Hi all,I am a newbie to the usage of mathcad and could do with some step by step help from you experts out there.I have a mathcad problem:I want to plot a graph of the function f(x) from the equation;f(x) = x(14-7x)(16-7x) 4(4-x)^2I do not want to show the equation in the worksheet (and so imagine there will be some packets of data on the sheet somewhere that can be referenced to).From the information I need to plot a graph of the function f(x) (repeated myself didn't I).I would like the graph needs to cover the interval [0, 2.68] in the x direction and [0, 80] in the y direction.If anybody can help (step by step because I'm thick....lol). I woul;d be really grateful.Paul

Does anyone know how to edit/set the cache location in Windchill 9.1 for Solidworks 2010? Some of our employees have their workspaces/cache set to network drives when it should be local. I'm trying to fix this for them but haven't found how to do it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am working on a physics problem whose solution involves an expansion over a set of Hermite polynomials with complex arguments. Unfortunately the built in Hermites in Mathcad 15 do not accept complex arguments. Aside from calculating the functions myself using the well known recursion, does anyone know a convenient way to evaluate Hermites with complex arguments?I'm a little surprised that Mathcad has a problem here.Peter

A co-worker insists that Pro/E WF2 would automatically update his drawing sheets when he activated the drawing window. Since the switch to WF4, he now has to use View -> Update -> All Sheets. Is there a config setting in WF4 that will update all drawing sheets when the window is activated? Using arbortext 6.0 m020I have a cross reference that does not show up as gentext in a note in my sma side by side procedure. Is this the way it should be. It does show up in the pdf but it is not a blue hyperlink. Is this an issue with the program or the user?ThanksBryon

Hi, i want to create a short movie to send to a customer. I simply want to spin a model around slowly & record this movement. I have never been asked to do this before & i am not even sure it can be done using WF5, i have launched the help centre & it talks about file, export, movie, but when i go to file i do not see export. Hello,It's my first post so I would be thankfull if someone could help me I'm using mathcad 15My question is when im adding component such as excel there are inputs and outputs... what's that? :[is there any way that when i defined some stuff such as: c.bp=281 ; c.zp4=333 ; c.zp5=316 etc. the result of the each equation it will be in excel in different cells?if it's impossible then let's say I put on excel everyhing by myself... and I want to get QW = "number" where "number" is the 1454,18 and it's on the cell D7 in excel.... somehow mathcad will read that from excel... a bit complicated but I hope you can understand me and my weird english..... Hi apologies in advance if there is already a post regarding this but I couldn't find one specific enoughI attempted to install ProE 5 (education edition) on my HP windows 7 desktop, I get as far as clicking "setup.exe" and it asking my permission for program to make changes to computer, click yes but nothing happensI read that ProE 5 does work with Windows7 64bit, although I am pretty new to this is likely there is something i'm missingThanks

I am trying to use "Copy Geometry" in a part model to copy over some curves from one model to another. This would allow me to match up my parts to each other and if the first part is modified, the second part that is based on the copied geometry would be automatically adjusted.It used to be easy to do this in Wildfire 4.0, but it has been a while since I have used the software. Can somebody point out where did i miss out in my program above? if I try "f" above using matrix "a", I get an error, but when I try "f1" using "b", its fine.

Dear All,I have a simple problem on the plot enclosed with the BAR at P2(t) shown on the chart as pink bar… I want the bar to touch the line of f2(t) like the other bars do.Please see enclosed Mathcad attachmentCould someone show me the correct way to enter the function on this point.I have tried manually adjusting the P2(t) part, but I don’t really like this approach…Any help or advice gratefully received.Best regards,Lea…

I think the easiest example is to imagine a sphere (surface revolve) with it's centre on the origin, and a cube (surface extrude) at the same location and big enough to encapsulate the sphere. How would you get the shape that is between the two? A sort of sphere-y cube-y plasticine type of shape?I expect this is either very hard or very easy. You're not allowed to use extra modules in the solution (ISDX, BMX, etc)I'd also be curious to know how people would go about creating a shape like this the long way. How can I extract the results shown above in LC1 from LC?

I created a list box that can read values from an excel sheet. By choosing different value on the listbox, the factor I need will change accordingly. However, I can not save the value of the listbox, every time I close and re-open the MathCAD sheet, the listbox will go back to the first row. I have been reading the posts on this website, a lot of people got simliar question of making custom controls persistent and there are answers for them. However, I guess since the values of the listbox I used is from the Excel table, the case is a little bit different. Unfortunately, I am not good at VB at all, so if you can help me fix the script diretly, that will be perfect. I attached the MathCAD file and the Excel table below. Please help me out with this. Hi all, i have raised this issue before but i keep trying in the hope someone may have a solution. The problem is with hidden lines in my drawing, i know this may seem strange, but even though this is hidden detail i want certain lines to appear as solid geometry.
