I am a recent convert from MathCad 15 to Prime 3.0. In the attached Prime 3.0 worksheet, what is the correct formatting for stating if a variable is not an answer (NaN) to set a variable to one value, and if it is an answer to set it to another variable?

HiI'm trying to compute soil pressure resultants from soil pressure and depth vector.The problem is that the resultant vector should have fewer rows than are in the depth and in the pressure vectors.The solutions should be made in a way that it works for n-layers.Thank you for help in advance.

Is there a way to raise each element of a matrix to a power without having to do it manually each one?

When I double-clock to view/edit a source file (ex: .cs) in PTC Integrity, it launches notepad.Notepad does not show line numbers; so, I would like to change this,I have not been able to find wher to change this.Thanks,Mark

I am trying to assembly a spring with Dia0,7mm wire dia of 5,75 coils. The first and last coil pitch is 0,7mm and other 3 coils has 3,07-mm-pitch. I cannot assembly it to the subassembly with flexible varied items. I used relation for to keep constant of pitch however during assembly it cannot be regenareted. To all,We are doing testing on Creo3 and Windchill 10.2. When we make a change and try to check it in, not upload, in some cases we have a failure. In the event manager window, if we go to the conflict management information we get the following:Under the Description it says "Missing descriptor"Initially we were using IE8 as our embedded browser, so we change to chrome. The problem went away for me, but someone today was testing, made a change and tried to check the part in, again not upload, and he got this conflict now. I had set him up for the embedded browser to be chrome before we even did anything. But for some reason, he was not able to successfully check in a change.Any help as to what this means would be helpful.Dennis

Has anyone received this message? If so, how do I resolve it? We are using AE 6.0 with Windchill 10.1 M040. A user opened her AE this morning and received the message above. The error message says to clear the cache in order to connect to Windchill. She has done this but is still unable to work. She cleaned her workspace as well. Do I need to go into the actual cache folder and remove the files? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi all!     In proengineer wildfire 5.0 when I selected a feature with right mouse button and then pressed edit, it showed dimensions with a black shaded background.Picture bellow:   When I do the same thing in Creo 2.0 there is no shade on shown dimension and the dimension values are poorly visible. As far as I know, vertically-stacked fractions are always displayed in Mathcad equations. Is there a way to display fractions in "x/y" format? This would be helpful for powers with fractions, e.g., x^(y/z) in large equations with lots of powers.

I am having difficulty finding a simple way to create a swept or blended surface with multiple unique trajectories. The beginning and ending sections are both 3D curves (do not lie within plane). The required trajectories are also not tangent or normal to these curves at the interfaces. Below is a simplified example with two ellipses as the sections. I've been doing these types of complex surfaces by knitting multiple boundary blends. For example, below I could create four separate boundary blends with tangency constraints at the interfaces where guide trajectory curves are shared, but this quickly becomes tedious. Hello,I am currently looking at combined heat transfer (radiation - convection - conduction). When radiation is considered, the differential equation becomes non-linear, and thus I figured using MathCad would be great for solving the DEQ as a function of parameters. As a note, the text I am using/refering to is: Thermal Radiation Heat Transfer 5th Ed. by Howell & Siegel, Chapter 7. This chapter is mainly dealing with numerical solutions and setting up the equations, but I would like to know how to solve them using MathCad.Attached is a worksheet and a few pictures of the example problems I am trying to solve, in which there is a graph showing the solutions. I am hoping I can get Mathcad to solve the equations as a function of parameters.

Hello all,When I set a transparent material to a part, if I display that part in wireframe I can't see anything because edges have also a transparent color. Is it possible (config.pro option) to tell Creo that I don't want materials to affect edge color in Wireframe mode ? My isometric image is not showing when I convert from a .drw to .dwg. Attached is what I get. Does anybody know why this happens and how to fix it?

Hi all,OK, so I have a multi part assembly,a nd i'm pulling it apart for illustrative purposes, explode mode. And I've pulled this part that way, that part this way, etc... Oh, darn, i pulled a part a part that shoudl've remained attached.. Hello!My problem is the following:As you can see, whenever I create a solid part or an assembly, it looks black. I figured that it might have a relation with the Appearance Gallery, which all appears black as well. I've tried to open the diferent files of the different appearance galleries (default, global, appearance . dmt ), but it didn't work. I also tried to edit each appearance, tweaking the parameters in the dialog box, but it stays black.Do you know how it can be solved?Thanks for reading the post and answering it as well if you can.
