I am quite new to creo parametric 2.0, and I am making a 5.56mm bullet case. However, to make the rim, I am making a circle for the extractor to hold onto. However, when I use the "Normal" dimension tool, I can't create a dimension to distance it from the surface I am creating the circle on, it just comes up with the dimensions of the circle itself, I don't want that. Our Windchill server address is http://xxx.xxxxxxx.com (no https) so each time we start Creo, we get the following message and have to click OK to continue. This isn't the end of the world but if possible, I would really like to eliminate the need to click OK.I've tried changing IE settings, added our server as a "trusted site", etc but no luck. Does anyone know how to fix it?

How do we get the Mathcad codes for FIRST use? Or just default to Mathcad Express>THXStu

As I sit here in my Creo training class, making a drawing, I create an auxiliary view, no problem. I'd REALLY like to crop that view... and I'm at a road block. I've typed 'creo crop view' in the forum search, and checked my book index. I just can't seem to find anything related to cropping a view in Creo. What am I missing?I have gone back to my model, looking for somethign to do there (like I need to do for a section View), but again... I'm stuck. A little help please... If I can't crop a view, please just give me the painful news quickly Thanks!

Hi all, I'm new here and I'm experimenting with Creo 2 for modelling organic shapes. The freestyle function is awesome, but I'm having some trouble: I modelled a foot of my character and I want to make the other one through a Mirror feature. The mirroring itself works ok, but if I modify the parent it doesn't update the mirrored feature. (I cannot use Mirror inside Freestyle, the 2 feet are too far apart)   Having to delete and re-do the mirror every time is the option I would use in Rhino, not with Creo. Hi,I'm sure this is real easy but I can't see the wood for the trees. Given a function which uses a range variable as it's parameter. How do I convert this to a Vector for use in the fft function?Please see attached.Thankyou,Mike.

I am trying to use the Solve Block, but it is apparently just spitting my guesses back out as the solution. It is not taking into acount the known values. I haven't used MathCAD since ~2007, so I'm frustrated by Prime 3.0. the known values are the Droad....R. The guesses were Smc, and muI've tried drastically changing the known quantities, only to see no change in the output. I also tried moving the known quantities outside the Solve Block. Am I using the wrong "="sign ?I back-checking someone else's work(and relearning some MathCAD) and I know what values they obtained using a similar method.

Hello,Another problem I'm having is with graphing if statements. I tried the milti-line one a I wouldn't graph and I couldn't get the single line if(test,true,false) to work. I have tried both with and with out units. The if statement doesn't like the variable with a range. I tried to do vectro selection, the [ , but that didn't work either. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question with an easy solution, I think it is. Thanks,

Hello,I created a section of airplane wing from two sets of co-ordinates (top of wing and bottom of wing). Then, I imported this sketch of a wing into a part file in two separate planes. I then tried to blend the two sketches together but it failed to regenerate?Thanks

Hi,I am working on this worksheet, and I cannot get Mathcad to plot my equation. I get the following error: "Plotting Failed. Replace complex values and NaNs by real numbers."I am not using any complex values and I shouldn't have any NaNs unless their is a syntax issue.I have looked through many resources, and I haven't found a solution to this seemingly simple problem.Thanks in advance,Charlie

Hello all,I'm trying to us the find fuction to solve an exponetal equation. I think my problem with the first Find(A.c) is that the value its solving for is around 10^-17 and it wants to say it's zero but can't becaure the value isn't zero. The second Find(T.f) I think is simular, I still get an error if I set a value for A.co. Ihave aslo tried to do this problem with out units and I get the same error. If anyone has any sugestions that would be great.

Hello, we just watched the Robotalk video for session 4 , how do we know if we have the latest version of Creo 2.0 for First students downloaded on our computers? The last time we downloaded the files I believe it was version M070, How can I check this within CREO ? I saw on Robotalk you added a new tab in CREO 2.0 called "Schools" , I'd like to have this set up on all of our CREO software for the team , do we need to reload CREO with a newer download version to get this Tab added? I have been working with some 3D scans that were in a IGS format that someone back in 2011 converted it to a solidworks file. I recently had a co-worker take the Solidworks file and save it as a ProE PRT file format BUT it’s in metric, when I change the units, the part just disappears. Hi.   As the title says, I made a drawing and exported it as dwg. Then I imported dwg back in drawing and model views where not displayed. Only datum planes where displayed. But that only happened when view display was set on Shading or Shading with Edges. If it was set on any other display style (Wirefram,...) it showed views normal.   I also opened dwg file with Creo View Express and eDrawings. In this programs the views where displayed normal in all display styles (Shading with Edges or Wireframe).   Can someone please explain why this happens? So why is model not displayed when exported as dwg (Shading with edges) and than imprted back?   Don`t ask why I would do such a thing as exporting and back importing.    This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team.
