Hi folks,   I'm stuck trying to change the style of measures for drawings. I'd like to get the Style like iso postulates (Number above line and parallel to it, filled arrows, and so on) Can anybody tell me in which config file i can do this and what to change?   What i tried already is the prodetail.dtl file, where i can change some parameters that sound like what i need, but nothing happens.   I'm using Creo 2.   Thanks already for your hints! Hello everyone!I've been trying to create a repeat region BOM that will load characteristics from multiple simplified representations of the same model. The part circled in red can only be seen if I highlight the cell (displayed behind rpt.qty) or if I change the text style. Can anyone help with this error in the attached file? Does Mathcad 3.1 allow plotting vectors or matrices?@

I was trying to do a surface milling sequence over the weekend and I ran in to an issue using cut-lines. I picked the surfaces and then did cut lines using closed loops. I have done this several times before and never had an issue. I got an error that said Cut-lines Cross. I tryed using the model and also making a surface and got the same issue. I finally just did seperate surfaces and it worked it just took a while to do each surface. It was a small radius around an o-ring groove. The radius is .005 and I was using a .063 tool. Amyone ran into this and if so what am I missing?Thanks Bernie

In Creo Parametric 2.0 the assembly was created. Hello,Is there an easy way to gather a mill volume on a part shown below. I have programmed it now with a mill window and use a rough sequence as shown in the second picture. I can't get the gather mill volume to work. I ask myself often the question which option for milling these sort of pockets is the best way to program. Use a rough or a volume rough. Hi, guys.I have the following tree hierarchy:-folder1: - folder2/ - ... some content ... - project.pj - project.pjLet's assume that I drop folder2. If I create again the subproject folder2 it will come back with all its content (from what I read in the documentation, PTC is restoring its last archive of the folder2 subproject). How can I avoid this behavior? I don't want PTC to look on the server to see if existed an old version of this folder2.If this isn't possible, is there a way to find out if folder2 existed before adding it again? All this operations are made from CLI. I think si archiveinfo should solve my problem, but I cannot managed to make it work... Thanks in advance. 😘

Alright I have what is possibly a stupid question but... How do you update/install a license server with Creo installer now?With Wildfire5 there was a "Install License Server" option to click. With Creo I can't figure it out.I had to get an updated license file, but now I can't figure out how to update it on the server. Any help is appreicated.

I have a die model that I wish to plot out as a drawing.I can get the plotter to pick up the plot request but I don't see how it is possible to print out the model at full size which I need.I have tried the actual size option which results in a smaller size.I have tried the 100% size, which results in a very small size.I don't see any other option that would actually give you the correct size. Hi,I'm using Mathcad 15 (M005 [MC15_M005_20101105]) which has problems reading files (m x n matrix seperated by tab) on computers newer than approx. 18 months. Every way to read files doesn't work (in this case readprn, but other functions show the same behavior). The very same xmcd file on older machines equipped with the same software works very well. I wasn't able to find a solution or workaround to this problem at google or this forum, not even the problem itself. Is anybody aware of this problem and is there a fix / workaround?Thanks,Ronny

Hello!I try once more. This time with attached mathcadfile. I have a problem in Mathcad Prime 3.1.When I solve an equation and want to use the solution, I can't manage to get the answer to be numerical.This prevents me to define a variable that can be used in further expressions.How can I solve the equation V ( x ) = 0 and get the answer to a variable I can use further to put into an another function?As of my understading the problem is that the function doesn't understand the unit of x and it doesn't think the units are right in the final expression. If I want to insert another instance of a part (or subassembly) into my assembly, is the only way to do this by using the Assemble button and the "open" dialog box? Is there not an easier/quicker way to insert another instance of a part, such as "copy" or "insert another instance of" or "insert again" etc. via a right-click menu?For example, another popular CAD program will let you ctrl+drag a part (or subassembly) from the assembly tree into the assembly. Good Day Everyone,Years ago I ran into a Pro/E config or dtl option (while working at another employer) that controls if the drawing displays changes to the model or assembly since it was last saved.When you save a drawing while this option turned on the drawing freezes the current state of the views. Now you make a change to the assembly or part and then open the saved drawing. The drawing now shows the before modified state of the models when it is opened(drawing does not represent the current state of the models in session).To get the drawing to show the current state of the models you have to click on Update Sheets for every drawing and every sheet.I want to find this option so I can turn it off.Can anyone point me to the config option or setting that controls this?ThanksDon AndersonThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. In an assembly I do have Feat#1, 2,3, 4, 5.......60 total 60 features.   Feat#1,2,3,,up to 10- Are Main assembly Sub Parts (.prt) Feat#11- Sketch Feat#12,13, 14,....50- Are again Main assembly parts (.prt) Feat#51,52...60- Are Sub assemblies of Main assemblies (.asm) [In one many of the sub assemblies I do required Feat#11 sketch]   Now in Assembly-View Manager-Simp Rep, I am setting my required representation (suppose -Represen1)   My requirement in Represen1 is (Right Click -Redefine) I want to exclude all features from 11 to 60. Means Feat#11 to Feat#60 I want exclude.   Now I am able to exclude features from 12 to 60, but I am not able to exclude Feat#11- Sketch.   And in my assembly drawing, I want to show my Represen1 without that sketch. (Feat#11- Sketch.). For that I have hide the sketch in assembly, but still in assembly drawing the envelop box of Represen1 is larger because it is considering Feat#11 & my annotation notes are always very much awa

Every time I open Creo Prismatic and want to use the Multisurface Milling Extension I have to go into the options menu, refresh the licenses, and select the correct license. Hello All, I have just wanted to install Windchill PDM Essentials on a server. My question is that if during the installation I choose "Don't install" for Creo Publisher License Server and don't install the publisher now , am I able to add Publishing License in future ? I mean is there still a chance to add this feature in future or I have to install it just right now ?thanks so much.

To All,   I have users who have their own ribbon customization and selection options, etc.   I need to know the correct location for this file to be to be read into session every time.   I have the "load_customization" config option set to yes, but when they put their custom file there it does not stick.   The main config.pro and config.sup files are copied on start-up into the Creo load point and work fine.   Can someone please shed some light on this for me? Hi everyone,   Beginner with PTC (or any other CAD-software), so bear with me. I am using PTC Creo Elements for a small private project. This is probably a dumb question but I failed to find a solution. I have designed a pipe with some holes and pins at either end. When I want to extend the length of the pipe, the new part is always added at the end of the pipe, while the holes/pins stay at place. However, I want them to be at the ends of the extended pipe, because this is where I want to join another pipe. Is there a way to extend the pipe "in the middle"? I tried adding a new workplane in the middle of the pipe inserting a new part but that didn't work. Do I have to create a pipe with the "proper" length in the first place? I actually want to try out some different lengths.   I have tried to find a solution using the search function without success. Probably the answer is too simple to raise a question in this forum.   Any idea is truly appreciated pbachertThis thread

I have a development system and a production system both created from the same set of data at 9.1 and updated individually to 10.0m040.We are now implementing Change Management routines. These were setup by the original sys admin who left no notes on what we did during the Windchill setup.On the development side, when I initiate a Change Request, the number is set to Auto-Generated.On the production server, it is a required manual entry. We want it to be auto-generated.I have checked the OIR and configured them both the same.I have checked the Attribute Manager for Change Request number and they both have the same settings.Where is the auto-generate for the number configured at?

I would like to have a single drawing with both the flat and formed part on it. The first thing I tried was creating a simplified rep with the flat suppressed. When I go into the drawing, View States, simplified rep is greyed out and I can't select my rep with the flat suppressed.
