I needed a spring that I could use as a flexible component. It is a closed spring, so the pitch is different at the ends of the spring. I could have used the helical sweep tool, but I always fight with getting the variable pitch to work correctly and I wanted a bit more control. I decided to use a variable section sweep driven from a datum graph instead. The datum graph that I used is shown below: The X-Axis is distance along the spring, and the Y-Axis is number of turns. The spring that I am using is 3 inches in length, has a wire diameter of 0.041 inches and has 27 turns. The spring is closed so the first and last turn each use one wire diameter (0.041 inches) of the length of the spring, while the other 25 turns take up the rest of the spring's length (2.918 inches). I create the foundation of the spring's geometry by sweeping a line around a trajectory. To spin the swept line around the trajectory I feed (trajpar * spring_length) into the datum graph to calculate what turn I am on,

After setting the browser to not expand during startup (File > Options > Window Settings > uncheck "Expand the browser during startup") when clicking on the "Working directory" shortcut in the Common Folders section, the URL (a.k.a bread crumbs, path) appears blank. If you click on a folder in the working directory, the path become filled out. The machine is running: Creo 2.0 M100 Windows NT 6.1 7601 Firefox 30   Is this an SPR? I had installed Mathcad Prime. I did not use it for a few weeks.When I try to write an expression or anything else, Mathcad gives below error and exits.I have attached the log file.Could anyone help me about the issue?

Another problem we're encountering is an error message in regards to our dates. Whenever we open our document or change attributes with it, we see the following error message: I've entered our dates in several different ways (05202014, 20140520, etc.) but it keeps generating this message. Additionally, if I enter the date with slashes or hyphens (05/20/2014, 05-20-2014) it says that it is an invalid format and will not fill in the required attribute field at all. If anyone has seen or solved this problem please let me know. Thanks!

We are using Arbortext V5.3 M130 under Windows 7. For some of our users, arbortext freezes when attempting to Modify Attributes. We have attempted the same action on other users PC with the same file and have been successful in Modifying Attributes.Can anyone offer advice.

I'm trying to model the Philips screw recess, which is defined ISO 4757 as type H. The relevant part of the standard can be seen on Google Image Search.An early model is attached. While the model isn't yet robust, I think I followed the drawing in the standard for size #1 so I'm not sure why some of the numbers are outside of tolerance. We don't like to give write access to an chinese employee to our commercial Windchill database but he should be able to add a parameter with a chinese description for all commercial numbers. Is there a way to update a Creo parameter by code ? Regards,Bernard

When I create drawings from parts that make use of a large skeleton (dimension-wise), there is a boundary around the part with the size of the skeleton.This is very irritating when trying to create projections because the large frames overlap (so trying to select the right object becomes impossible).Right now I solve this by creating a spline boundary (drawing view -> visible area -> partial view) all around the part to get a smaller boundary. This works but is a lot of work. I am a mentor for FRC Team 2877 - The Ligerbots, and one of my tasks is to build our Creo skill base over the summer to put us in a better position for the next build season. I have two nominally identical machines - Dell Optiplex 9020 with Intel graphics, running Windows 7 64 bit, purchased at the same time, identical hardware and nominally identical update history, similar software installed. I have verified that the graphics driver version is the same on both machines and that both installed Windows updates recently. We installed Creo 2.0 (M070) on one of them during build season (late January/early Feb) and the install went smoothly and everything ran fine (and continues to run well). Today I installed Creo 2.0 on the other one, and it wouldn't start up (gives a fatal error message). We had seen this before on other machines, so I created a config.pro file with the line "graphics win32_gdi". This allows it to start up as expected. Once it's running, I can set the graphics to opengl

Hi, I have a requirement to restrict few users among big bunch of users, kindly share the methods you know in this regard.I have tried following methods ..- tried to configure apache by using "Require ldap-filter" but failed to get success.- tried to restrict from ACL .. but in this user could able to navigate the windchill but do not have access to perform any action.

Windchill 10.1. We are trying to open xml files in a text editor (i.e. TextPad) in order to view as "HEX". We need to look at the source in order to troubleshoot issues (i.e. view junk characters at the top of xml, see attachment). Currently we are saving the files outside of Windchill and then opening them in TextPad as HEX view. Anyone know if this can be done within Windchill?

Hello,   I have encountered the folowing issue with Model Manager: A Master Data article has got reserved to my Model Manager user and i cannot unreserve it now, the unreserve button is grayed out.
