Currently, we are running a three stage environment of Dev, QA and Production and using promotion to move changes through the life cycle. Our currentl issue is per our methodology QA actually has an addition stage, User Acceptance Testing (UAT). To get the best productivity, we would like to start UAT as soon as QA does some standard sanity testing at which point we would like QA to continue their formal testing while the Users do theit UAT. So as to prevent the two groups tripping on each other we want them to use the same code base in separate environments adding an additionla UAT server to the current 3 stage model, so promotion would be DEV-->QA-->UAT-->Production.   Does anyone have a similar requirement and have they implemented this or another solution with success?   Thanks in Advance

Solidworks has a "Library Feature". Is there an equivalent in Creo Parametric 3?   Like this... I have a spline in sketch mode where I need to add points. For the life of me I can't figure out how to add a few points.I know I have done this in the past but with earlier versions. I'm on Creo 2 now.Should be simple. Maybe it's a Friday thing.Thanks for any help.

Hi,I´m new here so I'll try to put correct question and be precisely. I work with Creo 2.0 and I´m faced with one simple task in my company. I should mark some nuts, screw positions on sheet metal flat and flange walls, but I'm failing. Every time when I tried to make this, the sketch position remain in generic state, even when I create flate state. And I need this positions marks in flat state.I need those marks for .dxf file, so it must be only line, curve or point entities when I export dxf. I tried to get this with extrude features with success, but I need only sketch entities to preserve model shape correct. Hey All! My Creo Parametric 3.0 M030 is not responding after 2 seconds in the program..   I re-installed everything already, nothing worked .It got even worse. After the first Install of the program it was just lagging like hell every 5 seconds but it was working. Now after I installed it again it wont work at all. I am trying to configure ModelCheck to clean up my part layers.Most features work as planned IE. Datum Planes, Curves, Points etc..But Axis seems a little challenging.My Layer.mcs file has these layers defined./Test 1PRT_LAYER PRT_DTM_AXIS BLANK DATUM_AXISPRT_LAYER PRT_AXIS BLANK AXISRun MC and results are: manually created axis are layered off, feature based axis (protrusions,cuts, holes etc..) are not layered.Next step to test out the MC function, add these layer settings to my Layers.mcs file./Test 2PRT_LAYER PRT_HOLE BLANK HOLEPRT_LAYER PRT_PROTRUSION BLANK PROTRUSIONRun MC and results are: Holes and Protrusions layered off, the actual feature is still visible and the axis are off So my questions is why doesn't the first test run grab the axis of features?I do not want all the extra layers created, one layer called Prt_Axis that contain all axisRegardsJeff L.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I'm looking for a way to stop Windchill PDMLink from carrying forward the Creo View images from previous iterations. Currently, if a publish job fails the system will pull forward the image from the previous iteration. Hi,I have a MathCAD spreadsheet that I would like to use in Excel.What I want it to do, quite simply, is this:In Excel, I have about 10 inputs. I want to take these inputs, and put them into variables in MathCAD.The MathCAD sheet will then do its calculation and return 1 variable.I will take that 1 variable, and put it back into Excel.How do I get Excel to do this?Thanks

Can Project level parameters values be updated either through the java dll or command line inteface

Is there a way to show trailing zeros in the model? We use annotations to show dimensions on our parts we send to vendors, but not being able to show the trailing zeros is causing problems, 10.3 is a lot different than 10.30 when it comes to conveying our tolerances.LEAD_TRAIL_ZEROS_SCOPE only works on the drawing.Is there a way to show them?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I upgraded from Integrity 10.6 to Integrity 10.7. The issues I'm having is the "Integrity Server 10" service fails to remain in "Started" status. My logs show the following:FATAL [mksis.IntegrityServer] Service AppConfig not started due to errors: Service mks:name=IM not started due to errors: Unable to start IM service: Incorrect syntax near '.'.I had to roll back to Integrity 10.6.The steps I took for upgrade:1. Stop the Integrity Server 10 service via cmd line within the 10.6 bin folder "mksis stop"2. Remove the service "mksis remove"3. Installed Integrity server 10.7 using 'Upgrade of an existing server"4. Ran "isutil -c migrateserverconfig'5. I can't imagine I am the first one to run in to this issue, but I have not been able to find any answers on here yet. My company uses Creo elements/pro 5.0. The problem I am having is in trying to produce a BOM for an assembly that can be imported into Excel or some other format. I have found the feature that can do this, but there doesn't seem to be any way of directing it. Here is what I currently do to produce a complete BOM for an assembly:-->Info-->Bill of MaterialsSelect Top Level (default)Select OKPerform manual search of C:\ to find assembly.bom.1 in order to figure out what random location creo decided to write the file to this time. My question is, is there any way to specify a directory for the assembly.bom.1 file? I wish to create a mirrored sheet metal part which will be independent of the original part. Using 'File, Save As', the dialog appears as shown, but the system will not allow me to select 'Mirror geometry with features' and it will not allow me to clear the 'Geometry dependent' check box. Hi there,I'm poking around in MathCAD trying to get through a pelton wheel design. I was looking forward to writing equations and telling MathCAD to solve them, even simple single variable ones. It seems to work okay but it's quite clunky, and my most recent one simply wont solve.Could someone please look at this and suggest best practices and also perhaps a way to fix my last solve? Is there a 'sleeker' way to do solves? In some similar programs you can just throw a ----> and it automatically selects, solves, spits out, and defines the variable

I did a test to see if I can open a previous version of an assembly to see what versions of the parts in that assembly get pulled from Windchill. I created a new assy with 2 new parts and checked them in (all 3 at a -.1 (dash) state). I then revised the assembly so all both parts and the assembly went to an A.1 state. I checked out the 2 parts, made a small change to each and checked them back in as an A.2 state. So, the assy is at A.1 and both parts are at A.2.When I try to open the previous assembly at the -.1 state, it opens the -.1 state of the assembly but with the A.2 revision of the parts. Is there a way to link it where when I open the -.1 state of the assy, it also opens the -.1 state of the parts, not the A revision?? I am unable to go in an set the release state so everything is currently in the Design state. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. If I was able to lock the release state of the initial assy and parts as Released, would that solve the problem??
