I am quite new at creo and I am having problems when opening stl files on creo 3.0 the title of each part is visible. This makes it extremely hard to create models when I can't see the parts. If someone could give me some advice on that it would be great. Thank you so much.

I am modeling an old sailing ship.In the main assembly I have created an evaluate feature named STAYVALUES containing the length of a number of stays that are included in the rigging of the ship e.g. length01, length02 etc.The stay sub-assemblies are similar but for the length between the various fixing points of the stays.At first I tried to define a relation in each subassembly:e.g. Dxx:yy=length01:FID_STAYVALUES:1 but it would not work.I then redefined the relation by adding a parameter:staylength01=length01:FID_STAYVALUES:1Dxx:yy=staylength01and now it worked!Why, I don't understand.To simplify my work ( there are a lot of stays involved) I would like to use a family table to give each stay it's proper length, picked from the evaluate feature STAYVALUES.But how?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Having just installed the Implementer plugin to RDi 9.1, ALL the "user filters" ever created by a user show up as "lock filters" in the plugin.  In some cases there are scores of them.  Most of them show "empty list" when expanded because the objects were long ago promoted to production.As Implementer administrator, I would like to delete these obsolete "user filters" from within Implementer so the users don't have to clean them up themselves in RDi or Implementer.  However, when I try from WRKFLT.1 (from "Users" menu option #41, then '17' "User Filters" then F9 "All Users", then '4' "Delete", then 'Y' "Reply"), I get no message but the user filter remains.  It appears that I cannot delete another user's filters.Can anyone tell me how to do this?  Or from which database tables need records need to be deleted?

Dear friends,I have problem trying to return a range from vlookup.  I have a table input which defines the steel gage number against the metric thickness.  The metric thickness is in column 0 and the gages in subsequent columns.  This variable is named "gages"My calculation sheet is looking at the resistance of steel walls on a silo, and can have up to 35 different thickness in the one silo.  So I have a 1 x 35 input table in which the steel thickness is entered "Sidewall".  This is a unitless variable, which relates to the metric thickness of the steel.All I want to do, using the vlookup function is to return the actual steel gage numbers for each of the Sidewall thicknesses.  Here is what I have entered:wga[rn:vlookup(Sidewall[rn,gages,1)   rn is the range variable 1..35What I was hoping was to get an output wga[rn, which gives me a 1 x 35 matrix of the steel gage numbers.  Instead, what I get is 35 row matrix of nested 1 x 1 matrices.&nbs

Guten Abend,   Ich habe kürzlich meinen PC auf Windows 10 aktualisiert und aus diesem Grund kann ich in Creo Parametric 2.0 bei einem Modell nicht mehr mit dem Mausrad hinein u./od. hinaus Zoomen. Hi all, good day.   I am creating 2D sketches/layout in the Part (.prt) environment. This allow me to stack different component sketches in just a lightweight file, and all I need is to visualize the interference among these stacked-up sketches.   All went well so far, the only problem is that I need to manipulate/edit each sketch with extra caution, due to the large quantities of dimensions and relations showing in edit mode. Anyone know a Pro/engineer function that can group a 2D sketch under a block and locking all dimensions (and perhaps relations as well)?   This would be similar to the AutoCAD block feature, where we can move the block freely to anywhere, and explode the block when need to edit a particular set of dimensions.   This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. We have an old version of ME10 8.0 and some legacy drawings which we have not converted to dxf/dwg   Recently, i accidentally uninstall the LM on the license server (Win2K server)   Anyone has any ideas how do i download and reinstall the LM?   My user is fuming mad and i'm getting abit stressed. I'd like to get  purely real solution out of the symbolic solver (ie not a product of i) - is it possible to require this? For example solving  x^2 +y^2 = 1 for x should return sqrt(1-y^2).Am I just failing to use assume keyword correctly?ThanksJoe

My company has recently switched from Solid Works to Creo 2.  In SW you can crete a 3D sketch by simply drawing lines and arcs and then constraining them to lock location.  We then use a Sweep feature to create cores through a casting.  The only way I know to do this in Creo is to create a series of points and connect the dots.  This seems like a LOT of trial and error on location.  Is there another way to create 3D sketches on the fly?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hello all,I am new to PTC Community i just started to configuration of Arbortext Editor with small tasks.The menu_delete function is perfectly working for me on some cases but there is one more thing that i should disable also in Arbortext 6.1 Editor dialog.How should i delete the 'X' menu item on ArborText editor, what is the menu item name of this item ?Could you please tell me ? I couldn't find it on the reference somehow, maybe not get in deep...Any help would be appreciated, many thanks in advance!

In my mathCAD sheet, I've solved this four bar linkeage for any user input of crank position, but what I'd like to do now is develop equations to describe the motion of the links (and particularly a point in question) through out the entire 360 degree range of my crank arm.  This sheet uses scalar position equations and Given / Find solve blocks to solve for link arm angle, angular velocity, and angular acceleration based on the user input of crank angle, which in my sheet is θ2. I would like to make θ2 a range variable, or a matrix of values from 0 - 360 degrees so I can output and then plot the motion of the point I'm looking for, but I'm stuck.  The Given / Find block fails, and then obviously the rest of the sheet fails.  If I'm approaching this incorrectly from a programming stand point, please let me know.

Hi there:I'm new to this forum.I'm looking for a simple way to plot our drawings from CREO.With previous versions of PRO-E we used macro's to run plot configs with custom page sizes and plotter offsets.If I currently just select print, then choose the plotter, It auto selects the correct ANSI size as from the drawing, however the printable area is much smaller.Any help would be useful.Thanks.Christopher.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. A user reported an issue when trying to insert a graphic using a FIG tag. The exact scenario is shown here. The user has inserted a graphic using FIG and TITLE. Our Fig element logic looks for: if fig in procinfo, else if fig in li, else fig everywhere else.I also included what I believe is the result of that logic, the specific XPATH language in use for this situation, "Fig Everywhere Else". The error does not seem to actually affect anything since the user can still create the topic, use in publication structures, etc, but we are worried that it may be a bigger issue down the road. I am relatively new to Styler, and I am not sure what to even check for to start debugging this issue. I don't think windows 10 is officially supported yet by creo and I'm aware of that so before anyone goes on a rant about using an unsupported OS....At first I could not get Creo 2.0 to run at all on my windows laptop, the application just opened with a black screen.Then I tried changing the default graphics processor from my nvidia card to the integrated intel graphics.This allowed the application to run just fine, however I don't have any of the graphics acceleration benefits.So is there a special driver or anything I can do to get Creo to run with the actual graphics card? Do I just need to wait for an updated driver?If it matters my computer has an intel 5700HQ cpu and an Nvidia 970 gpu.
