Hello all,Creo Version: 8.0.8.0I am having trouble with a hide layer that i created a few weeks ago. It originally worked but now it does not. I have a Layer that has fabric 2 straps on it, if i toggle (show and hide) it does not hide anything any more.  it worked when i created it.  I have checked and the components are still on the layer. I have created a "test" layer with these same 2 straps and it does not work. i have created another  "test2" layer with the 2 straps and a 3rd component and when i toggle this test 2 layer it hides the 3rd component but not the 2 straps any thought.  Thanks for the helpDaniel

Hi, I'm using an Advanced Tag of type Derived to perform an AND between two boolean tags. It is expected that if one of them is Unknown because the PLC is disconnected, the result will be 0. If I use only the Derived Tag, the result is shown as Unknown in Quick Client. If I use a Link Tag to copy the result of the Derived to another boolean tag, it shows me the value 0 which is the expected value. Is there any way to get the value 0 without using a link tag?

I'm opening a Project from the backup folder while offline.   The Project opens and is exactly what I want to run in KepserverEX6.  I go to Runtime and select Connect, and it reverts back to the original Project.  What am I missing? I've seen something about Runtime uses the default.opf file to run.  I don't see a default file.  The original file that it keeps going back to is Simulation Driver Demo.  

 

Why are these config.pro locations different.? How to understand them simply?  Why I do not see all the options to pick from?

Hi BenLoosli, I had created this table using assembly and included the components in it. As you can see the tube part numbers are duplicated. if i want to remove the duplicates and capture LENGTH and QTY information in only one row, the quantity of M963262A002 would become 2 and length would be doubled. Hi,  We are changing our drawing format to change the layout.  Below is my VB code to set the drawing with a new format. The code only half worked. The new format could be applied, but the old format stayed.  I had been searching up and down and try to find if there was an option of "replace" but I couldn't find anything.  The online VB help about "IpfcDrawingFormat" has no help at allCan anyone please help? Hello everyone,      I want to get a series of area data of a face, details are as follows:(1) the model is a square frustum, I want to get the area of the top face(Face 0, yellow face shown in the Figure 1) under different heights(distance between top face and bottom face, which is shown in Figure 2);(2) I created a plane(plane 1 in Figure 2) which is parallel to the top face, a sketch created on the plane is extruded to remove the all the entity above the plane, and then I can get the area of new top face(shown in Figure 3 and 4);(3) the plane moves along the y axis in certain step size, for example, d = 5mm, then I can get the area of top face in d=5, d=10,d=15..., besides, every time I get an area, I copy and paste it in a txt or word document.The problem is: If the height is very large and the step size is very small, for example d = 0.5mm, in this situation, I need to do the same action so many times, it’s very time-consuming and annoying, is there a way

I have an OPC-DA server on which i need to expose a number of tags to a remote network.I want to use KepWare to transition from OPC-DA to OPC-UA. How is this done, and using which license / suite?This should also support writing data from OPC-UA back to OPC-DA server. In other words:- source: OPC-DA server- Kepware: connect to source using OPC-DA client- Kepware: provide an OPC-UA Server- target: clients can connect to the OPC-UA server and read/write tags from/to the OPC-DA server through Kepware   

Why am I not able to get rid of that squares in red? It says fully constrained with no assumptions. Am I missing something? All degrees are arrested and still I see the square next to part in asm tree.! FRUSTRATING!!! 🙂

Hi Mathcad Community, I’m working on a problem involving a box cross-section. I need to plot the shear flow distribution q(y) along the height (y). The plot should be linear in the flanges and parabolic in the webs, but my current plot is a step function and doesn’t match the expected values. Can someone help me redefine q(y), and provide the correct Mathcad function to plot a continuous shear flow distribution?Thanks for your help! 

Hello everyone, I'm new to Kepware and I'm trying to connect around 50 channels, each with one device, all using the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix driver. Each device has around 300,000 tags. When I try to start the Runtime, the application seemingly times out and fails to initialize. Is there any way to optimize the application so that it can start under these conditions?  ThanksGuilherme 

I am preparing a technical procedure document using PTC Arbortext and need to insert three SVG images on single page. However, I don’t see any option to adjust the height and width of the images within the stylesheet.I have tried using the <graphic> element but couldn't find a way to explicitly set the dimensions. Is there a way to resize SVG images in Arbortext using FOSI or XSL-FO? Any guidance or examples would be appreciated!

I want to present results in a table I created.But having the variable name showing when I want to display the results is really not convenient.Anyway around that other than hiding the name with a white box? I mean...It's Mathcad...  Not Paint... Thanks

Hello everybody,I set up the graphics_library_dir config.pro line to customize the Appearance Library in Creo Parametric 7.When I go into the aspects, the personal ones are all dark and the bookcase does not show any aspects.The customized folder and sub-folder structure is exactly the same as the standard files that are in Coommon Filles etc.Is there a way to set a different one? (see images 1, 2 ,3)   Matteo

Hello,After removing or moving circular cuts by using commands under flexible modeling tabs, axes of cuts remain at their old place. I know you can move surfaces with their respective axes, but I need a way to delete them rather than moving. It is not the case when you use remove as well. I tried to find those axes from layer tree but did not work either. You can create new axes where you move the old cuts/holes, yet I need the erase old ones. If the explanation is not crystal clear, I can provide images. I am using Creo 9.Thank you.
