Hello Experts, I am trying to install the WC 12 . I need to know one information about the Directory server. Can i use Directory server Media zip from WC 11.2 while installing WC 12.0.2.0? or I need to use its supported with WC 12.0.0.0?  Just want to know is anyone has tried this before?  Experts your opinion on this please. Note- Currently we are evaluating Opendj security related stuff so want to know if the Windchill Directory server from WC 11.2 media zip can be used.

Hi, I'm creating a mould of a lego minifigure for a school project. I created a silhouette curve to define the split line on the model but then when I tried to create a skirt surface it came up with a lot of errors because I don't think the silhouette curve has complete loops. Is there any simple way of fixing this? Maybe using a different operation to achieve the same result?

Hello  I have a local instance of Kepware (V6.9.572) on my Laptop to which I want to connect a scanner device. I have a Honeywell scanner which interfaces with my laptop using USB port. I want to connect this USB port to Kepware and obtain the scanned data as a string input. Is this possible to do? Thanks in advance  

I didn't find any interface related to the Create_balloons function in my API wizard. I use Creo Parametric 4.0 version, I am trying to use VBAPI to create balloons by view automatically . Is there any interface can help me with that? Or other ways to take me there.

Hi there, I installed the student version of Creo 8.0.4.0, I know that I do not have a cutting-edge computer to run some of the extensions of creo such as creo simulate live, creo render studio and others... that is why I just installed CREO PARAMETRIC. However, when the installation was done, I got the message INSTALLED WITH ERRORS, I opened the message to see what the error was and it showed: your computer doesnt support creo simulation liv ( I said it doesnt matter because I did not installed that extension) as I said before I just installed creo parametric. Therefore:1. I opened Creo to start getting familiar with the software, I clicked on CREATE NEW PART, then I scrolled up and down on the drop-down menu to select a TEMPLATE (I think it is for units selection) BUT I could not be able to select the template I wanted, it automatically asked me to select a template again, I TRIED to select a different one but nothing, then I DECIDED to click on and selected EMPTY and it worked,

Hello,I purchased the Creo 10.0 Student Premium version to be able to use the full extent of the advanced framework extension. When I use Advanced Framework, I am limited to 20 features and receive a popup stating that I am using AFX Lite. All of the information I can find seems to suggest that I should receive the full version of advanced framework with the premium version: Creo9_Education_Editions_Comparation_Chart.pdf (ptc.com)(I cannot find a similar chart for Creo 10.0. A google search of "Creo education editions comparison chart" returns a pdf link that shows the same: The free student version includes AFX Lite while the paid premium version contains the full AFX extension.) Creo 10 University Student Edition Premium License | PTC Store(under Key Features, Advanced Framework Extension is listed, with no suggestion of it being the LITE version) It appears that the Manikin extension is working properly so I think some of the features of the premium version are active

I  am having trouble creating properly dimensioned drawings of compound miter cuts on HSS square tubes. The annotations are difficult for the shop to interpret. ( see picture attached) So the next best thing is a pipe wrap template that the shop can use to mark the tube for cutting.I've had some luck:1. converting to sheet metal and then making a flat pattern drawing and exporting to DXF for laser cutting a marking template and also2. some luck creating a surface wrap and unfoldng that as well. Neither one is ideal however, and both were found by accident and not easily repeatable. Furthermore the "convert to sheet metal" method was irreversible so it requires making copies of all the tubes in the model which is a royal pain when there are more than a few parts.  

Version: Windchill 11.1 Use Case: Is ti possibile to delete a drawing associated to an assy model with different code, without deleting assy model too?Description: I have created a drawing with new code to represent an old and already released assy model with a different code.Now I need to delete thi drawing that I have checked in but still in creation. Local admins told me that deleting is impossible because drawing has been checked in with the assy model association.I don't understand why this should be a problem considering assy model was realased before drawing creation and not depending from it. In my opinion deleting of this drawing shoudn't affect anythingelse in Windchill. Hello, I am wondering if there is a method to use Distributed Batch to backup drawing files (and all associated assembly + part files) to a directory ? I attempted this using the mapkey.ttd and then including my config.pro containing a mapkey that recorded: Save a backup (while in a drawing file) > OK > Yes to the two prompts that appeared. The error I receive in the log is [-4] Error: Incomplete input data. Hello, I am pretty new for Thingworx, I am using the Labelchart widget and would like to change the XAxis marker format from DD/MM to MM/DD to line up my host server setup, now my system shows MM/DD/YYY but my Labelchart X Axis shows DD/MM, the setting for the Labelchart is as follow:XAxisLabelType: DateTime, XAxisFormat is MM/DD and XAixsField is dt, this setting is always shows DD/MM on my XAxis, only when I changed the XAxisField to nCount, I will get the MM/DD but the XAxis is not line up with current time. Seems the Labelchart cannot be localized
