Help!I am trying to solve a set of simultaneous equations (25 variables) and I am not getting the results I am expecting. I have compared my MathCAD solution to bothe actual results and a PSPICE simulation.I have distilled my problem to a much simpler example which I have enclosed and I cannot determine why the results do not match.I have respresented the circuit as a simbple resitsor divider then added a simple low pass filter. With a frequency of 0 Hz (s=0) or a DC operationg point, I have represented the capacitors as an open circuit (Rcap = 1 / C*s). Since there is no current through RR3 or RR4, I know the results should be the same but with only RR3 in the equations, the results work, but when I add RR4, the results do not match.

Can someone please explain to me why Mathcad Prime 2 cannot find a solution. I did the same in Mathcad 15 and had no problems. If you add units this makes the situation even worse for MC P2 i.e it complains that it cannot resolve the units. Have I overlooked an otherwise obvious detail?Regards, Mark

Hello, I am trying to develop a piece-wise model. Normally I would just use a matrix with i+1 and i. In this case however there is a system of equations that needs to be solved for each piece. I was using the 'given' and 'find' operators for the system of equations but I can't figure out how to do integrate this process with a step-wise procedure. Please find attached my file. I solved the first few pieces by hand just to illustrate more clearly what I am trying to do. Thanks!

For solving this simple differential equation I used ODE solve block , but when it comes to define the solution parameters , I face problem making MATHCAD understand them !!!I wrote the solution in the attached file and it can be easily solved by hand , but I wonder how MATHCAD does it !Can someone please check this and solve this simple differential equation for finding the deflection of a beam ?Thanks in advance....

I have a boat which is supporting an umbilical (cable) - which is supplying the electrical power and communications to an ROV (remote operated vehicle) which is several hundred metres below the surface of the water. There is a bit of a twist to the problem - because the ROV operator wants to attach weights to the umbilical (at location number A - over maybe 50m of umbilical length) - and he also wants to add small buoyancy modules (at location number B - over maybe 50m of umbilical length). The ROV operator wants to do this - in order to isolate the ships motion from the ROV - so the shape of the umbilical will be an "S" shape (rotated through 90 degrees) - when looked on side ways.I decided to approach this problem as a "chain" - with a series of links (with each link having its own individual weight to allow for the situation where the umbilical has additional weight - location A (lead weights) - or buoyancy blocks - at location B). Hello Everyone,I am working on S1000D Standards. I have create some Hatch Patterns (view the iso file attached).When I use these patterns it would be fine. Once I close the file and again open the same file I get the preview of the hatchings (view the attached jpeg file).Could any one please suggest how to get rid of this problem as I would be using this patterns daily.

Hello, is there a way to import assembly ONLY with layers that are determined in default template? Let´s say IGNORE all layers from step/iges and use only our company layer settings. Notes:1) Customize layers VALUE=IGNORE during assembly import doesn´t function. I tryed it and it imported all layers. 2) Deleting of imported layers (even through macro) is time consuming. Hi all,I am goint to make xy-plots of three functions f(x), g(x) and h(x). The function h(x) depends of g(x) which depends of f(x).I would like to set up for which values of x each function should apply e.g. f(x) for x =A-B, g(x) for x=B-C and h(x) for x=C-D. How do I do this? Is it easier to put the range on the functions or on the plot?I am using Mathcad Prime 2.0.I hope you can help me out.Thanks in advance.-Ronnie

I am starting a drawing from a drawing - SaveAs - lot of notes and other things that don't need to be redone.I then add the new model and set it as active.I have a BOM with a repeat region. For a lot of the other parameters in the drawing, I just erase the reference to the old model (usually :27 or something like that) and then when I press enter, the information from the current model (the one that is set at active) shows up.Is there a way to do this for the BOM, else I have to delete it and bring it back in.Thanks,DaleThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hello,i have a problem with plotting A2 vertical - A1 vertical and A0 Vertical on a hp610 plotter.The system doesn't rotate the vertical sheet. After removing some variables in the programm, Mathcad still behaves like a donkey not willing to surpass 5000 iterations creating new vectors <1000 entries long. The latest error message is about "accessing protected memory" indicating "corrupt memory". Does this refer to physical memory? My configuration is 3 GB used memory with 32 bit W7.Is there an easy way to get back som flexibility, using larger matrizes?thanks

Hi all, I am new here and I am not sure if this is the right topic to post under. Nonetheless, I was trying to write code that generates the coefficients of a quadrature amplitude modulated signal. The equation of a QAM signal is given below.From the equation above, a and b are the coefficients which come from a set as shown in the image below. Also, a and b together comprise all possible combinations of the numbers in the set.M is the constellation size, for instance, 4-QAM, 64-QAM. Therefore, an example of a and b for 4-QAM would be as seen below.As you can see, the maximum value is +/- sqrt(M) - 1 and all possible combinations are shown. Restating my question, I would like help in writing a function that would generate these values for me. It is quite easy to manually do it for small values of M but obviously for values of M like 64 and 1024, it would be quite difficult. Thank you in advance for any assistance provided.
