathcad in which we provide a specific value (say 0) initially followed by set of equations and finally giving result.But if the result obtained is <> zero, program will automatically change the initial value until we get the final result (by trial and error) as or nearly zero.this is one example.Please help me solve this using Mathcad.Thanks.

I have a mass-spring system.  I am trying to back-solve four springs (provided in the attached file).There are four masses at which summation of forces are performed and A matrices are obtained.  The attached file shows them in the (Lamda*I - A) format. These springs and masses are configured in four different ways and their first mode natural frequencies are known. Therefore, in my mind, I should be able to use Given/Find in order to find the unknown springs with four equations while setting the determinants of the four matrices to zero. The solver doesn't converge.What is the problem here?  Can this be done?  If not, how else?Your help will be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Eric

Hello folks,this is about a basic issue hence no example sheet.For a lengthy calculation I'd like to read in parameters from excel. As this excel sheet is lenghty as well I want to check first whether the parameters in the Excel sheet match the parameters in my MatchCad sheet (naming and order of parameters). I'm thinking along the lines of making a one-to-one comparison of variable names (not the variable values!) in order to verify a match.Does anybody has an idea how to conduct such a comparison?Thanks in advance for any ideaRaiko

I am embedding some VB in a Scripted Object within a MathCad worksheet. I am trying to get the Worksheet object so I can get/manipulate some values in the sheet, but when I call ActiveWorksheet (or Worksheets for that matter) on the Application object, nothing is returned.I am inexperienced with VB so forgive anything weird I am doing, but feel free to point it out. I am trying to create a report of WTDocuments with files attached as the primary content.  I don't seem to be finding the field.  With EPMDocuments there is a field called filename.  Has anyone been able to generate a report of WTDocuments and the primary contents file?Thanks

We are looking at using the "Link" object type in PDMLink.  The problem is you cannot search for it.  That is not in the list of objects to search against.I checked the Site preference All Applicable Object Types List and it's not even listed there.What good is the Link type if you can't search for it?  Can it be added to the searchableTypes.properites file?  And if so what needs to be added?

This question has probably already been placed.  I have been working on a new set of formats for the company that I work for.  I am adding tables but I am unable to change the borders of the tables.  Any ideas on how I can turn this tool on?

Hi I am new to Modelling Express this seams an obvious question but how do I drill a hole in an existing model. I have an STL from a manufaturer for a simple ABS plastic box consisting of 6 parts the base, the lid and the 4 screws. My question is how do I drill a hole in the base I have created a workplane and drawn a circle but I cannot seem to create a hole in the one side of the box. If I use punch it goes through both sides of the base. When I look online there is only reference to the drill command which is not present in modelling express. Trying to execute sqlplus in a Windchill Shell so I can create a custom sequence using the string bellow.exec wtpk.createSequence('seq_name',start_num,inc_value).Getting error: sqlplus  is not reconized as an internal or external command.RegardsPatrick

We have a temporary user who is no longer with the company.  The user is in Windchill twice.  Once as a user who is 'deleted' and the other record is still active.  When we use Windchill's participant administration the KRoholt user does not appear in the list.When we attempt to do an advanced search in WC 10.1 and chose 'created by' in advanced search, only the kroholt (deleted) account appears in the list to select.  This is preventing us from search for CAD objects that were created by KRholot.Other info about our setup:We have LDAP setupAny suggestions of what might be wrong or things for me to check are appreciated.

Our word documents have a lot of tables that auto-update based on the information in the document.Is this functionality retained when the document is imported into Integrity?Ie. if the numbers the table references are changed, the table should auto update.I don't think it's currently worked in the manner I have imported the document, but is there any way to set this up?Also, while linking to an Integrity item, you have the option of choosing to "Display Text" and manually entering what you want it to look like.Unless you manually type the name of the item, it shows the item type and the item ID (ie. System Requirement Document 12345).Is there any way to change this to automatically show the title of the document or the text of the requirement?Thanks!

Creo 3, M040I'm curious how folks are creating a drawer assy with the same drawer glide on each side.  I've created the glide with the proper mechanism constraints, assembled two glides into another assy and assembled the drawer to the inner part of the one drawer glide.  The drawer opens and closes, but the other glide does not move.  It's generally a cosmetic issue more than anything, but I'd like the drawer to operate properly.Is there a simple way to tie the two drawer glides together?  I tried assembling one glide , then the drawer body and then the second glide, tying the outer to the ground body and the inner to the drawer body.  That just locked everything up so it wouldn't move.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Creo 2.0I have a large solid of an assembly.  Certain areas need to be colored for identification.  I cannot get to all the surfaces because by turning the model other parts of the solid block my view.  Is there a way to get in close enough that other parts won't interfere with what I am seeing.  These are not separate parts so I cannot open them into a new window by themselves.  In my native program Catia I can switch between perspective and parallel.  Parallel is what the general viewer in Creo acts like.  Perspective allows one to get in close without interference from other parts.  Kind of like a flythrough function.  Is there a function inCreo that allows for this?  Will it work in the render tool?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. When you created a flat pattern in Wildfire 4 there was automatically created a family table and the flat pattern was suppressed.In Creo 3 I don't see anything like this and we have to create the family table manually.
