Hello all, I am just new to the windchill and my question is regarding to the windchill installation and its licensing. Do i need to install FlexNet License Server, before installing windchill and upload the license? because there are multiple clients in the system and I need to configure license as floating license. So, if I need to install FlexNet license Server, where can I get it ? because I couldn't find it in the windchill package .thanks so much.

Hi, I would like to know how I can create a header in Arbortext document without using a style sheet.My problem is that I need to create multiple documents with different text on each header. Hello,In the attached program, a series of frequencies is measured using Fourier Transformation. The slope of the measured frequencies vs the actual frequencies shows a linear relation but the slope is not exactly "1". Could you please help me to understand why the slope is not exactly "1" ? Is the any analytic relation between the uncertainty and sampling specifications?Thank you very much in advance.Payman

I attached file with solution for beam on elastic foundation using Bleich method. I am struggling with the graph of shear forces. When i use dimensionless variable xi for graph plotting everything is just fine but once i convert the dimensionless variable to one in meters ( dividing dimensionless variable by certain coefficient alfa, relation defined at the beginnig of the worksheet) i am getting discontinuity of the graph and have no idea why. Also trying to find place using find function where Q(xi) equals zero( should be between two peaks) i result in failure. If anyone could provide any helpful advice/answer i would really appreciate it.

I'm creating a plan to upgrade our MKS Integrity 2009 SP7 (AIX) test server to PTC Integrity 10.6 (AIX). In the is.properties file there is a setting mksis.hostname=mks-test.Server URL is http://mks-test:7001. The actual name of the server is something different. I changed the hostname setting in the is.properties file to ptc-test. I stopped ans started the server using mksis stop and mksis start and I saw errors in the server.log:2015-04-14 07:33:20,103 DEBUG [mksis.IntegrityServer] DEBUG(0): mks.frame.client.ConnectionException -- mks.frame.client.ConnectionException: MKS124871: Could not establish server connection (it may be down). Details: Error resolving hostnames; nested exception is: java.net.UnknownHostException: ptc-testWhat did I miss?

Creo2 M120 When creating a sketch, Creo will sometimes automatically select a reference plane.  Many times that isn't the plane I want to use, so I always go back and check it. Is there a config option to force Creo to prompt me for a reference plane?  I searched the config editor and came up empty.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hello,I have little trouble with print table from excel to pdf. I copy table from ecxel and paste as special as excel sheet to Matched 15 and than I can not print table as in view. It prints me just black square. Example is in attachment. I use adobe printer.Thank you.

Hello all,I work on modeling / simulation of some thermal energy system in Mathcad 15. The existing model works on the equation oriented approach, at the end all the mass and energy balance equations are gathered in the given-find block. Now I want to "modularize" the program - the components of the system are to be black-boxes, which have inputs and outputs (more precisely input and output streams, which are vectors of parameters). I was thinking about defining modules as functions, but the problem is I can not use boolean equal sign inside a function, that I need, since the whole system of equations / functions can only be solved numerically, in case of Mathcad in Given-Find block. Hello all, l have some basic problem with Windchill desktop integration. My directory settings is default set to "view_recent_n_fav_contexts" everytime l open COMPUTER ---> PTCPLACES ---> WINDCHILL ---> PRODUCTS. Is there any chance set it to "view_all_contexts"? In generall: Is there any way how to config windchill desktop integration?

This beam worksheet is attached in Mathcad 15 and Prime 3.1 format. The end user enters the number of point loads, p, and the number of distributed loads, z. Is it possible for Mathcad to take this value entered and create/trim the number of entries for point loads (P1, y1) and distributed loads (ws1, we1, zs1, ze1) following them? This way the end user doesn’t have to trim off or add additional entries on their own.
