Hi Everybody.Hope you can help me, as you have done times before.My objective is to check, once I've reduced the thickness of the Basement (from 115 mm to 90 mm), how the stress values are (lower or higher, how much higher, etc) along the Basement with a lateral force of 1000 kN.My structure is a Cast Iron Piece of 9000 kg aprox. with 8 holes, where the screw Connection is.8 Screws M56X200 8.8 and Preload of 1097298 NMy question, once I know my OBJECTIVE, how should I simulate this?I attached this file if anyone wants to try.I don't know whether I have to use the Option "Fastener" (Redifine Model>Connections>Fasteners). Hi all,please refer to attached files (Prime and Mathcad versions).I have a 3 functions:1) Ha(s,...) - a filter function (not really important what it is)2) M(s,...) - magnitude of Ha(s)3) D(s,...) - derivative of M(s)When I plot M(s) and D(s) with s replaced with iw, I would expect to see the derivative function have a value of 0 when the magnitude is at turning points but this is not the case.  Can you spot my error?Thanks,D.

This is probably a simple question for someone with ACL experience. I am not one of those people. I am looking to create an ACL script that would allow for an author to add "id" attributes to specific tags. As an example the elements needing IDs are <proceduralStep>. These ids would have a specific format, "stp-xxxx", where the xxxx are numbers. They do not need to be sequential.I can do this outside the editor using XSL, but I would like to make it a function in Arbortext and make it part of the authoring process. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I know that this works as a one-by-one command:oid_modify_attr(oid_caret(),id,"stp-0001")How do I loop over all <proceduralStep> elements and apply a new unique number? Additionally i'd like to make a menu for this command to be called from, but at the moment i'd just like to be able to make the looping work.Thank you in advance for any assistance.Tom Furst

Hello,I imported an OBJ file into Creo. It seems too much tessellated, and the worst thing is that I cannot apply material appearances. I am using the find function to return solutions for a system of three equations. I understand that the solutions returned can be different based on guess values and tolernace of the solver. currently I cannot get the solver to return the correct solution. I am checking the solutions by using the outputs to recalculate one of the given equations.Is the find function not the correct way to solve for these variables? Should I be using arrays, or Max/Min of function. I am very new to Mathcad, and I am trying to use it to eventually input a matrix of ID, and Delta to return wall thickness (Ha) for various sizes.Thank You, and sorry for being a Noob.

Hi,I have a traceability problem.So, I have two segments: SM Custumer Input Document and SM Requirement Document; this segments are rispectively made of these two nodes: SM Customer Input and SM Requirement.These nodes have a 'Decomposed To' relationship, but when I try to trace SM Customer Input to SM Requirent the message below appears and the traceabily isn't allowed.Operation status:Application does not know how to trace between "<SM Customer Input,Imported Requirement>" and "<SM Requirement,Functional Requirement>" for items 6926 and 6922Do you have any idea how I solved my problem?

I would like to split up a single vector into a table. I would like to take e.g. each time 8 data points and put the next 8 at the right side thus constructing a table. Apparently I am overlooking something evident could someone help me out? Thanks in advance (MC15)

Cannot get the function to return anything but -8.   There is an SPR 4887879 on this but I still get the same bad results after updating from Creo3 m30 to m100, then again to m110. Called during visit action, I am using several other proDimension functions with good results, so I'm confident my arguments are legit.  ProDimension **dims = (ProDimension**)data;ProBoolean CanRegen;status = ProDimensionCanRegen((ProDimension*)dimension, &CanRegen);So my questions:1.  Has anyone got this function to Work in Creo 3?2. When there is an spr related to code, I imagine you should recompile after your upgrade? Hello,I am having trouble getting a solve block to solve a set of three equations. Error message is nondescript and I am not getting anywhere getting it to solve. Any help appreciated.

In our line of work we need to have shrinkage added to the models added to the die.There always is a concern that shrink does not get included and costly consequences would result because of this.At the tail end of our feature tree the shrink is added.  Recently we have started making volume checks of models prior to adding shrink, and this adds to the likelihood of not saving the model with shrink.Today I discovered a mistake that I made in not including shrink into my die.  Thankfully in this case I discovered my mistake in simulation, but in other instances it wouldn't be this apparent.In thinking this through I really don't know of a way that it would be visually apparent in my die that shrink was included.In our old CAD software we could make a change to the color and it would become a feature item.  What we would do is change away from the default color after shrink was added to the model.  If the model didn't have shrink it had the plain color, if it did have

In our Windchill system we have File Name equal Number, but the Name we want to equal our Creo parameter called Title. Our parts and assemblies have a parameter called Title which drives the accompanied drawing title block. our dilemma is the following:   Drawings cannot contain relations and we would like to set Title = PTC_COMMON_NAME for the drawing so the Title shows contend in Windchill. Hello,I have converted a MathCAD file from an older version of MathCAD (where it worked beautifully) to Prime 2.0. In the process of converting the primary program that calls multiple sub-programs stopped working. I thought I had successfully fixed all of the errors, but now the whole program is outlined in red and MathCAD indicates that there is an error "Unknown Error: mpl%_exception". Does anyone know what this means and how I can fix it? It seems as if other errors are the result of large programs running in MathCAD. Is that the case here? Input appreciated,Amanda

I am trying to make a template for my upcoming electrical examination. I am calculating the voltage drop in af transmission line and I would like to use either a matrice or a table to make it easy and eliminate the risk of faults.I have added a screen print of how I am doing it right know. I would like the fourth row in my table to be the sum of the above currents, but in the opposite direction. Is that even possible?Another thing I would like to know is if it is possible to use get the value for the area that I have marked with a circle?If needed I will upload the file to.

I have a model (compressible flow through o r i f i c e s in series) that utilizes a solve block to find the mass flow and pressures.  It works great for any single point analysis. I then tried to feed it multiple flow areas as a vector and haven't gotten it to work.  It's slightly unique in that I have an IF inside the solve block. I have tried to vectorize everything and rearrange the IF, all to no avail.PDF and 3.1 file attached.P.S.  I know that I can rework this to use the solve block as a function and call it that way to repeat calculations.  That's just not what I'm after today.P.P.S This is a dumbed-down version just to demonstrate the problem.  No need to correct my physics as I know they're off.Basically, I don't think Mathcad likes this IF inside solve block when trying to solve for a vector of inputs.
