Greetings, Not sure if this is a Windcill or CAD file or network issue. Has anyone ever had issues opening files in Windchill but another person does not? I have cleared cache, cleared workspace, reset Windchill and still not able to open. One thing to note: We work on different networks that I guess tap into a shared Windchill. This may have something to do with it? I have seen problems with syncing checked in/checked out files. If so, what fixes the problem? Wayne

Hello, I use Python to extract data from Mathcad Prime files, based on the previous post below. One thing I noticed is that our Python tool will crash when you have a new line in a text region. Getting rid of the new line in the text region gets rid of the crashing issue. When I go into the Mathcad .zip file with all of the XML data, I do not see any difference between two files - one with text with a new line and one  with no new line. Where would I find the new line data in the text region? I will update the Python code to catch new lines, but I dont even see where the new lines are in the text region.    Mathcad Prime 9.0 Scripting with XML Data - PTC Community

I am using Mathcad V15.  I have started playing with using controls in some of my sheets to limit certain variables to having only certain inputs.  In my one sheet, I added a list box control for a variable, and the only choices the user could select would be "B", "C", or "D".  When I finished my sheet, I set the variable to selection "C", saved and then closed.  When I reopened the sheet, the selection of "C" for the variable was cleared.  Is there a reason why the sheet did not retain the selection for the control?  Is there a setting somewhere that I can change that will allow the selection to remain?  Thank you!

After Install. Community,   I have imported a complex model that is made up entirely of quilts, and of course, quilts have edges.  After importing the model into Creo 6 and selecting the No Hidden icon, all the lines still show through like a wireframe display.  I cannot display the model online, but no matter what combination of system colors I try, they always show through, even with Black on White.  There is nothing in the layer tree to turn off, it's all quilts.  Has anyone encountered this before, and is there a solution?  Thanks in advance.

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: WCA suggests setting wt.queue.executeQueues to "false". Currently it's "true". I see no issues, but both BGMS and MS log show rows related to queues suggesting both 'manage' them which probably is not most efficient. However, not sure which way to go. Wondering has 'queue management' changed between versions.This article says for 12.1.2.x that it should be set to "false" if Background Method Server is configured:https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS295854 This one referencing 10.2 says queues fail, if it's not "true".https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS178571

I activate Mathcad Prime 10, using a License Key supplied by my employer (Wageningen University) where I work as lecturer, but after few days this key doesn't work anymore. When i try to use it again I receive the notification that I achieved the maximum number of licenses.The ICT supplied me other license keys, but the result is always the same: few days and I go back to the express version. The attached file has two functions.  The top function work but will not allow double quotes in the second column of a text file.  The second function works to do that, and it works well enough.  Was wondering if I could improve it with a TRY... ON ERROR addition?  

Hi PTC Community - I have two variable quantities (Water & Ammonia) evaluated over two different temperature ranges over which only they are each valid.I would like to plot both with a common x-axis range (-70°C to +370°C), and not be limited to either the T1 or T2 (MIN, MAX) range.See how the Ammonia (pink) plot is being limited to the MIN(T1) value of 1°C. See attached. Hi everyone, I have two ThingWorx projects that depend on each other. Both i want to  import as packages into our server. I noticed the following behavior: When I reference the Thing dynamically like this, it works without any issue means package is created:   const Controller = "thingName; Things[Controller ].serviceOne({ id: 234, state: "complete", });   However, when I try to use the dependency more directly (e.g., referencing it statically without the intermediate variable), I get an error while packaging for dependency.   Things[thingName].serviceOne({ id: 234, state: "complete", });   My questions: Is there a recommended way to handle cross-project Thing references? Any insights or best practices would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  This is a screen grab from the Part Classification facet. I use an identifier of no significance when defining the nodes but the display name is meaningful. Odd that I am seeing a mix of sometimes display name and sometimes internal node name (node###). What gives? Did it just get tired and give up? Windchill 11.1 M020.

Hi Community,I’m currently experimenting with Options & Variants to see if it could fit our company’s workflow.For testing, I’m using this setup: one Configuration End Item with a single Configuration Child underneath.So far, I’ve been able to successfully propagate parameters that are linked to option choices down to the child Configurable Articles.What I can’t figure out is how to propagate the value of a regular input parameter (for example, a length) from the parent configuration down to its configuration children.The idea is that the top-level configuration would receive one input length, and multiple configurable children would each calculate their own required length based on that value.I would then also like to use this new length in the Variant name.However, I haven’t found a way to pass that parent input parameter to the children.Has anyone done this before, or can explain the correct approach?I'm using Windchill 12.1.2.4Best regardsJustin

Hi there, I have a frustrating problem with Model Check.We use screws in our assemblies. Those screw's length is defined by a family table. Unfortunately, ModelCheck always checks those screws in the assembly and causes a "is modified". Even if I check the assembly with the option "top level".  I already added "IF ( MODELNAME EQ ISO* ) NOCHECK" to condition.mcc But no luck. Creo keeps modifying those models nevertheless. If I open the screw itself and run model check, I get a "nocheck", which I expect.  BUT Creo list the model as "modified" anyway.
