Hello Community,i need to untrimm some surfaces. I try the extrapolate function in the import data doctorand get a good preview of the untrimmed surface but i can not keep it.Is there a trick to remove a trimcurve from a surface, maybe inside the step file?I use Creo/Elements/Pro with ISDX.Thx for any help,MichaelThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I had to replace an object in an assembly that was a reference for the basis object of several patterns (a rod through a hole, which is then axis patterned to generate the other rods). The definition of the root objects of the patterns each need to be updated, but Creo will not allow me to "Edit Definition", "Edit References", or do anything else to any pattern member. It will only allow access to the pattern itself, which dosen't need updating and is not wrong. I am thus unable to regenerate the assembly. I cannot delete and remake the pattern, as this will break an inordinate amount of other references. How do I get into the base pattern members to fix the referencing problem?

Attached find a worksheet with three different routines to draw a circular frame around an RGB image.I have no explanation why the second and third routine are over 100 times slower than the first, which uses an auxiliary routine which is called three times.I would have expected FrameImg2 to be a bit more speedy than the other two because the if condition is only evaluated once and the i-loop is only triggered when necessary.Anybody an explanation?

Hello,I'm attempting to analyze the torsional rigidity of my frame in Creo; however, despite my analyses converging, I'm getting obviously incorrect displacements.The rear is constrained to restrict translation in all directions.The torsional loads at the front-upper suspension points are set to 130 lbf, acting 9.0125 inches from the CG. This equates to a torque of 195.3 lb-ft. Now, here's a (rather hilarious) fringe plot of the displacements in the system:As you can see from the picture, my frame is crumpling up like a soda can, with a maximum displacement of 36 inches, which happens to be the smallest I've achieved so far.I'm assuming it's constrained improperly, but after attempting several different schemes, I've decided to turn to you folks for some help.What are your thoughts?Thank you.

This is a problem I stumbled upon writing a more complex routine (http://communities.ptc.com/message/197514#197514) and was able to cut down to the attached simple programs.Can anybody explain whats wrong with Test2()?Why is the else branch ("otherwise") not evaluated when the first "if" is triggered??Inserting that dummy line as in Test1() "solves" that problem, but whats the reason for this?

Hi everyone, I am programming a Newmark's Method that involves 3 masses. During the process I need to fill a matrix that represents how the stiffness vary along time, and well at that point I have a problem. I don't really know how Mathcad solves de flow of the iteration, I mean, I don't know if I can ask it to do an operation with a previously calculated value, but I need to do it.The error is "this value must be a scalar" all the variables involved in that "if" are scalars so I don't know why it's not working.I really appreciate your help. Hi, I'm trying to create an annotation note in the model. Hello eveveryone im trying to make a fixture to clamp a component to. I have a part model of the component and want to nestle this in to a billet. Is there a way I can put the model into the billet then remove the part leaving me a cavity of the part so I can machine the billet. I have 3 seats of Creo, but can only access 2. 2 were installed a while ago and the third was just upgraded this week from WF. The new seat has a "Creo Essentials 1" license, and the 2 existing seats retain "Creo parametric" licenses.   I am using a flexnet license server on a seperate machine with floating licenses accessed by 3 machines. I installed the new license file, but I cannot open more than 2 instances of Creo among any combination of machines - it apparantly does not recognize or know to use the "Creo Essentials 1" license   The error message shows: "Creo Parametric": 2 seats in use, 0 available "Creo Essentials 1": 0 seats in use, 1 available     Any help or tips to solve this would be appreciated.   Matt

Hello,I have been trying to create a 3D dimension for circular/cylindrical features. Im actually using Creo Elements Pro 5.0. I'm using this feature.Insert > Annotations > DimensionI need to create the dimension on a pin once it has been assembled, so I can attach a datum to the dimension. Creating the dimension on an spherical features works pretty well but I didnt have any luck with cylinders. In the image below it is shown how I put the dimension on the red surface (the sphere) but I can't do the same for the blue one (the cylinder).This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hi, I am trying to solve a system of 3 equation by iteration 'n'. The system of equations is solved over a range 'x'. There is convergence to a solution over a certain part of the range of 'x' but no convergence over the other part. I believe the exponential term in one of the equations is generating a number that is too large for mathcad to handle. Is there any way to get around this problem? Perhaps some reworking of system of equations to modify the exponential term (logarithmic scale)? Or is there another way I could go about solving this system of equations? I converted an old Mathcad 12 template to MC Prime 2 see attached but for some reason the solve block is not returning a solution. Can anyone see the problem - is it something to do with units or has the solve block been set-up incorrectly for Prime?Regards, Mark

I use mathcad 15 M020 to quest the limitation of:(1+2^n+3^n)^(1/n), n-->infinityand the answer should be 3, but in mathcad it seem can not calculate it.and I try it on the Prime M010, false too.Why? and How should I solve this problem?My pc system is Win7 ultimate.

I need to align a circular object relative to an axis and two planes. I need it to be certain distances off of each of the two planes, but otherwise on axis. In other words, I need it to be a coincident constraint in the X-Y plain ONLY, while it is two independent distance constraints in the X-Z and Y-Z planes. The axis is moving vertically and horizontally as the design evolves, so simply setting things manually via other flat surfaces is insufficient.Is there a way to specify a specific dimension for coincident restraints in general? Or is there a good way to accomplish this in specific?
