3D Part & Assembly Design

While converting the drawing to PDF, I have multiple sheet sizes (A0, A1, A2, A3, and A4), and for all these sheets, I can only assign one pentable.pnt file in configuration, but the line thickness is not the same for all sheet sizes; the lines are not visible if I use the pentable setting used or an A4 sheet for A3 to A0. Need suggestion...

I am not able to drag up the green line at the bottom of an assembly tree or part features. Nor am I able to drag independent features or parts up or down a tree. I can see the "hand" when I put the pointer on the line, when I left-click the mouse the hand closes, but if I want to drag it, a red stop sign (red circle with line across) appears.Anyone an idea why this is happening? I can use the "Insert Here" option, but dragging the line is much simpler.thank you!Norman

I have a drawing with 3 sheets.  somewhere along the way the second sheet has become corrupted and the drawing will no longer publish.  i can activate/modify sheet 1 and 3 but if click on sheet 2 the program stalls and i'll have to close it out.   I'd like to just delete sheet 2 and re-create it but i don't know how to do it other than right clicking and selecting delete.  but right clicking it will navigate it to that sheet and then it'll freeze on me. Help?

I would like to be able to design tubes in Creo Parametric that will be 3d lasercut (to an angle of max 45 degrees).When I convert a body to sheetmetal, sidewalls are made perpendicular to eachother automatically.There are some workarounds to have angled sidewalls in sheetmetal but is it possible to have sheetmetal not do this automatically? I still need the unbend/bend back function in sheetmetal or I wouldnt use it at all for tube design.

I followed the PTC tutorial to assemble the piston and seal ring, and after completing the three assembly constraints required for the piston ring assembly according to the steps, it prompted "incomplete constraint"？I said I followed the official tutorial, why is the result different from what is displayed in the tutorial?Can someone try assembling it according to the tutorial to see if the results are the same as what I got?Thank you！The tutorial can be found at the following link:活塞装配 (ptc.com)

With the search tool I would like to select all the components which have for designation_1 = "CAISSON"     But I can't find the category ...      

Hey all, I've created a sheetmetal part using the extrude wall feature. I have a basic clamp half where I have a large radius bend in the middle and two tabs/flaps on opposite sides. I have done a flat pattern rep and imported this into a drawing. In my drawing I initially had a rolled bend "U" symbol when calling out my bend angle for the large middle bend. This is exactly what I want. I then increased my part thickness from .060" to .075" and the drawing now has a formed bend "<" symbol instead of a rolled bend. I cannot find how to override this or even "hardcode" the symbol into my bend note. When in my model, I cannot display bend notes/annotations (I'm assuming since the part is an extrude wall feature). I don't know how I can change the "&type" of the bend for an extrude wall feature. Any ideas on what I can do?(Unable to upload model/pictures due to company policy)

HiI wold like to have parameter whit part name.But not only name also  whit .prt  or .asm  at the end.If i made whit relations  model_name=rel_model_name i get only name.example  model name : Plate.prt   parameter -Platei would like to havemodel name : Plate.prt    parameter -Plate.prtHow can i do that. ▋

Since I updated to Creo 11 the feature tree scrolling has been very slow and lagging behind my mouse wheel and the drag bar. Is there a performance setting that can be updated to improve the usability of the feature tree? 

I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.2.0Creo 10 Distributed Batch won't go beyond "Working" statusI am attempting to export multiple CAD models to the STEP format using an embedded application within Creo Parametric. However, the process gets stuck and does not progress beyond the "working" status. Despite waiting for an extended period, the conversion does not complete, and the application remains frozen in this state.

Creo Parametric 8. When an unlocked dimension is toggled to lock, the dimension automatically changes accuracy to be 2 decimal places, and also appears to round the original value to the rounded value. This is causing large unintended geometry changes. Is there a config.pro setting or other setting that can be modified to fix this? The list of options I've already modified is below: default_dec_placeslive_dim_precision_decimals (appears to have worked for linear dimensions but not radii)default_ang_decimal_places

I am using CREO 10.  How do I change the dimensions (shown in red boxes) to be half (like the second example)?  I have looked in parameters, played with the bottom witness line, but past examples are not working.  

Hello,I have a part and its drawing. I need to make an assembly by using this part and as well as its drawing as new drawing file for my new assembly. Is it possible? Creating a copy of a part drawing as a drawing of an assembly which the original part belongs to. Please ask if it is too vague and I will try my best to clarify it.Thanks.

Hello all,Creo Version: 8.0.8.0I am having trouble with a hide layer that i created a few weeks ago. It originally worked but now it does not. I have a Layer that has fabric 2 straps on it, if i toggle (show and hide) it does not hide anything any more.  it worked when i created it.  I have checked and the components are still on the layer. I have created a "test" layer with these same 2 straps and it does not work. i have created another  "test2" layer with the 2 straps and a 3rd component and when i toggle this test 2 layer it hides the 3rd component but not the 2 straps any thought.  Thanks for the helpDaniel

Hi BenLoosli, I had created this table using assembly and included the components in it. As you can see the tube part numbers are duplicated. if i want to remove the duplicates and capture LENGTH and QTY information in only one row, the quantity of M963262A002 would become 2 and length would be doubled. Hi Is there any option to check if a model has been used in Simulate? I could think of a parameter or an icon (like if Mathcad is embedded) or similar. Background: We use ModelCHECK to check for weak dimensions in sketches. Eventually we found weak dimensions in sketches of surfaces splits within Simulate. Currently it seems one has to switch to Simulate to check for non-compliant features. Thanks, ziegi

Hello everyone,      I want to get a series of area data of a face, details are as follows:(1) the model is a square frustum, I want to get the area of the top face(Face 0, yellow face shown in the Figure 1) under different heights(distance between top face and bottom face, which is shown in Figure 2);(2) I created a plane(plane 1 in Figure 2) which is parallel to the top face, a sketch created on the plane is extruded to remove the all the entity above the plane, and then I can get the area of new top face(shown in Figure 3 and 4);(3) the plane moves along the y axis in certain step size, for example, d = 5mm, then I can get the area of top face in d=5, d=10,d=15..., besides, every time I get an area, I copy and paste it in a txt or word document.The problem is: If the height is very large and the step size is very small, for example d = 0.5mm, in this situation, I need to do the same action so many times, it’s very time-consuming and annoying, is there a way

Why am I not able to get rid of that squares in red? It says fully constrained with no assumptions. Am I missing something? All degrees are arrested and still I see the square next to part in asm tree.! FRUSTRATING!!! 🙂

Does a Design Exploration Session .tmu file capture a historical record of the design iterations within the Checkpoints even AFTER the session has been Accepted and then the models have been saved, i.e., are you able to open a DEX Session .tmu file and review the design progression, even after a Checkpoint was Accepted and saved to the models?  The testing I’ve done indicates that the .tmu does not accurately store this information but when I watch tutorials and read literature on DEX, everything seems to indicate that it should store the historical record. Am I missing something? Doing something incorrectly? I’ve attached a PDF with the steps that I executed to test/evaluate my question. Creo Version 11.0.2.0Windchill Release 13.0.2.2

Hello,After removing or moving circular cuts by using commands under flexible modeling tabs, axes of cuts remain at their old place. I know you can move surfaces with their respective axes, but I need a way to delete them rather than moving. It is not the case when you use remove as well. I tried to find those axes from layer tree but did not work either. You can create new axes where you move the old cuts/holes, yet I need the erase old ones. If the explanation is not crystal clear, I can provide images. I am using Creo 9.Thank you.

In Creo drawings - Tables with “Fixed Index” – these are for BOM’s where if you delete a component, that line in the BOM gets skipped.  My company is trying to use this, but it is very quirky.  It often reverts back to previous BOM Item numbers.  Is there a best practice doc?  We’re trying to use Region rather than each Record.  I assume someone is using this successfully?

Hi,  We are using "Isofont.ndx" in our drawings. But we need to export them to PDF with Truetype font. I can chose the option to force it to use Truetype font but the default font is "Arial" and it is too wide.  Can anyone help how to change this default setting to another type of narrower font?  Thanks
