Does someone know the exact behaviour of the scale attribute of the 3D-Model. Is it setting the dimensions of the CAD-Daten as 1.0, or is 1.0 meaning something like 1m?   I'm asking because I have noticed some strange behaviour when trying to detect the model target. When I'm using the CAD-Model as target which corresponds to the real object I want to detect, it does not work. I just don't detect it. But when I scale it down like 0.1 or 0.01. It almost detect's it instantly.

Hello! I had such error when filling in and then saving the configuration for the database:     As I understand, ThingWorx swears at the "sun" in the JDBC Driver Class Name field:     Does this mean that I can't use such driver? Or is the problem in the title, or in something else? Prompt if someone came across this, please.

Hi all, We have license server running a floating Mathcad license and as i understand it, it is possible to install Mathcad Prime and Mathcad 15 and perform a file conversion. We can start Matchcad 15, no problem, we can start Mathcad Prime, no problem. Currently though, any attempt to convert ends in a license prompt : Invalid Host (see attachment).   And ideas? Thanks in advance.  

Is there a way to assign duplicate mashups (e.g. PTC.Factory.Logout Mashup) to the PTC.FactoryConsole?  I want to change the Logout Area and assign this to the Mashup.       Or is it possible to customize the PTC.FactoryConsole oder duplicate this Mashup and use it with my own design configurations?

Dear all,   I need to plot multiple functions in a singe graph but ideally would like to plot each of them in their own range. For example, x = 1 to 10, y(x) = sin(x) x = 5 to 15 g(x) = cos(x) x = 50 to 65 k(x) = (sin(x))^2   But if I try to plot all 3 graphs in a plot (x ranging from 1 to 100), I get 3 long curves (basically all 3 plots from 1 to 100). Is there any way I can curtail them ? I can do it using    plot_(x) := | plot(x)   if x > 1 (ctrl+&) x < 10                  | NaN otherwise    But is there a faster / smarter way to do this ?   Also, does mathcad have a plot function command (for ex; like matlab) ? I also have a variable for the number of graphs I need to show in a plot (for example, it need not be 3 like shown above, but 4 or 5 or 2 depending on user input). Greetings.   Currently, my task is to research various capabilities with Windchill. One question that has presented itself is the ability to save documents locally (outside of Windchill). For example, a book file that contains references to other files and images.   - How does one save this file and all its dependencies as XML and save it locally (Windows 7)? Thank you

I'm rehosting from production to development.  The production server has replica vaults.  Is there a way to disable the replica vaults on the development system prior to rehosting, not using Windchill interface to do it?     Here's the problem that just occurred.  Data was copied from production to dev on Friday. Weekend maintenance restarted dev and production.  Dev was still pointing to the production replica vaults and the when production was restarted it failed to restart because it thought there was an additional cluster (dev windchill system not rehosted).  One thought was to disable services from being started on the dev server, but this does not keep an admin from manually starting windchill.

Is there a solution out there to View or Import Solidworks 2016 drawings in Creo Parametric 4/5/6 or Creo View without having Solidworks or eDrawings?   Is there a plan for Creo view or Creo Parametric to read Solidworks drawings? Any suggestion?

Hopefully someone can assist. In our previous version of WGM 11.0 our users were able to move and resize action boxes to whatever monitor they wanted and resize them they way they want and it would save the location and size. This is no longer the case with 11.1. Whenever an action box is opened it is automatically put in the top left of monitor 1 unlike previous versions we were able to move them to monitor 2 and once done with them it would save that location and when it was brought up again would appear in the same location it was left. Is this possible in 11.1 M020?

Hello!   I'm trying to deal with the ThingWorx Edge ADO Service. I performed the configuration for the AdoThing.config file, specifying the address, port and Appkey - as well as the type of my database driver (Excel) and the ConnectionString. I also created an AdoThing Thing like a remote database. But there is no connection at the moment. I'm sure that I made some mistake and didn't take into account something, but I don't know what and where. Please, help.          

Good day All,   I am having difficulties getting the latest version (3.0) of the PDF Extension on an Ubuntu 14.04 server, although I have also come across this error on a Windows 10 localhost deployment.   I have run the command (sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0 libxtst6 libxslt1.1 fonts-freefont-ttf libwebkit2gtk-3.0-25) as desrcibed in the documentation for a Ubuntu 14.04 deployment.   I get the error: "Element not found or does not exist. Hi,   on TW Foundation 8.4.3 i found this error, logged in "Application logs" several time per minute. Error occurred while validating HTTP header: cookie. HTTP header value: cookie: Invalid input. Please conform to regex ^[a-zA-Z0-9()\-=\*\.\?;,+\/:&_|% ]*$ with a maximum length of 1000.   i found also a possible answer here, but it doesn't help, since the error persists. Thanks in advance.

I need a Timestamp for some of my widgets but the expression does not work anymore in the updated version 8.4.   How can i evaluate the datetime in a expression ? Or do i need a service now ?

Hello,   I am working with an array of positive and negative numbers. My logic involves such that it has to find the index value of a changed sign number immediately above. For example, in my array, if I work with "-4" it has to find the index number of "2", not "3". Similarly, if I work with "4" it has to find the index number of "-5", not "-4". Hi , I created a mashup with 20 layouts, each containing another mashup. All the mashup simultaneously calls a stored procedure from an external database (I know it's horrible but we're kinda testing here). So that's 20 stored proc calls each 10 seconds. Overall it works well, but sometimes 1, 2 or 3 out of the 20 mashups doesn't display data, and an error sign appears instead (see attached image). I'm not 100% sure but to me it seems obvious that the 20 simultaneous calls are the cause, but I haven't found any documentation on that red alert and I was wondering if anyone could confirm. Also, if this is caused by a timeout, is there any way to change the limit time ? Thanks for any help.

Using  Advanced grid ,by passing as 'edited table; as input and saved data. Secondly, again i want to save some data but secondtime that grid is empty. Then the previous edited table is taken as input for the second one.  So i have to refresh that edited table.while each step completion? How to fix it??     Thanks, Chitra

Hi Team,   I have a device connected to a remote Thing and when I delete it and try to create a new Thing with the same name I'm experiencing this error:   Failed to create device : JavaException: java.lang.Exception: Unable to create thing: DeviceThing.T : [1,018] Data store unknown error: [Error occurred while accessing the model provider.]   There are not ghost Things, the Thing doesn't exist, but Thingworx doesn't allow me to create a Thing with the same name. I found this ticket,  https://community.ptc.com/t5/ThingWorx-Developers/Data-store-unknown-error/td-p/528023  that seems to be exactly the same case as mine, but there are no solutions.   Is there any possible solution for this ? In my specific case I would like to avoid restarting TomCat, unless there was some evidence that it would solve the problem. Note: I'm using ThingWorx 8.4.2.   Thanks in advance.

I have an old 2008 tutorial on how to create an involute gear in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3.0 which is very easy to follow and use (see attached).However it is long since last time I have used it and my current employer is using Creo 4.0 and this is where the problem starts.I can follow the steps until task 6 as the difference between Wildfire and Creo are small until this step but in task 6 it says to go to  >Insert, Model Datum, Evaluate. This feature is not available (or it is moved and renamed) in Creo 4.0. Also in task 7 it says to use >Edit, Copy. This feature is also unavailable in Creo 4.0...Can anyone tell me how to do these features in Creo 4.0?   I know there is other guides on how to create involute gears but I really like this one. If anyone has a similar version for Creo however it will be most welcome.

I am having a Windchill error when I try to access the database.  The PTC logo comes up but then it times out and says "Service Unavailable".  The Windchill database is on a server and I am accessing from my PC.  We recently had a new security router installed and the IP addresses were changed.  I think this could be part of the issue but I can't find where to fix it.  If I go to the Apache server name in my browser I get the "It Works!" message.  But the log files in Windchill show the method server is not connecting.  I don't know how to fix this.  I have updated the httpd.conf file in the Apache setup folder to show the new IP but it didn't help.   Can someone please help?
