Hi Folks,I think I have an easy question.  I'm trying to transfer MCAD 15 from an old laptop to a new one.  Does PTC allow this?  If so, what do I do?Thanks for your help.Mark

In Mathcad 15 and earlier, there was an inverse temperature unit (actually a post-fix unary operator) for /°F and /°C.  These operators would convert a temperature to the desired units and then strip the units off.   i.e.  if T:=1100°F, then T /°F = 1100 (no units)If I convert a Mathcad 15 worksheet with this construct in it to Prime 3.0, I get the /°F operator/unit in the Prime worksheet and it appears to work correctly.However, this "unit" is not on the Units drop down menu or the Operators drop down and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to type this unit/operator in Mathcad Prime 3.0.  I've tried using T · "/°F" to get the string literal and then removing the quotes and setting the Units label, but I get an error that this has to be a scalar.Anybody know how to do this?  I can't find it in the help system either - it is silent on /°F. I have one record, that was migrated to Windchill 9.1 years ago.  It is just now being modified, but it gives me an error when I do check out and edit, then check in.  "The Value for attribute Comments violates constraints defined for this attribute."  So there is a value entered in the Comments field it is "Part number: 23379G006, G008, G020", but when I do check out and edit, the Comment field appears blank.   How can fix this?  Can I go into another area of the database of this particular record and just clear out the comment because it's having an issue with it?  We need to edit record this record.

Hello, I wonder what's the difference between a technical surface and an aestethic surface, the only thing I found was:"The technology has encompassed two main fields. Either creating aesthetic (class A surfaces) that also perform a function; for example, car bodies and consumer product outer forms, or technical surfaces for components such as gas turbine blades and other fluid dynamic engineering components." We have multiple documents spread through multiple contexts that we have to use in our day to day work dependent on what task we are performing.   Is there a way to favourite these documents or locations so I can easily access them through Windows Explorer with Desktop Integration?

Hi all,Trying to see if anyone in the community has experienced a similar issue... Using either Arbortext 6.0, or 6.1 [32 bit or 64 bit] latest builds, I get an [A11514] Unhandled Exception error out of the blue. There is no apparent workflow that causes this except perhaps time. It happens sometimes when starting the application up without opening any files. It always happens when open for extended amount of time. I have an open case for this but no resolution in site.Seems like a memory issue or perhaps something on my system conflicts with Arbortext.Anyone experience similar issue?

Hello every one,I am having a difficulty on Arbortext, I would like to keep the content of a table together but when I generate the PDF if the table is at the bottom of a page it splits the content. I already tried some modification on the stylesheet (keep, indivisibility) but even when I change the different levels of priority to set new rules for keeping content together, it does not change anything.Do you have any clue to solve this little issue?Thanks,

I would like to plot directly from a function I've written in Mathcad 15 (MC15) to plot data across values of one parameter, input as either a range variable or a vector, but am unfortunately unable to make this work.  The function, Tsrfc() calls a solve block in a fashion similar to the quicksheet Parameterizing Solutions, and like that example includes units.  Tsrfc() is validated using a thermal analyzer application, but currently works for only one value of insulation thickness, tinsl.  Within the MC15 Area named Geometry examples of attempts to implement tinsl as a range variable [error message: This variable must be a scalar or matrix] and as a vector [error message: No solution was found.  Try changing the guess value or the value of TOL or CTOL] can be seen, temporarily deactivated by a leading underscore, _.If plotting directly from a call to this function in a worksheet is not possible, then I would like to call the function in an in-line program, populati

Once I open a part and swipe your mouse over a plane creo about 5sec needed to highlight this level and to demarcate again. Therefore, can not be used. Large Assembly can be opened easily and move. Problem only occurs under Win7 (Professional and Home Ed.), In WinXP it runs with the same system very well. My system with 6GB Ram and Quad 2,8GH should suffice. hello Folks,the first MC15 sheet (find_1) has a solve-block which doesn't compute. The second (find_2), with a slightly different definition, however does. Can anybody explain why this is the case?Tanks in advanceRaiko

I'm currently developing a new APP template using only Javascript/FOM. In the past, we used specific counters like f or g to count page numbers or footnote references. The reason those counters come into handy is their behaviour when a page is reformatted multiple times as they still count correctly. I want to avoid using legacy functionality whenever it is possible and tried using a global JavaScript variable like template.myCounter to count footnotes throughout the formatting process. As a ordinary global variable (like 3B2 Script or Perl Variable), incrementing it during formatting, will just add up, if an element is reformatted multiple times. Therefore a page with a single footnote that is formatted 4 times, would result in template.myCounter+4 instead of +1.What would be the best practice in those situations (footnotes, page number)? Using counters with the formatting.evaluateShowString() function? Does the FOM provide any information about retries?

Is there a way to export reports in Integrity, Just copying the report seems to work for some of the reports which use normal recipes. But when we use relationship recipes a simple copy of report may lead to incorrect structure. Is integration of Excel with Integrity is the only option?. Please let me know if there are any other alternatives?.

I'm trying to get a macro in Arbortext Isodraw that copies the path and filename of the active document to clipboard.I've tried combinations of copy and path and StripExt but it usually ends up in copying the text as an element, instead of to the clipboard.I might try to do a text log that outputs the active doc path and filename, but it would be nice if there was an easier way!

I'm using a Given ... Find solve block in a function.When I call the function with an argument, sometimes the result has a positive sign, sometimes negative.  Mathematically it is correct, but I can't figure out why it's giving sign changes, and I only want positive results.The seeded guess value is positive.  If I seed the guess value to high to try to sneak in to the solution from the high side, the function fails frequently.I tried adding an inequality inside the solve block (R_guess>0 in) to try to force a positive result.  The function fails all the time.Looking for suggestions to get only a positive result from the Given ... Find function.
