I need to run a search for specific WTPartDescribeLinks from a checked out part. The following line isn't working for me. I get an error stating the iteration must not be null. I believe the method has been deprecated. //QueryResult qrLink = StructHelper.service.navigateDescribes(checkedOutPart, WTPartDescribeLink.class, false);I have also triedQueryResult qrLink = PersistenceHelper.manager.navigate(checkedOutPart,   WTPartDescribeLink.ROLE_AOBJECT_REF, WTPartDescribeLink.class, false);But I am getting a Null Pointer Exception Is there another way of running a search for these describe links or am I doing something wrong?Any thoughts would be very much appreciated. Hi Folks,   I am using PTC Creo Elements / Direct Modeling Express.   I think this is a simple question which someone will probably know right away.  But I can't figure out the answer.  I want to move several item all together.  One group of items is an assembly which contains other assemblies of structures.  I also want to move - in the same direction and for the same distance - another structure (which is not in any of those assemblies).  I could just select all the items in the viewport while holding down the shift key.  That works.  But there are quite a few items to select and I would like to know how to do this more efficiently.  I would think I should be able to select the items in the structure browser.  But what I find is that if I hold down the shift key while selecting items in the structure browser the system won't let me select anything at all.  If I don't hold down the shift key it will let me select ONE item (or

How can I change the behavior of the middle mouse button? I am new to Creo and Would like to make it so that I pan with the middle mouse button pressed and orbit with SHIFT+MMB. Basically the reverse of what it is currently set (I'm assuming as default) Also, is there a way to switch how the wheel zooms in and out? Again, reversing the control scheme. This latter problem isn't a big deal, but the Pan/Orbiting is what I really want to know if it can be changed.

Hello.If I use Bill of materials report in assembly, it creates BOM for every subassembly.Some subassemblies contain the same parts. I need to create total BOM report and not for every subasm. Is it possible in Mathcad to write a function that provides the nearest multiple of a value without going over a particular ceiling? For example, I have a maximum allowable bolt Ø of 0.33in. Bolts come in 0.125in (1/8in) Ø increments. I'd like Mathcad to provide me with a 0.25in Ø bolt size (as 0.375in exceeds 0.33in). I tried Ceil(0.33in,0.125in) but the result is 0.375in.

All,I'm having some trouble with Mechanism functioning properly and I'm hoping you can help solve my problems. Refer to the images below.I have a subassembly (called top_cover_2.asm) which includes the following items...plate, bearing assembly, and motor assembly (which has 2 adaptors and a servo motor assembly). The bearing assembly and the servo motor assembly have been defined as pin joints to allow rotational motion. The top_cover_2 assembly gets attached to a frame part (3245298-002.prt). Once attached, I need to attach a clevis bracket which completes the connection from the bottom half of the motor back to the frame.The problem originates when I try to attach this clevis bracket, it locks all rotational motion even though the top half of the servo motor should be able to rotate with the upper coupler, turntable, and outer bearing race. HiI keep encountering a problem with CGM exports from Isodraw.I need to keep the positive cross hatchings when exporting to CGM, but sometimes it shows up black (See bottom picture)Figure 1: View in Isodraw. I just converted over to Prime 3.0. Before I used to use Mathcad v8.  The option that i used the mose was to craete an equation & then have Mathcad symbolically solve for the variable. Hi all!can anybody help me on query in detailing?I was previously working with Pro/E wildfire 5.0. in widfire 5.0 after creating a table containing part_no parameter associated to the assembly member name.default balloons created are coming with serial no. i.e 1,2,3,4,...... like wise.but my problem is, I want balloons containing part_no which i have given to that parts. Previous wildfire 5.0 was able to do that by altering the parameter of balloon. option was given in menu manger it selfbut now in Creo 2.0 there is no such menumanger option in balloon creation from table. so how can i overcome with the problem? As title, I typed a command like "javac xyz.java" in winchill shell, it showed no error, the technical staff in retailer told me I should typed "windchill stop && windchill start" after that,then the compiling took effect. It really worked, but I could not do this in Office Hour, so please supplied me other ways to take effect immediately.

Hopefully this is in the right spot. First off I am fairly new to MathCad.I am having a problem with getting the calculated values from a complex polynomial equation to fit my data. I am working with an aggregating protein system. I know the total concentration of protein subunits and the ratio of monomer to total at a variety of concentrations. This ratio has to be between 0 and 1. I am trying to fit an equilibrium equation to this data. I have solved the polynomial equation to equal 0 and have put in guesses for the variables and input a matrix of experimental total concentrations.I would like it to give me all of the values of alpha between 0 and 1 at each total concentration because that is the physiologically relevant root. I also need to check the variance from the experimental values. I do not understand how to get the program to calculate these things.I have attached the MathCad document here.Thank you for any help,Seth

The Pattern feature kinda pisses me off.I am working with an assembly of several pieces and subassemblies. I would like basically to pattern this assembly in a unidirectionnal direction 5 times, which I know how to do.Problem: for an unexplicable reason, the icon keeps being grey (I cannot select it).I have tried to change the group hierarchy in Model Tree, to ungroup everything, it does not work.Even selecting two different pieces makes the Pattern grey.It would annoy me to do a pattern for EACH single different piece of my assembly.I have looked to a lot of different posts, but no one seems to resolve my problem. Hello, how do i display zeros after the decimal place on dimension a view in a drawing? I have a dimension of 1 mm, but i want to display it as 1.0 to make it look better and to reflect the accuracy.Its not significant figures as this is set as 3 for my drawing.I have looked in File-Prepare-Drawing Properties-Detail Options.Then I tried changing the:lead_trail_zeros andlead_trails _zeros_scope.But nothing seems to make any difference. Can anyone help? Am I looking in correct area, and if so what do I need to set these two to display all the zeros as specified for my decimal places. Hello, When I want to review the stress results of an analysis, the stress units are default on "kPa". Is it possible to change the default to "MPa" instead of having to select it each time from the drop-down list? I can't find any option in the configuration editor to do so.The same issue occurs when defining a force. The default unit is "mm kg / sec^2". Hi, I am somewhat of a novice with Creo so I apologize for any deficiencies. I am using creo 2.0 and essentially what I want is an outer layer of my current model. So I have a complex model and would like the same shape but extending from the outer surface to, let's say, 1 inch beyond that. If there is not a method of doing this directly, I could make a scaled up version of my model and then "subtract" my model from that. But I don't know how to cut a part from another part. Is there a method of getting this outer skin that I am looking for? Thanks.
