We've been using ModelCheck in Save mode for a couple months. This more or less works the way we want except with Family Tables since the MC_ERRORS doesn't get updated on the instances. This is annoying when combined with the Windchill Gatekeeper (errors=0) - we basically have to trick Creo to regenerate the model before verifying the instances. See video below (audio may be quiet but it's there).   (view in My Videos)   Rather than admitting there's a bug in software, PTC recommended we switch to a different mode that regenerates. As I look at switching modes, the ModelCheck Interactive mode with assemblies seems to check more than just the assembly - it starts checking the components within the assembly. See image below.     Checking lower level components is very undesirable from a PDM standpoint - the objects may already been released/locked (and in theory checked had 0 ModelCheck errors when checked in) and should not be modified. Weather App with ESP8266I try to connect a DHT22 sensor by ESP82266 and send the data to the Thingworx.I tried to edit the Weather App with Arduino Uno Codes. Not sure when this happened but i noticed that the URL Image and URL Video widgets are gone in ThingWorx Studio 8.2.3 I'm guessing this is to support download and offline. While I really like the new download options for some of my use cases I'm also looking to deliver a lot of video in my experience and without URL videos it's not going to be possible, as in i don't want to load up my experience hundreds of MB of videos.   While i have not tried to hack a URL image back into an experience by editing the home.json file, there should be a way to have online content and deal with being offline. Dealing with offline could be as easy as showing and alternate image saying "xxx not available in downloaded experiences"

Has anyone figured out a reliable way to edit the Home.js in a new window either in studio or in an external editor. It is so much faster to not have to click back and forth between the JS and the view to see what all your widget names are.   I have been trying to do it in an external editor which kind of works but Studio will keep trying to over write it. Basically you need to never view the JS in Studio and might need to save in the external editor a few times for it to take in Studio.

 Does anybody know how to fix the problem that is referred to by such message: There has been an error. A PostgresSQL database windows service is already configured on this server. The installation can not succeed until it is removed. This error popped out every time when I try to install Thingworx 8.2 platform on my laptop. I couldn't find any relevant info on the google, neither could I find any residues of PostgresSQL on my machine.   Can someone help me with this please?  

Hi all,I was wondering how could I implement the suggests included in this paper (pp. 28) regarded weighted links.Does anyone have some experience to share? Maybe some asm model?I've tried build the same model of crane that's showed in the article but I just faced a problem: in a pin I have two pieces that share the same axis, so a placed a point on the axis of each component (prt), in the center of thickness, and in Simulate I put a weighted link between this point and the cylindrical surface of each componet. So i put a spring beetwen the points of each part. Here I have the problem for the system tells me that it can't exist a spring of lenght=0 (the points coincide) unless you specify the spring not with two points but with a point and a cys.Have you ever face this problem?ThanksBye

In Thingworx Navigate (logged in as admin), I have gone into 'View Part Structure Tailoring' and added 'Quantity' in to the selected attributes.   On viewing the Part Structure Tile and searching for a part number, I can see the Quantity attribute header in the table but no value appears under it. How do I get the values to show?   Thanks in Advance

Hi Developers,   I have a remote thing and a generic thing. I have done a local property binding from Remote to a Local thing. So the scenario i expect was when the remote thing's property changes, the value should be reflected on the local thing's binded property which is happening. But when i manually set that particular property of the local thing, its getting reflected on the remote thing's property also. Is this a bug or a bidirectional feature provided by the Thingworx platform?   Thanks and Regards Saran

Hello   I have several mashups using google widget (installed as default without API Key)   As traffic is increased I would like to use the customer API key but not redoo all the job (high customisation of this widget and associated data) ? Is there a solution for that : 1/ if I remove google widget extension, modify the key as detailed in documents (https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS188314&language=en&posno=1&q=API%20%20key%20google&source=search) , reinstall, will I keep widget and all associted data ?   2/ a way to modify the  installed key  ?   3/ a configuration item in the future for that extension  ?     Thanks      

Hi, I having Thingworx 8.1 with H2 Persistence Provider. While try to launch TWX, Tomcat itself not loading. In Application log, i am getting an info like "HA mode not enabled. Initializing and starting in standalone mode." .  How can i resolve this?

How do I break the cross-section arrows so they don't cross over the view? I've seen it done on many drawings but I can't figure out how. Thanks! 

We have multiple versions of cross sheet graphics and sometimes a wrong one has been placed.  Is it possible to change one that has been placed without removing the connection and starting over?

I am trying to connect TW connectivity(kepserver) with another machine that runs the composer on the same network. I can even run composer from the machine that runs kepserver. Hi All,   I've got 2 iPads that I use for showing AR experiences, an older iPad Air 2 and a 10" iPad Pro.  On the iPad Pro, the camera does not autofocus when in ThingWorx View, often making it hard to read a ThingMark, or making the physical objects out-of-focus when getting close to see augmented information.  But on the older iPad Air, it focuses fine.   Any ideas on what's happening here?  They are both running the same OS (latest 11) and the same version of the app (8.2.2)   Many thanks,   Allan

When doing symbolic math, sometimes the result has exponents of exponents, for instance   (x^2)^(3/2)   A simpler form for this expression would be x^3, but even using "simplify,max" does not change the form of the  result. "combine" and "expand" don't help either.   Is there any way to get Matchcad to simplify this expression?

1. Empty green tooltip displayed when hovering over a List Widget with Dropdown View that already contains a value selected in ThingWorx 2. Cannot remove the tooltip green arrow from a dropdown widget, even though there isn't any tooltip text associated with it   Thingworx version are 7.3.10   thanks
