When creating a new drawing (using a template) the Creo dialog forces one to specify an assembly; unfortunatley there is no way to specify which Simp Rep should be used. The default is to add the Master Rep. Which is fine, unless one is working with a large assembly. In which case it is highly annoying, because then one first needs to wait for the drawing to be created; then switch any views to the desired Simp Rep; then remove the Master Rep; and finally use "Erase Not Displayed" to reduce memory usage. By which time one may have experienced a crash due to memory leakage. There's gotta be a better way! Does anyone else feel my pain? Hi...How do we include our own JavaScript code within the WebClient? We have some functionality that we need to build to extend the UI beyond what the Presentation Templates can provide. We can get everything done that we need to if we can #1) include our own JavaScript functions in the HTML pages that are sent to the client, and #2) invoke that JavaScript from the elements that we can create in Rich Content fields. Ive got an assembly of a skeleton model and a number of sheetmetal parts that make use of this skeleton.I dont know since when but something went wrong and if I cant edit any of the sheetmetal parts, I only get to see the following error in the message area:OHNO! This is all the information provided.. I cant edit the external merge, I cant edit anything. The skeleton is still there. How can I find out what reference part is missing? Hi all, Thanks is advance.I am making a graph for moments vs load radius..My Load radius start at 10.3m and hence the graph lines also start at that point (the vertical line in the document). But I want those lines to start from zero ( I mean y axis). How can I do so?I am making these plots against LoadRadius, Rw which has three values in a matirx but my other variables just has one constant value. So how can I put these constant value against three load radius, which will utimately produce a straight horizontal line. Here in the graph I have used a technique writing Friction= C*Rw/Rw which is not smart way I think.I am using mathcad prime 3.0Best RegardsJahangir Hossain

How do i create a surface/mesh in mathcad?and will it be possible to take the surface/mesh to Creo, and vice versa?

I am not a user of Creo Parametric, but hope to be soon. I currently use Geomagic Design, and my manufacturer (R & R Associates) uses Creo Parametric. I am finding it very difficult to convert my Geomagic Models to Creo Parametric. I have tried using STEP, SAT, IGES, but Geomagic has bugs that don't give good exports for certain models. Greetings all.I have a question regarding Creo View and Windchill. There are a couple of users that are having issues with Creo View opening properly. They are able to see preview images in Windchill but when they click on the preview image, all they get is a new window with a white background. A number of us do not have this issue so I am thinking it has to be in the settings somewhere but I have not been able to find any differences in settings. I am either not looking in the right place, or they are someplace I can't get to.We are using Windchill PDMlink 10.1 datecode M040 and Creo View version Creo 2.0 datecode M040 build 15.Any assistance that you can offer will be appreciated.Thank you for your time and have a good day.

I require help. I have created a drawing template that calls parameters from Windchill 10.1 (3D Model state: &PROI_RELEASE and rev: &PTC_WM_VERSION, drawing state: &PROI_RELEASE:D, ver: &PROI_VERSION:D, and rev: : &PTC_WM_REVISION:D ... It was pointed out to me today that when a user performs a "Save As" "Save a Copy" from Creo on the part, not all the parameters copy in the copied drawing - many turn into the text ***.^Original ^Copy ... note: State for the 3D model, and the drawings state and version converted to ***Why does this happen? I am wanting to add an image to my cover using styler. I would like it only to show when I choose the profile OM and set my language to ru. I have created a UFE for it and created a condition for itXPATH expression (//servicemanualmap/@xml:lang="ru") is true andXPATH expression (//servicemanualmap/@otherprops="Op_Manual")When I publish I do not get my desired result.See attached image in styler. Hello allWe have recently made a 5 minutes animation in WF4. We could not render the model because the computer was not good enough. We have liked the results and pland to do more animations in the future, maybe with Creo/Illustration (which we don't own yet).We currently use S20 Lenovo Thinkstations, with 8 GB RAM, Windows 7 and NVDIA 2000What are the computer specifications we should get? We're excited about the new Windchill server, and would like to try using it to work collaboratively on our CREO models this build season. I have a small group of students ready to start designing some stuff right away, but I'm having trouble adding them to our Windchill project. The students who were already on Windchill seem to still be there, but if I search for other returning team members the search comes back empty. They can still login to their PTC accounts, but I can't find them on Windchill. We have been able to add a new student who just created her account a week ago, it seems to only be a problem with older accounts. I have been playing around using different methods to solve a polynomial equation and need the help of one of the 'symbolic guru's on here.I have managed to solve the equation and evaluated numerically, but have the following queries:Can I force the symbolic result to return only real valuesIs 'float' required to evaluate the symbolic expression numericallyIs there a more elegant way to solve this equation.Thanks,Mike

I'm using code off of a project partner where he laid out a find/given function using the programming feature. In most instances it works, however when I change a variable value or add a variable to the equation, it goes "undefined" and will no longer give me an answer. This seems work well when we did the original calculation sheet, however, when I go and try to make revisions to it there are problems that always occur.Even when I just copy and paste the parts to another worksheet it stops working.I didn't want to redo his entire worksheet using another method to find the answers. Does anyone know why I would keep having problems with this method? Is there some syntax that is very discrete that I'm missing? If not solving through this method, do you have a recommendation?Thanks,Nick
