I am currently making a sheet metal cover for a processor unit that needs to be ventilated, so I decided on using perforated sheet metal. I would therfore like the modelled part to reflect the material from which it is made, both visually and parametrically.The raw material has 3mm dia holes on a 5mm pitch as per http://www.novametals.co.uk/pdf/rh/304/r3_0t5_0.pdfI thought I could model up the box and then pattern fill the flat form representation at the end, but I can't find a way of adding a feature to the flat form representation. Dear Mathcad fans,So I am still discovering the functionalities of Mathcad Prime 2.0 and I have some trouble getting reasonable results.I have a function Z representing the electrical impedance of a parallel LC circuit which varies with the frequency f. I tried to plot Z for the given frequency range (1 MHz < f < 2700 MHz) but without success.I would be very happy if you look at my worksheet and tell me what is done wrong.P.S.Please note tha that Z can only take pure imaginary values (has no real part).Thanks

Has anyone encountered this problem?I'm trying to load a Pro/Engineer WF5 file from our ACE Winchill server to my workspace.The file will not download to my workspace. This is the Event Manager error I get: ================================================================Local cache for source "failedRequest" is having incomplete information for merge================================================================Once I try adding this Pro/E file, I can no longer add ANY files to my workspace.I've tried clearing my Pro/E, JAVA and Internet Explorer cache.Two other engineers in my area were able to load the same file from the server to their workspace and open it with Pro/E sucessfully.

Hi All,I have installed Windchill 10 M020. Everything seems to be working finr except the Workflow Template Management. I'm not able to open a workflow. After a few troubleshooting, I found that it's a RMI access permission. We've recently noticed that Pro/E's Print dialogue box no longer has the option to select "MS Printer Manager", when we use our normal department config. Dear Mathcad fans,I just downloaded a trial version for mathcad prime 2.0 and I want to solve an equation numerically in the field of microwave engineering.First I defined my constants C1:=1.2pF (picofarad); C2:=1.03pF and L:=10*10^-9 H (Henry) (Why there is no nanohenry nH in Matchcad Prime?!)Then I opened Solve Block.In Guess Value I put w:=1GHz (Gigahertz)In Constraints I put (or mor accurately: try to put) my equation (1/(j*w*C1-j/w*L)+1/j*w*C2)=0The problem is when I put the "=" character Mathcad automatically calculates the value for w=1 and gives me the result. But that's not what I want! I want to get the value of w for which the whole expression (1/(j*w*C1-j/w*L)+1/j*w*C2) equals zero.Any help please?

I don't understand why it doesn't like my ∆H expressions (the one that use heat capacity). I'm talking about ∆Hethanol(T), ∆Hethylene(T) and ∆Hwater(T). From there I think I can figure out what's wrong with the rest of it, just need to know one to know the rest. It doesn't come up as red until you enter the = sign.Also, do I need to do a solve block before ∆Greaction(T,P,e) to get it to graph? I just can't tell because of the errors.

When I post a .ncl file my RPM's won't go beyond 10,000 even if in the paratemers they are at say 25,000. Any ideas how to fix this? Seems like it's a software issue setting???Jeff

There are cases where a value in an equation may be assigned to an expression rather than a single variable.For example: (e^alpha)/k = 3Is there a way to define such an expression so it can be carried "as is" in an equation without having to fist substitute it with a single variable?Thank you.

I want to create raised or recessed text on non-planar surfaces. I did some searching and found this tutorial:http://www.ptc.com/cs/cs_27/howto/bgf64/bgf64.htmHowever this was written for WF4, and when I tried to follow it in Creo I hit a snag in step 3 when it says "in Sketcher, click Loop" and shows an icon that I can't find. Hey,Is it possible to define the bend as radius and arc length, rather than radius and angle? I'm trying to get one of our components into a family table, and the drawing I have gives the length of the bend not the angle. I realize, of course, it's a simple math problem to get it from length to angle. While this gives an acceptable bend for the largest of the family of components, the smalles fails. I am thinking the failure is due to rounding error or perhaps the bend plane? Regardless, if I could just input the radius and length, it would solve the problem more elegantly. Any help would be appreciated.

I am trying to creat a curved sheetmetal part with a flush flange across the top and bottom. Do I make the part with the top and bottom flush flange and put the large sweeping curve in the part instead of making the part with the sheet metal flush flange and then trying to form the large sweep in it?I would appreciate any help that you may have for this. I have included a .jpg & .dwg of the drawing showing the flush flange in Detail B. We are in the process of purchasing latest version of MathCAD. I am told that it will be available throughout our office by later this spring. Meanwhile I have several MathCAD 14 sheets that I am intended to use immediately. I downloaded trial version of MathCAD Prime 2. I tried to convert my files with XMCD converter, and it asks me that I need to have version 15 installed to be able to do this conversion. I wasn’t able to locate a version 15 trial download on the PTC website anywhere. I also downloaded trial version of 14 with the hope that I would be able to open my files without conversion, and once it tries to obtain trial version license, it says that trial version 14 is no longer supported, and I should check for the latest versions, which I could not locate. I appreciate if anyone can help me on this, how I can open version 14 files with any trial version.

Hey. So this probably has a straightforward answer, but for some reason I can't seem to see what my problem is. I have everything in the right order for the solve block. But whenever I type in the K.a(e.a,e.b) after given, it tells me somethings up with my function.There are a lot of annotations to this problem, its just how I like to do it. The real problem is at the bottom half.

Hello all,I am working in Windchill 10.0. When I open document in Creo View Lite, I don't have an option to note or highlight document (this is not the only option that doesn't work, this is just the most important for me). It also doesn't load pages on the left panel. I have a document with 4 pages and it should present it in left panel but my panel is empty. Does anyone have idea what could be the problem???? Please help, I have a presentation for customer in few days.Thanks!

I haven't used mathcad for years and just got the prime 2.0 demo - have a simple question.Say that I define a function like u(x,y,z):= (ax + by + cz), and I want to solve for x...say x = (u-by-cz)/a. How can I do that in mathcad now?Regards
