Hi everyone,I need your help to replace a string content with the help of relations.Ex. If the file name is "Bracket_Housing" then i need the description to be "Bracket Housing". I use description=rel_model_name() in relation but the output in descriotion with "_" symbol is odd. My component description is always the file name but without the "_". I want to eleminate the "_" in the description.

Hallo zusammen,   ich habe eine 2D-DXF-Datei in Creo Elements/Direct ... eingelesen. Die Geometrien werden wie erwartet auch richtig auf der Annotation-Seite eingelesen.   Der Befehl "Kopieren" unter Geometrie läßt aber nur eine Rechteckauswahl zu. Damit würde ich aber zu viele Elemente nach 3D übertragen. Wie kann ich einzelne Elemente auswählen und nach 3D kopieren.   Das Aufsammeln von Elementen geht. Hi Chaps, I'm a newbie to Abortext (with Styler 6.1) and learning as I go, and as such have a few questions, so starting with this one:When Saving an XML, simply opening a file, then Save As, the XML is breaking an element/line, rather than maintaining the original format:Start:Abortext 6.1 view:After (Save as) - Notice the break at Line 5 / 6- Abortext also adds it's stamp (Line 2), can this be turned off?

I have a problem with check-in, when I try make a check-in of a drawing, I have a problem, made upload, but when go to make a check-in, show this mensage: Cannot create a reflexive UsageReference Link.How make to resolve this problem?

Does anyone know how to change the Name attribute of a soft type to a drop down list instead of a line to type on? I changed the attribute to have an Enumerated Value List, Selection List Style to Drop Down and Input Field Type to Single Line. I stopped and started my server and no change. I am on 10.1 m040. We want to control what names can be picked for a soft type document.Thank you,Brian

Hi all,if I want to analyze an assembly with the symmetry constrain I need to "cut" the entire assembly before to enter in Mechanica.But if the cut is passing trough a hole where I want to put a screw with the fastener proE feature, I can't; because that feature needs an entire circle and not only one half.In this case what I do? Hi, I am MathCad beginner. I'd like ask a question: How can I link value of one matrix element with another element at the another position. (For example in the Excel: I have the cell A1 where i wrote number 5 and I want the same value for the cell B2. Hi, I am a license adminstrator of the firm where i work we have three licenses. one of my proe users who fetches a proe license is not able to leave (give back) the license. i have tried ptc flush on his system still his system holdson to the license. i have also restarted his system but still the problem persists. please sombody helpregardsSamuel

Hi, Got trouble. I made a concept on a welding fixture with dummy parts, meaning in my case very crude parts that are just a placeholder for the real thing. As I'm nearing actual production, nearly all have been replaced by viable pieces. Unfortunately, it seems that some parts have been replaced with the "remember these components" box checked. Now when I want to check in my main asm, it wants to drag these parts along, with I really don't want. Is there a way I can get rid of this dependency? Hi,allI create a mathcad object and use variable in0 to receive data from excel. I wirte a assignment statement in the document, ret:=in0. I save the object into a .xmcd file and reopen it using mathcad, ret is always 0 no matter what in0 is before saving. Does it mean that the calculation result can not be saved? Is it possible to save the result through mathcad automation interface?Thanks

Dear Collaboratory,I have a problem that I cannot resolve. I would like to determine the bend point in a curve. Strange enough my approach seems to work quite well for some curves but fails completely for others. I have to questions: (1) is there a better method to define the bend point? and (2) what is the cause that it sometimes works fine and fails another time (although the curves do not differ too much)Thank for your help and input with this problem.

Hi everybody,I'm using Arbortext 5.2 and Windows NT.I have some formula graphics linked into our texts, but they're displayed too small. Is there a way to magnify these graphics?I know, that I possibly could add some scaling attributes to my doctype and to configure them in the associated .dcf file. But since it is "only" an Arbortext-display-problem, I was thinking of a less DTD-contaminating solution, maybe via FOSI?Every idea would be appreciated,best regards,Ulrike Schaper.

I have written with Werner's help a reasonably complicated worksheet which solves a coupled ODEs within a solve block. The ODEs are themselves nested functions. To get the answer I desire it normally take many runs because the output functions are dependant on many input variables. I have read that a competing product TKSolver can do backsolving for the input variables in order to achieve a desired output function which describes the goal. I have looked at making the ODE solve block into a function and passing back the initial conditions but that is not what is desired because the nested functions are "bound up" as part of the ODE definition. What is needed is some way of defining a goal output within the solve block and somehow (maybe via external program control) changing the input variables to achieve that goal. The goal in my case is just one variable but it is a dependant on other variables particularly height which the coupled ODE is solves for. I have seen examples in the forum

Following on from Antonius' spring tutorial:http://communities.ptc.com/docs/DOC-3864I tried to do something similar in WF5, but couldn't make the wrap work.In the attached version I've even brought the edges of the sketch in so that they're clearly within the surface.I'm sure I'm missing something obvious - would someone please show me what?

I am trying to select part of a surface but Creo 2.0 only selects the whole surface across the boundary.You can see this from the images below: The first one shows a seingle surface selected, and the second the Intent Surface. Both surface cross the the ledge, but all I want is the thin strip towards the top of hte image. I've tried trimming the surface using the corner line, but even though Creo correltly creates an intersected line, it won't trim successfully using this line.I presume there is a way to do it using Creo's rather unintuituve surface selection using various combinations of ctrl and shift, but I can't figure it out.Help would be appreciated,Sam

Anyone have any experience/advice for creating WTParts for documents that are 40-70 characters in length?We are currently set up so the WTPart created in 10.1 is copying the name from the cad file. These cad files are being loaded from network drives and some have been in use for almost a decade now, and are in many assemblies.If I try to check in these models, ex. 3880 FITTING,PIPE,BUSHING,HEX,0.25IN FNPTX1.25MNPT.SLDPRT <- 57 Charactersthen this error comes up. Conflict Description: The value exceeds the upper limit of "40" for "Number".I have a few ideas how I could approach this, but it would be a very manual approach (manually create and name the Part for the cad doc) or I could simply ignore the WTPart for these files for now... I should note that I have almost 2000 of these files with freakishly long file names. And for the record, no I did not name any of these files... Thanks in advance.
