Hello, everyoneWhen adding the "search_path" option in the Configuration Editor, if the path contains spaces, Creo+ crashes with a “fatal error encountered”. The crash results in EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION. The Creo-generated traceback log file is attached for reference.Paths containing spaces are expected to be supported. This behavior worked correctly in Creo 7.0 and is consistent with PTC official documentation, where examples of "search_path" usage also include paths with spaces. In our environment, removing spaces from folder names is not a viable workaround, as we are using corporate directories managed via OneDrive, and the space is part of the root-level folder name.As a result, this issue causes significant difficulties when manually defining paths for multiple subassemblies (up to 10 in our case) and standard components. Since I work with multiple projects daily, repeatedly locating missing components is inefficient and negatively impacts productivity. I would l
We are planning to use some AAX extensions to our global licensses PROE_DesignEssG.Is that possible and how can that be achieved fo specific selected users.
As the title says. I want to learn all the functions available to be used in repeat region filter and relation. The documentation here is very limited https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/r12/usascii/index.html#page/detail/About_Writing_Relations.html#Arguable it's just the introduction to what the relation does. But does not give full details of what all functions are available. I've seen in my company people using much more advance relations to filter items in repeat region. I took the Creo authorized course some days back but sadly the instructor kept it just on high level and struggled to provide solutions for complex filters. How can I learn more on this, something that is comprehensive and all inclusive.
Hello, I have multiple points like this : And i would like to "visualise them" for a demonstration like this : Is it possible ? Thans in advance
All, I have seen posts where family table instances cannot be deleted from Windchill when I delete entire table of the generic. Those deleted instances are still tied to the generic and cannot be deleted. I think I read something about purging the itterations below the latest version. Not sure how to do that. Anyone know how to get rid of these dead instances? I am thinking, maybe if I had the instances in session, then deleted the table, the saved each instance, that may have been the way to go? Wayne
Is anyone aware of any compatibility issues with Creo 7 (and/or later) on the new NVIDIA RTX 5000 Blackwell GPU's?
Hi everyone, Almost every design and manufacturing company uses some parts that are created by cutting some stock material (pipe, hose, aluminium extrusion, etc.) to a defined length without any other machining or other processing. Of course there is no need or sense in creating drawings for these kind of parts because the drawing would only tell what material to use and what length to cut it to. At the moment our method for handling these is by first modeling the part in Creo with any way the engineer is used to and then creating a WTPart automatically during check-in. Next the engineer goes to Windchill and adds a stock material WTPart to the structure of the new WTPart and sets the quantity of the BOM row to match with the length of the model. Here is an example of the resulting WTPart structure: This is not a great method because if the length of the part is changed, it needs to be updated in multiple places: Model, part name and BOM row quantit
I am trying to find a good way to set a collision or avoidance region away from my fixture. Is this even possible within creo, or is everything just set automatically? I know you can't add the fixture as a check surface in any of the operations because it isn't the reference model. So where exactly can you configure your fixtures avoidance regions?
Hi everyone, I have created a part with two bodies and assigned a material to each of them. Now I want to control the material or its density for one body using a parameter in the relationship. Is this even possible? And if so, how? Or can I only control the overall density? I use Creo 8.0
We are try to install CREO 11.0.5.0 version and not getting parametric folder, Its creating only two folders (Common files and Install manager), Please guide us

Hi Everyone,Software: Creo Parametric 11.0.5.0. I am working on Migration of Weblink to Creojs. Here I am having doubt in the Topic "Enabling Security Settings" mentioned in CreoJS User Guide. In my WebLink code, when I opened an html file, I will receive the below PopUp. But as mentioned in CreoJS user Guide(please see below image), I am not getting any popup for security settings(like shown in above image) in CreoJS.Can someone help me to achieve this? Note:In both Weblink and CreoJs, my html file will be called from local folder only.Example: D:\PTC\Weblink\test.html Thanks
Hey everyone,I am facing the issue that every time I create a new part file, the units are set to imperial in the model properties (first picture). I have changed the configuration file, so metric units are set as a standard (second picture). However, this apparently does not work. Does anyone know, how to keep metric units as default?I am using Creo 12.4.0.0Thanks and best regards,Julian
Where can I download this tool? I have searched everywhere and can't seem to find it. The furthest I have gotten is: ENGINEERING.com | File Downloads but when you launch the installation launcher it asks for a password... I can't find it anywhere else. Any ideas?
Creo VB API Type Library for Creo Parametric 8.0.0.0 Version 1.0Creo Parametric 9.0.0.2 The Creo API call toIpfcBaseSession m_session; m_session.ImportNewModel(filePath, (int)EpfcNewModelImportType.EpfcIMPORT_NEW_STEP, (int)EpfcModelType.EpfcMDL_ASSEMBLY, "temp", null);does not match the importing that I did by hand. I get the following error message (repeated for each feature as it tries to import the file, there are 155 features/bodies in the step file) which doesn't happen when I import the step by hand."Warning: Design intent is unclear in FEATURE_155. Use Geometry Checks command on the Tools Tab in Part mode for more information." Why does this method check design intent when opening the file through the UI doesn't? Full use case: I'd like to use Creo to apply boolean operations to STEP bodies. I've added all of these bodies to a single STEP file and would like to import it into Creo via the COM API using C#.Before getting into the code, I've conf
Just to start off, I do not believe this to be a bug or anything to do with Windchill, just that we noticed in the workspace browser. The user had changed one of their displays to something other than 100%. After that, the creo embedded browser started acting strange. The user reported that they could not click on the buttons on the toolbar, nothing was happening. This also might be related to multiple monitors, dragging the Creo session to another screen after the scale was changed to something other than 100%. Here is what I noticed: If you put your mouse over the icon, nothing. If you hovered your mouse lower and slightly right, the icon highlighted and you can click that empty space and the icon activates. Weird. Thanks to @Chris3 for cluing us in. I wanted to document for others since I could not find this in the support knowledge base. Returning to 100% and restarting Creo seemed to resolve the issue. Kind of makes sense that something gets thrown off. Note the
Creo 8, ModelCheck, Windchill 12; (soon Creo 12, Windchill 13) 1. 3D-models have layers with status "all blanked"2. Drawing layer status is independent of 3D model's layer status3. On drawings layers are not allowed. Only layers of used 3d models will be set following the simple rule: "Hide all layers but show "NoSyGeKo" or "AnSyGeKo"" (Geman: "Notizen/Anmerkungen, Symbole, Gewinde, Kosmetik", English: "Notes/Annotations, Symbols, Threads, Cosmetics"). This setting fits to 99% of all views on all of our drawings.Question: How to configure ModelCheck to bring up Warnings/Errors if this setting is not set?(Unwanted layers, blanc/hide/show of 3D layers are no options in this case, because they are independent and should remain so. We do not have Toolkit and try just to configure ModelCheck as far as possible and avoid external tools like auxiliary applications)
Hi , I have to export current model to image using Creo VB API , I have tried functionality given in VB API Example, but function thrown error of XToolkitGeneralError Would you please help me to resolve this error ?Regards,Kunal B
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.0.0we are facing issue for Creo This fatal error coming frequently(4-5 times in a day) while working in drawings. Here are the errors that I facedFatal error coming frequently(4-5 times in a day) while working in drawings.
So i was making 2D drawings when my screen suddenly went black, after waiting my pc started up again and my desktop looked funny as in my pictograms got bigger ec, then when i opend creo evrything is fine untill i open a assembly. After restarting i tried making a new part but it starts fine till i try something and then it just freezes. How can i fix this? i looked around for a solution but im not a techy guy.It freezes as soon as i select to see the planes
Here are the errors that I facedError - Altium CoDesignerAlternate parts R60, R61, C66, C65, R13, R12 were not transferred from ECAD. The potential reasons and solutions are: a) the parts are declared in ECAD's PrjPcb file but not placed on the PCB itself - in this case they need to be cleaned from PrjPcb, b) PCB variant was renamed - in this case the components should be removed from PCB and placed from schematic again.La référence d'objet n'est pas définie à une instance d'un objet. As can be seen in above screenshot, even though the "Plane Display" is turned off this plane is still visible. This is part from an assembly that I received from a colleague, and for that whole assembly as well when unticking everything in that dialogue box some planes are still visible. I'm using Creo 9
Create a system parameter for appearance and allow the parameter to be changed via relations and family tables. Very similar to the way PTC_MATERIAL_NAME works.Example: PTC_APPEARANCE (string)IF COLOR_NAME == "Blue"PTC_APPEARANCE = "Blue"ENDIF This has been a problem forever. PTC, please listen to your customers and implement solutions.
Hi, Is there a way to switch orientation of chamfer dimension in drawing? I mean the chamfer dimensions showed from model, not created in drawing. (Creo 7) Michal.
