Hello I am having issues of parts not visible when opening up a assembly in 3.0 . There is a few of my parts not visible in the graphics area however they are in the model tree . There a no simplified reps of this assembly . I can activate the missing part, edit a feature and the part shows up.  I can save the assembly but when I re open it  its missing again. So Google must have pushed out another update that has broken it working with Windchill. When we try to view something in Creo View it gives us the Install Creo View Client or Stop Checking for new versions in the Creo View window. It worked yesterday. It works in IE. Nothing has changed server wise as far as which build I am using. The Chrome version is Version 42.0.2311.90 m. We are on Windchill 10.2 m020 CPS08 and Creo View 3.0 m020. Has anyone else had this happen today? Anyone with a solution?

Ok, a question i have with the name column, and the description column in windchill as well as the model tree.   we start a new part, and the description in the model tree, doesnt fill out.  even though we named the part in windchill.  where does description fill in from in the model tree?   How can i modify description in windchill?  can i set a parameter in the part, so it automatically fills in the description, in windchill, as well as the model tree.   thanks againThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I am trying to open a custom weld symbol and I am receiving the following error:   File G:\Engineering\PROE_DATA\A_A_Proengineer\fillet_2line.sym was created in a newer release of Creo Elements/Pro.   Error reading symbol file. Symbol not retrieved.I have Creo2 and Creo3 on my computer, but isolated.As you can see, the symbol hasn't changed since 1/7/2013 and I used it up till a month ago. Our VAR is telling us that PTC is discontinuing the Winback program at the end of the month.  After 9/30, to reinstate inactive seats all back maintenance will have to be paid, not just the 12 months back as it is now.  The alternatives are a monthly subscription plan or purchasing new seats.Has anyone else been told the same thing?

Can someone provide an example of using GetNamedProperties and GetNamedPropertyValues from Javascript? The first call takes a JSON object, and the second takes an INFOTABLE, but I haven't been able to find any documentation on what that JSON object or INFOTABLE should look like ...Thanks !

When I add a new masterdata to modelmanager most of the attributes are blank. I'd like to create a saved search in model manager for parts where I'm the owner but a specific attribute is blank ? A user uploaded a large set of files...part, assemblies, and drawings. They did not check in.Over a months time, the objects were removed from the workspace AND their cache was deleted and rebuilt.What happens to the objects uploaded to the server side workspace? Uploading is said to be a form of backup...a safeguard. So, how do we get the objects back?

We are negotiating getting back on maintenance with our VAR.  We had intended to wait until the end of the year, but with the discontinuation of the Winback program, it looks like we need to move now.Our VAR has presented moving to one of the "PTC Creo Essentials" packages, specifically Essentials Team.  These are configured differently from the old packages, in fact, many of the old extensions aren't mentioned but are implied.  Fore example, there is no "advanced assembly", but the "top Down Design Tools" in Essentials Team sounds like it might be the same.  There is no ISDX, but there is something in the base Essentials package called "Parametric & Freestyle surfacing".  It seems odd that they'd include ISDX in the base package, however.  So I decided to dig around for more info on these and I can't find anything on them at PTC.com. Hi everybody,is there a recycle-function in Windchill (like the Windows recycle-bin).E.g. a designer deletes accidentially a assembly. I've been developing a .NET SDK test case for a while and everything went smoothly a couple weeks back.Now I tried adding setAvatar service call to set some randomly generated bitmap as avatar for the thing and it isn't connecting anymore.I tried taking every new additions out from the code and still it ain't connecting. I can't see anything connecting from Thingworx side logs (no access to the server logs, though).I've checked that all my properties (FieldDefinitions) in the datashape are correct and so forth. After start() method it !isShutdown() and !isConnected().I'm pretty new to C# overall, tried to run analysis, add debug messages etc to the code but got no clue where's this going wrong.Any idea where/how I could try to find the error?This is the first test case I've tried with so I have no other code to test if the connection overall is working.Haven't tested the original test code for at least a week so there might've happened something weird with connections too.At least basi

Why am I getting the "This function cannot be used here." error. My constants have no units.

In the attached prime worksheet I am graphing the shear and moment in a beam. Is there a simple (maybe 1 or 2 lines) for determining the minimum or maximum values on either graph? The three lines I have for determining the maximum is convoluted and inaccurate (the maximum is 8kip*ft, not 5.9 kip*ft).

Hi there!  I'm messing around with the start of a Mathcad Prime 3.0 model of a hydraulic valve and have built a set equations that partially define it.  I stopped because there are several things happening that confuse me.  Please take a look and see if you can explain the issues and help me work around them.1. In my odesolve statement you'll see the one variable name turned green.  I can change the variable's name and it still happens.  Why???  And what does it indicate?2. The A(t) formulas can't generated a negative value.  The pi/2 vertical shift to atan forces its low limit to 0.  Yet you'll see on the graph that this value dips negative3. The initial values for the Q's don't show up correctly at x=0, but they calculate correctly further out in the x-axis4. The A(t) plots (red and black) should be 180 degrees out of phase with each other.  One's min should coincide with the other's max, but there's a shift.  Think of it this way...

Our normal way of indicating that a surface finish applies to a region, is to draw a sketch indicating the region, and then attach the surface finish symbol to it, and not to the part geometry. This worked just fine in ProE, but I've just started using Creo 3, and the finish symbol won't attach to the sketch! Which means I can make the drawing look good, but as soon as a view moves, the symbol will be in the wrong place.
