Hi again. Continuing to work on my sheet that estimates the top speed of an aircraft in level flight. I would like to plot level speed against altitude, similar to this curve here for the real WW2-era P-51D fighter I am using to validate my model: http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/mustang/P-51D_15342_Level.jpgFor whatever reason (and I feel like a moron) I find the documentation for mathcad to be unclear. It's like it's skipping some fundamental step that I haven't learned yet. Same goes for most of the tutorials I find.In any case, here is my question at the moment:Should I iterate my solve block a few times, and then use a curve-fitting algorithm to get a nice graph? Is there an easier way to get a curve?I'm not even sure if I'm approaching this the right way. Does anyone know how to configure creo view (product view) express? How do you make MathCad display a grey-scale image?Rumour has it that the pixel values are integers from 0 to 255.Could somebody tell me the data type that is displayedand the command that puts it on the screen?A JPEG save would be nice too.

Hi!Let's go for my first post here!I'm trying to add specific tolerance tables in WF5 (Creo elements/pro).The aim is to set tolerances of a plastic part to the french standart NF T 58000 (standard for plastic parts, depending on materials) , or of a sheet metal part to the french standard NFE02-352 (standard for sheet metal part, depending on thickness & machining process).I've tried to edit the default ISO table (with file / setting / tolérances / change / tol table ..), then to modify & save it, but when I try re-load it, I've got an error message: "unable to find file in the current folder".Then I've tried to copy & rename the "general_def.ttl" file , then to modify it with a wordpad. I am interested in finding a way to process foreign exchange rates in MathCad. Does anyone know of a workaround or add-in that will allow me to declare the value of one currency in terms of another, and then use that value to complete my calculations?

Can someone explain to me why this ODE solve block procedure (see worksheet attached) is not working with MathCad Prime 1? I did a similar exercise in MathCad 15 (see image) using an equivalent formulation and all was OK. What I am trying to do is a sensitivity analysis with the parameter k which in this case is the thermal conductivity of the insulation material. For some reason the variable k does not seem to recognised by the solve block and thus the matrix of functions is not being returned to the variable.

Let me first explain what I'm trying to accomplish in M15:I'm attempting to determine how fast an aircraft would be able to fly in level flight, based on a simplified model. To test this model I have some data from a WW2-era P-51D Mustang fighter. The data shows that this Mustang could make ~442 mph true airspeed at 26000 feet.To find the top speed at a particular altitude, I first develop a formula for Specific Excess Power (Ps), and then look for the true airspeed at which Ps is zero.I have tried to do this using a minimize solve block but am apparently doing it wrong because I get wildly varying values for the top speed depending on what I enter as my original "guess" values.I have read all the tutorials I've been able to find but none of them were helpful, since what I am trying to do is not the same thing as finding the intersection between two curves.Please help!

Hi i'm new at this of programming controls in mathcad, how can I get the ambient properties of the mathcad environment?, I mean, how can I detect that mathcad zooms in or out. Hello everyone,I'm severely new to Mathcad and I am trying to use the programming toolbar to clean up my worksheet.Currently I have a large matrix full of chemical property data and I want to extract some of that data into a new matrix based on combo boxes. I'm not up to the level of scripting combo box or listbox behavior yet, so I was trying the following workaround.Data = The large matrix that has mountains of data.Species(i) = The column number that corresponds to the correct data. If no chemical species was selected Species(i) = "None"Test = New matrix that I would like to create with just the extracted data from the larger matrix.See attached for a screenshot of the command. Is there something wrong with my syntax? Can I not use the subscripts in that way?

Has anyone noticed an increase in file size when moving from Wf 5.0 to Creo 1.0 Parametric M010 & M020? Some of my models have grown by a factor of 10 and has caused my PC to use up all 8Gig of RAM and files sizes of in the range of 400mb to 2 gig. Anyone have any ideas.Thanks

Will datecodes under the same major release conflict with one another. Meaning, will datecodes such as Pro 5/Creo M080 & Pro5/Creo M110, result in any interoperability issues when sharing files? Hi all,I'm entirely new to planetPTC, so I apologize if I am posting this in the wrong area.I've been using Mathcad for a year and a half, but recently began experiencing problems with the mathematical operators. Larger operators such as the definite and indefinite integral no longer appear, but are instead replaced with a long row of placeholders. The functions themselves still work; the operators that represent the functions are the problem. In the picture below, I have attempted to bring up several operators. So I have been taking a Calculus III course at the local community college and AP Physics at school and have noticed the incredible power of the dot product, cross product, 3D graphing, gradient, partial derivatives, integrals, and the works, especially for a prgogramm like the FIRST Robotics Competition. I know that PTC's Mathcad is a powerful mathemathical computation program so I was wondering how to do some fairly basic but highly useful operations like dot product, cross product, 3D graphing, gradient, table of values, and partial derivatives. We have recently moved to Windchill 10.0 from Intralink 3.4. In Intralink, whenever I create a new Manufacturing assembly, it shows as a different symbol but same does not happen in PDMLink and it shows me as an assembly symbol. Please refer figure. (the manufactrung symbol which you can see in the figure are checked out assemblies which has been created and checked in at a time of Intralink.)Any help is appreciated.Thanks,Jay

This question refers to the add to workspace, check out, check in setting that people are using and why? My companies windchill is currently on "default", but I am finding several instances where the default actually screws things up, and I think "As Stored" might be a better configuration. For Example. I have an assembly top level Rev B (Rev A released, Rev B in work) - Part 1 Rev A (Released) - Part 2 Rev A (in work) - Part 3 Rev B(Rev A Released Rev B in work)The top level is "in work" and being revised because I am adding Part 2.The problem I am coming across is in Part 3. My top level wants to use the released Part 3 rev A in Commonspace, but because someone else has created a Rev B that is now "in work", the model wants to pull the latest Rev. B instead of the released Rev. A into the assembly model. In order to try and fix this, I went to commonspace and downloaded the Rev A released copy to my local workspace, and it updated in my model. Good evening all, I'm having a problem with Genfit. I don't really know how to use it properly. I have a data file. I plot the histogram. I want to use Genfit to give me a better curve instead of the histrogram so I can then try to get what we call threshold voltage (a kind of middle line of the two probablity distributions) Could you please help me? As I understand it at the moment, you need to create a matrix, give the original function as the first value and then first derivatives against each variable in the following rows, but when I do this mathcad doesn't like it and I don't know why. It says something along the lines that they need to have the same number of values when I give it genfit(v,h,guess,D) the guess one goes red. I'm confusedI attach the files for you to have a look at. today got a chance to take my hand on Creo... it was not good at first site as ui is totally changed and hv to click more, plus i love my meanubar which is gone now why i love it? cause i often uses keyboard which is quite important to me to work fast. meanubar increases speed of my work. anyways i hv a problem which i dont hv before. i hv trouble to change the pen_line_width in creo. by defult it is 3 and i want it to be 0.5 but creo doesnot changes value. why is that??? i tried 1,2,3,4,5... and value change is creo donot take pen_line_width in decimals why is that?? or is there anthting else that i hv to do first?
