I was going to show a user how to copy features between parts using the feature operations menu when I realized it's missing in Creo 3. There is nothing in the PTC update training guide about that being removed, and a search in Creo for the menu returns no hits.  I use feature operations, often, to copy features from one model to another. Like this:  Model tab, Operations, Feature Operations, Copy, FromDifVers, Done, Pick the model, Pick the features, Pick OK, Same Dims, Same, Same, Same, OK or flip-OK, Ok or flip-OK, Done. Pick the Group Copied_Group feature, and RMB Ungroup.  

I try to bring the value to INFOTABLE by Service script but yet unsuccessful Please ask for advice on solving problems.  

Hi everyone, I am using ThingWorx 8.4.0 and have some problem. When I set visibility permission for a thing, if it will become what I think, some users can see it in menu and others can't see it anywhere? or it just like in the picture, all users can see it in menu but someone can't click in it?   I have deleted all users in organization "EveryOne".But all users, admin and others, still can see all things, temples, shape and others in menu but just someone can't click in them. I even created a new thing and then give it an empty organization for its visibility, but it still could be seen by all.   I don't know what I ignore.   Thanks.

I am doing a small top-down design so almost all the geometry at the part level is being driven by a curve in the assembly.  But, to be able to attach model GD&T datums to dims, I've had to create reference dims in the section so I can attach the datums to that via "properties".  This worked fine...except I absolutely cannot show that dim on the dwg no matter what I do.  In fact, I've noticed that sometimes you simply cannot show certain dimensions.  Period.  This isn't the first time I've seen this.   Anyone else seeing this bug?  Any Pro/WORKAROUNDS?   THX!

On the Change Request Information Page, the history tab does not show revision history of the change request.  Per the KB it appears that this can be enabled: Revision History—controlled by a preference; the default is No http://support.ptc.com/help/windchill/whc/whc_en/index.html#page/Windchill_Help_Center/ChgMgmtChangeRequestInfoPageRef.html   How do I set this so the revision history for a chagne request will be visable.  I will want to do that same thing for problem reports, promotion requests, chance notice, and variances.   Basically I want to see history if someone edits one of these objects, for example the title or description of a promotion request is modified 

I am modelling the nose cone of a rocket (Haack series) whose shape is described by the following equations: Where: C = 0 R = 49     (R is the radius of the cone) L = 560    (L is the full length of the cone) I've used a datum curve defined by the equation in order to do a revolved extrusion. The problem is that the curve will fail to generate if I set the domain of x to draw over the full length of the cone 0 ≤ x ≤ 560 . Creo will only generate the curve over 10 ≤ x ≤ 559 .   Seems like the first equation is the source of the problem because you cannot have arccos(x) for x > 1 or x < -1.0 without getting complex numbers and even just getting x close to those numbers seems to make Creo cry.   What can I do to get the curve to draw over the entire length? I tried bashing my face against the keyboard but, that didn't work.

Hello,   I have noticed that under the "Users Logged In" Monitor page that there are several instances of Administrator being logged in.   I found this page that briefly explains why (https://www.ptc.com/ru/support/article/CS261404) but it did not provide me with any guidance on how to close out of the duplicate sessions. I tried pressing the logout button in the composer, closing out of the browser, and restarting my computer but when I log back in and check there are still multiple sessions for "Administrator" on the "Users Logged In" page.   We have noticed significant slow downs on our web server because of the CPU usage of duplicate logins. Can someone provide me with instruction on how to end the duplicate sessions and prevent them in the future?  

Under the Type and Attribute management Manage Types screen, there are many data types defined. When one is selected, it lists a lot of system defined attributes and allows you to create new attributes. My first question is: How do you add a new attribute that has already been added under the Manage Reusable Attributes tab?   The second part of this is concerning Layouts. There are a number of layouts listed with default attributes listed. I can added a new 'table' to the layout with default attributes, but how do I add the added attributes from the Manager Reusable Attributes tab?   Question three is: How do you specify which layout screen is used where with the View Information screens of an object? Between different Types, the default list of layout names are different.    Looking on my existing production system, when I look at the CAD Part object type and open the various layouts, none of them have the information that is displayed in the same order as the View

here is a problem. in my design, there are 30 charts in one mashup page. But it is so squeeze and it is hard to see data in details. May I know if I click one small chart and pop up a entire chart for each.

We currently use FONT on our drawings and we have an issue with the 1, I(i) and lowercase L being visually in indistinguishable. So we are looking to use ISOFONT instead, however this has an issue with the spacing of some letters. So I would like to edit the ISOFONT to reduce the spacing between certain characters, I have gotten as far as:   1. Create new directory, add decompile_font.exe, compile_font.exe, isofont.fnt, ucore46.dll & udata46.dll 2. decompile the ISOFONT.fnt using: decompile_font.exe isofont.fnt newisofont.fnt 3. edit the decompiled NEWISOFONT.fnt 4. recompile NEWISOFONT.fnt TO ISOFONT.fnt using: compile_font.exe newisofont.fnt isofont.fnt 5. Move isofont.fnt into Common Files\x86e_win64\text\usascii   However when I re-launch Creo and try to change some text to the edited ISOFONT I get this error: Font isofont.ndx.ndx can not be loaded I presume this is a compiling error as I haven't touched the ndx file, if I understand correctly the ndx file

Hi, I got one problem. I use ProSolidOutlineGet() to get the bounding box's size. By maximum and minimum values of X, Y, and Z, I use them to get a plane and get points as starting points in ProSolidRayIntersectionCompute(). Now, I got an interference point on the surface, but I can't find any way or function to get the surface type. Can I use a point to get the surface type? Does anyone have some advice? 

I need all the point coordinates (Cartesian coordinate system) from a sketch file probably in an excell format or text format. Please help me finding a way to get all the point coordinates from a file . Your welcome if there is any other manner to get the point coordinates . Thank you in advance

Hi, I have a small issue with the fileupload widget which is occurring across a number of versions of Thingworx (8.2.4 & 8.2.8). The upload itself is working correctly but the 'No file chosen' property of the widget doesn't update when I select a file for uploading. As I say, the actual upload works fine and the file is uploaded to the correct location in the repository     does anyone else have this issue, and if so have you figured out a fix, work around?   Thanks, K  

Hello guys, I have noticed on several occasions now that depictions of cosmetic threads in drawings are sometimes buggy, especially in isometric views (see attachment for an example). Is this a known issue? And is there anything to do about it?   Greetings

Hi, so I already have a toolkit that iterate trough a drawing tables and check for table with repeat region. What I would like to do is that while going through the tables, find the one that has a certain filter. When in CREO I go to the Repeat Region Menu then select Filter and Show, I can see this as my filter: &mdl.param.name == docid   The table is always a single cell table containing my document number and would like to get it.   Anyone knows how to achieve this? I was wanting to know if there was a way on changing the color of an individual feature when you are building a part. I am able to change the color of the whole part but I would like certain features to have a different look so they are able to stand out from the feature.

I have faced a strange issue.I'm trying to migrate a Group from Workflow and Document between staging and production server with users inside and after migration wizard has done its work Group remains empty.Is there any possibility to make it done without unlocking production server.

Hi,   I see that some data table things I create doesn't have the Mashup option to view the content of it. Surprisingly, few data table things get that option. Am I doing any mistake while creating the Data Table (I am using the same Data Table Thing Template as Base thing template while creating the data tables and that Thing Template also has the DatatableEditor as its Home Mashup) ? Hi I'm looking for a way to set a textbox widget to be ignored when a value is not entered into it in a mashup.  Right now it sends a blank value to an input on a service and I need it to not send anything when nothing is entered.  A numeric entry box doesn't send anything when nothing is entered and I'd like the textbox to do the same.

How long of properties name of thing?

i need to have a dev test stage and prod environment for thingworx. what would be the best way to do this. 1) Should i have 4 separate thingworx foundation setups with separate database if so how i can move entities and data from one environment to other. 2) Should i have a single thingworx foundation installed for all and point to same database.If this scenario how shall i move entities from one environment to other.
