Has anyone ever approached the challenge of setting up a "Read/Only" user when Integrity does not have a "Read/Only" ACL structure?

Hi I want to use the "on error" function to assign a value after an error occurd, however it seems that the "on error" function is not able to cope with an undefined variable, see example. In this case it is obvious that there is no sollution, however I would like to continou with the value 0 (or whatever) if no solution can be found. Can somebody help me how I can tackle this problem?I have also attached the example.

I have carried out a few design analyses with Pro Mechanica and understand that the following steps need to be executed to analyze any part. Please correct me if I am wrong below : -   1. Design the part. 2. Open Mechanica application from the menu. 3. Define loads and constraints. 4.Define material properties (SS, graphite, etc) 5. Hi,Customer Business case Scenario is like this :1.      Customer wants to Create a Process Plan for a Single part•        Where Sheet is having art number say 49-001•        When Cut operation is done on 49-001 in assembly line its output has new part number 50-001•        When Bend operation on 50-001 in shop floor its output has new part number 51-001•        When Paint operation is done on 51-001 in shop floor its output is new part number 56-001Hence in the above scenario, Parts are not a Assembly BOM where you can allocate assembly to Process plan and use BOM Part allocation for this business case.In order to achieve this you need to use “Operated on parts” functionality and hence accordingly you need Work instruction showing the Operated on parts.Which is not displayed in Work instruction OOTB in 10.2 M030Is there an

Windchill 9.1 user here; I'm trying to find all parts, drawings and assemblies created by a user that is no longer working with our company.The relevant objects' information pages show Created by: his name (deleted).But I can't seem to be able to form a search criteria "Created By" that uses his name...  Because only active users are allowed to be selected with the find tool.Please tell me if this is solved in 10.2, as we are upgrading soon.

hello,I would like to connect a device and make updates to a Windchill instance via Thingworx. As a mechanical engineering student with little experience in webservices, I'm struggling with basic understanding of the Thingworx platform. So any clarification would be appreciated much.My questions are:1. Am i able to use all functions of Thingworx with the online Composer?2. I have read that there is a Thingworx.war file in the download section. Since I can't find it there, I assume that i have no access rights so far(?)What is the difference between installing Thingworx locally and the online Composer?3. Can I import all data resulting from Thingworx in Windchill?

Hi all,   I have a little Problem with my pcf file. When I use it everything on the drawing is fine but it is turned 180°. If I use MS_PRINT_MANAGER instead, everything is fine This is a Problem because printing A3 and A4 I can normaly take the package of paper and clip it. In my case I have to turn all A4 drawings and then go to Clip the papers This Problem is only with size A4 with layout Portrait. landscape is working fine. One of our engineers is having difficulty modifying a cable length.  He watched several online tutorials in which the video shows you can just click a length dimension in the _MFG file, but every time they attempt to change it, they receive the following dialog message:"Can not modify length of flattened cable portion."We're completely green when it comes to cabling and were hoping that this would be a simple modification.  Are we just missing something obvious?  We're in Creo2.0 M200.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hi,Is there any way to set Favicon for Thingworx application?Currently its showing default icon (setting icon) for every application.

HiAfter endless errors with DTI we finally had to deselect the MSoffice integration from the installation.Now we can work using the Explorer integration, and we se no system errors anymore.The issue we see now is that people update documents from DTI without checking them out first - they can edit them and save them - but it is saved to workspace only. And they do not notice this mistake.This is giving us problems - and updated documents are lost.So how can we prevent users from doing this?Others documents control systems we have (Like Documentum) will set a file as read-only when it is downloaded to workspace and not checked out.How can we do something like this? As we have removed office integration it looks like "Prompt for file overwrite" and "Prompt for Checkout and Checkin" doesn't work for us.Best RegardsSoren Gylden

The migration of the production server from RCS to database repository is done. The staging server needs to be migrated. The available migration document http://support.ptc.com/WCMS/files/143564/en/MKSDatabaseRepositoryMigrator_2009SP7.pdf was referred for the process.Can the same document be referred for the migration of the staging server as well?Thanks,Sujith

Hi All,I use Arbortext editor 6.0 M060, I can't set the promptnodtd to on because  i can't find it in the options list.It should be set to on by default, but  when I open a document without a doctype declaration, the editor open it  in free-form XML mode, without prompting for the dtd.Anyone can help me?thanksSonia

Hi,I am using English OS and wated to change the Creo Language to German (Germany).Using ENV  PRO_LANG = Germany i can see Creo opened in Germnay but only i can see the change in UI or menu to Germany.
