Hi,   I work with Creo Elements/Direct Modeling 18 on two different machines. One of them lists STL in save>file type while the other does not. The software version is the same, the model I'm working on is loaded from the same pkg.    Any ideas?   Thanks a lot!

Hi.Today, after saving it, I was uploading my assembly and drawing, but Windchill asked me to update 2 objects that the workspace decided to set as new even if already existing on the common space.After the update he asked to replace also some other files that were on the assembly and being in a hurry to complete the job, i gave it an ok.I soon realized that with that update I lost everything.By updating these extra files windchill decided to came back to the version of these files that were just copied from an existing assembly.So instead of the saved version of this afternoon (2019-01-21 15:30) now I have the assembly and the drawings that are like just copied (2019-01-16 16:46).Is there any way to try to have the latest version of these files back?Or have I lost everything and I have to redraw it again?Thank you for your answer...

Has anyone else notice or have it happen where you do a regen (Ctrl-G) and then mouse click "Automatic" that when this command is done, it does not return an active status to the last window in Creo that you just regen'd. Sometimes it is even a different software that is now the active article on the desk top.   I have also found this to happen after printing a drawing. I go to run a mapkey, but the window that I just printed is not the active window. Again sometime is not even the Creo program that is the active software but Chrome or something else.   I find that I have to mouse click on the window to activate before continuing.

Is there any way to put HTML tags into for example Label widget? For instance i need to: - put a label like "H2O" but more like chemical style (water symbol), in HTML I would use "H<sub>2</sub>O" but when I put it into into label Text attribute HTML is not interpretted - put some text with fragments in bold like: "This is a very <b>long</b> text"   The only what somehow "worked" is to put many labels one to each other ant assign different CSS to it, but it is pain.    Thanks in advance for any hints, Michal 

I am trying to create a pattern in only one direction using relations. I have read all the other post I could find about this topic and I could use some advice. The pattern increments will not be the same, I could use a pattern table but I want to use the dimensions in a relation and I cannot if they are in a pattern table. I also do not wish to create a family table of this model. I am trying to set properties of a remote thing from mashup dashboard. I can set properties using one of the following 1.Mashup only service -SetProperties 2.Snippets that can be called from custom service -UpdatePropertyValues -UpdateSubscribedPropertyValues -SetPropertyValues   All of the above have output type NOTHING.I want to retrieve the output(i.e http response if any) and display error message in mashup if service call failed due to some reason. Eg: Edge device not connected or some custom error message from remote thing's script handler   Is there any way to retrieve the response/output when trying to set properties to remote thing from service?   Note: Thingworx Composer displays error message when trying to set property from Thing's properties.Looking to implement  a similiar functionality from thingworx dashboard.

I am having issues solving a second order ODE because i need to force 3 boundary conditions, 2 for the starting point and one for the last one. I am forced to do this because otherwise the solution is incorrect so i can just obtain a solution with the correct derivative in 0 or the function with the correct value in 0. Of course if i enable all the three conditions mathcad says to me i have too many initial conditions but the problem is they are equally fundamental to obtain the correct solution. I will attach a picture also. Do you know how can i force a third condition solving a second order ODE? Or in general how to force much more conditions than the ODE order? thanks in advance.

I executed a sql query service, when i am sending the output to a datashape and trying to name that datashape, an error is displayed as "INVALID NAME"   Though, I am not giving spaces in datashape name..

Hello, I am uisng Thingworx 8.3 and Windchill 11.1. In Windchill connector there is a service called "GetCreoDataView" .  This service returns thumbnail, structure, files. Files in service consist of file name, linkHTML, URL, icon . Is there a way to show dual dimensioning on just one dimension in a drawing, without it affecting all other dimensions?   Bill

I'm trying to match the outputted .tap file from saving the CL file out an engraving process match the output gcode from Gibbs CAM. The main differences are in the start and end code. For example, the code needs to use G54, G55, or G56 offset and needs to display the program number in the start code. Is there a way to configure this in Creo NC so that it will output the correctly formatted file? Is it possibly in the config file or the engraving feature itself?

Hi all! When saving a 25MB mathcad file, Windows creates a temporary file with a name whose first three letters are MFC followed by 4 hexadecimal digits and 0MB size. When the saving is finished, it is automatically deleted. Moreover, if during the saving (which takes several minutes) the operation is disturbed in some way, it happens that the content of the original file is reset and stored in the new MFCXXXX file of the TEMP type, which, then, results unrecoverable. If you open this MFCXXXX file with a text editor, you can access the file. Wanting to recover the file, what are the changes to be made to the opened file with a text editor, and how to change its extension and then save it again with the xmcd extension? Is it possible? Currently I save the files with the name of my liking to which I add the date of the day, so that, if I lose the file, I always have the copy of the previous day. I ask the question in case I want to recover the lost file in the aforementioned way.

Hi, I am using Creo 5. While trying to save a modified profile of PDF export setting, my Creo is getting crash. See attached the error. I want to change the color setting to Monochrome and save a profile so that every time I don't have to change it again and again. Can anyone please help me to fix this issue, or please let me know where will be the default profile saved so that I can change the config in that file. Rahul

Hi, i want to create a model with a dataset of industrial plant. I have  found only the file.cvc but Analytics want also the file json. I search to do the file json by the file csv but i don't know well how i can do. After this i want to use the model that i will create with this dataset( i know how create a model by a dataset) to test it with other data to know if it predict the failure or not but i haven't idea how to do this. Someone have any advice for these questions ? Thanks. 

I am trying to remove an unwanted revision. For example: There is revision A.1, A.2 and B.1. I would like to remove B.1.The options available in Windchill are:1. Delete all iterations of each object2. Delete all revisions of each object3. Delete latest iterations of each objectThere doesn't seem to be an option to delete latest revision of each object. I choose #3 and I get an error message saying"Cannot delete the latest iteration of object(s) 'Publication Source - test ifp tag template location, B.1' because it is the only remaining iteration for revision"Does anyone know how I can remove this one revision so that the file reverts back to A.2?

I am investigating using Mass properties from Creo in Windchill, at the start of a project we want to use the calculated mass, then as we get real parts and weigh them, we want to enter this into the Alternate Mass PRO_MP_ALT_MASS and use that in Windchill, but we don't want to have 2 different mass attributes on each CAD document as we want to compare CAD mass (calculated or alternate) to an target mass attribute in the WT part.   So I have created a new parameter called "MASS" and I want this parameter to equal the value of PRO_MP_MASS or the value of PRO_MP_ALT_MASS but only if it does not equal zero. I struggling to write this and get it to work in Relations, can anyone help?

Hi everybody,   I have very large scripts (150 pages) in Mathcad 15 and it is sometimes very hard to find the error in the script. Moreover, some calculated values do not influence the rest of the calculations and I might not even notice that there is an error somewhere. Is there a value that I could read out which indicates that an error has occured somewhere in the script? Preferably, I would like to have an indication at the end of the script which shows that no calculation ended in an error. Is that possible?   Thank you for your help!
