Hello everyone! Just want to know whether we can automate 3d modeling by customizing the creo software using JLink? Or do we need Java toolkit? Can we use eclipse ide or similar to write codes for customizing using Java API or does the Creo Toolkit only supports visual studio? Thanks Regards

Is there a way to edit a format on an existing drawing?  I have a new format where in the signoff block, we have "Signatures On File" instead of filling in every name.  However, this is for any new drawings going forward.    We also have a lot of drawings that were originally pencil drawings or done in other software that we will have to eventually recreate in Creo.  I'd like to have the option to fill in the information in these boxes if necessary.  I know I can replace the format with another but I don't want to have two formats (one with the "Signatures On File" note and one without) if I don't have to.

Is it possible to get the FIRST official CAD models for the 2019 FRC game Destination Deep Space in Creo assemblies? They're currently only available in SolidWorks assembly files, and opening them in Parametric is expecting a specific license which doesn't seem to be included with the Student version: "License for ATB SolidWorks (Collaboration_Ext_SolidWorks) is not available. ATB operations are going to be ignored."   Models are available on FIRST's site here and the top level field drawing is FE-00042

With the new release M180, we have noticed that when updating the model, the program doesn't update the drawing. This is a problem... Has anybody experienced the same? Is it possible to solve the problem? DB

Hello folks,   I have an Excel sheet in which caloric properties for real gas are calculated. One of the values is only delivered when a VB code is executed in Excel. I strongly suspect that these are in a data map of sorts which is what I'm after. Since I can't access this table (the guy who created this sheet has left long since) I'd like to "push" the appropiate button in Excel from a Mathcad loop repeatedly and read out the data in a specific cell. Does anybody know whether this is feasible?   Raiko

Hello everybody,I would try to implement a PID control over a simple crank connecting rod.The system starts from standstill and has to reach a normal velocity of 3 rev/sec. The motor has a normal torque of 8,5 Nm and there is a force of 50 N along the "piston" axis.I set the analysis as described in the attached PDF; the only difference is that in the example the motor has to fix the bar, so the final position is a fixed value and its velocity is zero. In my case the maotor continues to rotate; the desired velocity is the nominal one of 1080 deg/s and the desired position is (nominal_velocity * T).I have two problems: I don't know the right value for the PID's constants.I tried to run an optimization analysis to minimize the velocity error (intended like the absolute value of error) but I can't insert it like the goal. I would limit the torque (in my mind the motor is a brushless) inside its operational field delimited by a max value for torque and velocity. Any suggestions are welco

Hi There,   I am looking to do a 'save as' on a large assembly to allow me to change certain aspects of the assembly (replace a few parts/relocate some other sub-assy's) without affecting the production-standard assy (that my colleague is working on currently). Whenever I do a File>Save As, it says 'Mirror component **new_name_I_gave_it.asm** creation aborted', followed by 'Select parts or sub-assemblies to copy' and brings up the new name generation window, with the 'save copy' button greyed-out. As there are best part of 7000 parts/sub-assys, it seems absurd that I should have to create duplicates of all of the children as well, when all I require is an identical assembly to this, with a different top-level name (no different to doing a save-as on a word doc). Any help on whether it is possible to achieve a conventional 'Save As' would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks, Nick

Existing Answer in the forum: Add an expression widget, and set it on Expression=close();  Then you just need to trigger that expression widget whenever you want to close the browser window. By, @CarlesColl,         I tried the above solution to close the current tab by a button click, It is working fine when it is triggered from the parent window(E.g: triggered from view mashup option) But not working when I copy the URL put into the new window.     Kindly provide the solution for this ASAP.   Thank You  Regards, Janakiraman P

Hello, folks. Did Simulate come with the free student version of Creo 5.0? When I try to run Simulations it says I did not have the product license and to contact the company. This occurs both in the Creo Parametric and the Creo Simulate softwares.

Last week I applied for the 30 day Evaluation of Chalk. However, the application has been rejected. I would like to be approved by you, what should I do? I already use a personal edition, is it affected?

I have used CREO 3.0 in the past for a university course and was supplied a student license. It has since expired and I am taking another course where the instructor wants the students to use CREO 5.0. I deleted all the old 3.0 files and installed 5.0. However, whenever I update the new student license supplied to the class in the setup, it says success but the Parametric program will not respond in kind. Also, whenever I try to renew my license from the Parametric startup, I enter my username and password and it says customer not verified. Any help?

please see attached file. i am trying to use the MINIMIZE function to find both the minimum value of the absolute function and the corresponding variable. as a result this variable would be a function of the remaining variable(s). i tried this with the ROOT function and it works. not sure why it would not work for MINIMIZE function. any help is very appreciated. thanks!

Hello   I have a think-Property based on a InfoTable. That means i have some rows with a ID, Timestamp and a "value" . Example: And here the value: Now i want to create a Service to filter some rows from this Table ("QueryInfoTablePropertyHistory").   How do i have to create a Query-Filter to select only Rows with positive Values inside the value-Object? Do i have to use a special JSON-Path?   My current query is not working:   { "maxItems":20, "propertyName":"mo_Result", "query":{ "filters": { "type": "GT", "fieldName": "value.rows[0].PedalPushForce", "value": 0 } } } It seams that my fieldName is the problem.    

First time am using this 'Data filter' widget. I dont know how to use it I saw video which is given in document. There, they binding 'data filter-> query' to 'service' in thing.   Now my doubt is what should i do in service? I must write SQL query? what query i have to use?  What should i give input ?
