Hi,  I created an EquivalenceLink by passing an upstream WTPart (original) and a downstream WTPart (copy). The two parts are valid and already stored in the database. Is there any way to change the line weights of a sketch made in a .prt or .asm when you print out the .drw it's used in? The pen tables don't do anything, the the line style can change the color, but doesn't seem to do anything about weight, changing the options in the 3D cad app doesn't seem to propogate the change to the PDF.  Any ideas? Thanks! I'm on creo 9

I read the APTCUSTOM value using local tmpPath = $main::ENV['APTCUSTOM'];If I look at the string showing it with response($tmpPath); it works well but when I pass that value to a js function, inside that function the string is unreadable and therefore I cannot construct a path with it.What to do in order to pass what response popup shows ?  

I have created a mashup which used the file upload widget to display an image using the image widget, i have created a service, which takes parameters from the file upload widget and then supplies the result to the image widget which is an image link. 

Creo 7.0 I've been working in an assembly for a week. Just today when I add anymore cad geometry to it I get a "frozen" symbol. If I fully mate the part down it appears correct until I hit ok. Then it jumps to another location and in my model tree I get the pause or "frozen" symbol. I can delete/re-add mates, or try reinserting the parts, but I get the same result. Not sure what's going on. Maybe I accidentally triggered an option somewhere? Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you!

Hello, I am struggling with a fresh install of thingworx 9.4.4. More so I am struggling to get the tomcat service to start. It is consistently comming up with the error: ubuntu systemd[1]: tomcat9.0.service: Killing process xxxx (n/a) with signal SIGKILL.I have made sure that the permissions on the PID file location belongs to the tomcat9.0 user.  I have followed the guide: Install Java, Apache Tomcat, and ThingWorx (ptc.com) I have installed java -version- openjdk version "11.0.21" 2023-10-17.I have installed tomcat9.0.86. For now, I have just used the self-signed certificate for simplicity and will change over once I have the service working. From the guide I made sure to do the following: Edit AUTHBIND properties to allow Tomcat to bind to ports below 1024  sudo apt-get install authbind # For port 80 sudo touch /etc/authbind/byport/80 sudo chmod 500 /etc/authbind/byport/80 sudo chown tomcat9.0 /etc/authbind/byport/80 # For

I wanted to create an animation of my robotic hand. The first step is to save the mechanism playback file so I can import into the animation menu. My problem is to I don't know how to create a reciprocating motion, where the robotic finger begins in a straight position, bends, and then returns to its original straight position. I need to know how to reverse the motion for my robotic hand in mechanism playback. I can only make the motion from the straight position and bend without returning to the initial straight position (reciprocating). My idea is to make a separate servo motor and analysis for bending motion and make another one for back straight motion so I can import this 2 mechanisms playback to my animation so it will looks like "reciprocating motion".. However, I am not sure if this will work and believe it to be  complicated. Is there a more efficient way to produce reverse/reciprocating results?

Anyone can tell how do we change the font size of the creo UI. I mean the overall size in ribbons, model tree and all?

I want to use the thingworx service and send the data to Power Automate but now limitation is i am unable to make GET request from Thingworx platform. Is it possible that thingworx Api can work as Get API so that i can get the data in Power Automate. Can anyone please spread light on this topic. I would like to get the data with GET HTTP method and NOT POST METHOD.

  it has to match with the serial Number and return the entry where it matches the serial number but it  returns all the entries of datatable. sometimes it works fine but again after sometime if i run the service again it shows me all the entries. it works fine until i give the serialnumber to get the entries and then when i add wrong serialnumber then it keeps showing me the old output with all the entries. I have never seen such a wrong behaviour before. Hello Community, I added few parameters to my assembly and did Configure action. I stumbled upon the below queries, please shed some light if you can. i) If a Parameter is not mapped to any attribute, does it still have any significance? If yes, please explain how. ii) As per below statement from PTC, what is the purpose of adding parameters after the page break?If at least one page break has been defined for the topmost configurable module, then only the input parameters for the first page of this configurable module are processed.iii)Statement: Adding child resolution would process the parameters for the child configurable module first. Query: I see the child parameters and parent parameters appearing in the same page of Set Parameters tab, then how the process is done first for the child? Thanks in advance.Sha

HI, I'm creating an API to transform a EBOM to MBOM using java. I don't have much knowledge about the differences between EBOM and MBOM, and what I only found is that the WTPart names of EBOM comes with a (Design), while the MBOM WTParts are having a (Manufacturing). Does this mean I can just duplicate WTParts, and change their view from Design to Manufacturing, and then the transform is done? Thank you!

Hi together, we would like send some elements as string to an external .exe Tool, and want to get the result as a return value back in acl. So we need a interaction between acl and the external exe.Do you have an idea how we can do this via ACL? We know the "sh" command, which starts the exe, but we cannot get a return value from this.Best regards

I am cleaning up a model. Running Creo 7. There are Creo "Simulation Studies" showing up in the model tree. I went into the Creo Simulation app, and blew away all of the simulation elements. However, when i exit the app and go back to the model tab, the simulation studies still show up in the model tree... When I right click to delete them, nothing happens. Same when I highlight them and hit the delete button. 

Hi,I have an assembly where the Creo Parametric Cabling wires are no longer showing the correct thickness that's specified in the spools that are assigned to the harness. I have made sure that the thick cables option turned on for display setting and not center lines.As I open the assembly in Creo it initially looks like this (should be black as last saved and stay this large size)Then when the assembly finishes opening in Creo it looks like this with thicken display onThis is what it looks like when center line display setting turned onThe diameter of the insulation in the spool table set to 0.201 inches diameter and its showing up in the assembly like 0.01" diameter. Any ideas on how to get the wires to show proper size from the spool tables for the harness?Thanks for any help you may provide,Don ACreo Parametric 8.0.5.0   

Hello, I would like you to help me with the following question, I have already reviewed the blog and the PTC community, however I cannot find a solution. I am trying to convert this dimension into an inspection dimension. Likewise, I have to use the properties of this dimension, I right clicked and this appears, only this option, (see picture)  I'm using 7.10.0.I have seen on another blog that it is necessary to unlock it but I do not have that option, if someone can help me it would be of great. It toke a lot of my time.

Currently we have an acl script that adds the username to any comments that are inserted. There has been a request to add the date. Is there a way to only have the date?
