I have defined variables for phi and delta. I used these variables in a function which came to the correct result. I used them in another function right below and was given the wrong value. After substituting the variable with the actual value, I got the right answer. How do I define the variables correctly for more than a single function? FIle is attached. Please advise.

Hello all,I am in MathCad 14 and have two objects on the screen. One is a variable 'n' and another is a 1-by-n matrix where n is the value that the variable 'n' takes. How can I have the matrix resize automatically to whatever the variable 'n' takes? For example, If I choose n = 3 then the matrix should be 1-by-3. Any help or direct syntax would help immensely. Thank you.

Hopefully this is an easy one.I have a parameter driven series of holes. I then mirrored them (so there doubled). I would like to display #X holes in the note on the diameter dimension on the drawing where # is the value of a parameter and I can just say both sides. Hi all, we have used the Requirement Solution for some years now (stated with the 2007 solution) and recently updated to I10.2.For a maintenace project I am now asked to Re-Import an updated Word-Document into a 3 year old Integrity Document that was originally imported with the 2007 Solution.The Document does not include an attached "source-document.iif" file as this "process" was invented later.Does anyone know a way to easily generate the a IIF file of the current doument content which I would attach manually afterward; so the re-import would have something to match against. I assume that the file is generated temporarily during a gateway export process anyway.Or do I have to create my own XML-report template THX in advance

I have a pattern of some parts (subassembly) of packaging.The 2004_1002_2399<1177_0000> was changed out in a family table from the generic that had 2005_1002_2399<1177_000> in it.When I open the new instance, the parts was not replicated in the second group of the pattern.Is this typical?Do I have to make a column in the family table for all the patterns? Hi allI had seen a nice idea on Wensday night, and I am trying to duplicate it, but I am unsure just how to do it.Basically it is adding a note with a parameter to the corner of the work space within an assembly and part work space, kind of like a drawing table on a drawing, so that it is fixed regaurdless if you zoom in or out.Now I know how to add a Note annotation with a parameter, and I can place it on the work space within an assembly, but how can I fix it to the corner and fix the size regaurdless of the zoom. it was in a demostration on setting up the config.pro file, is there a setting I need to add? Hi AllMyself and the design engineer attending a user group session on Wensday night at the company who covers our PTC support, and we recieved the latest burn of Creo 2 M030We hadn't stepped into Creo 2 F000, as we had just got Creo 1 working satisfactory.So I have been trying to set up Creo 2 today.One issue, when I select the floating module NC-PRODUCTION-SET and save the config file, it won't stay active the next time I launch, I have to reselect every time, we didn't have this problem with Creo 1.Also, I have set custom ribbon and saved it in my start directory, and set the option to load this to yes within the config.pro, now if I leave it named creo_parametric_customization.ui It will work, but if I set it to creo_parametric_admin_customization , as instructed to do, it won't allow me to load the floating module for production machining.What do I have to do to have the floating module set active every time I start Creo 2ThanksPeterThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Co

I would like to write custom Java code which executes menu the functionality File > Publish > HTML File... on multiple files at once.To do so I need to find the Arbortext code which is called when File > Publish > HTML File... is triggered by a user. Attached is what I have, I just want to numerically calculate position of a bouncing particle (elastically) in a 2D box at constant speed. Anyone can let me know how to overcome the problem that prime does not allow unit in x and y axis in the 3D plot? And does anyone know how I can make an animation of the trajectory of the particle in the 3D plot?And would anyone suggest how I can achieve what I have done in the file using different approach? such as a better way to write the program or something with less programing. I have an assemlby of ackaged components.I am trying to clearly show the contents of the package with in the box for assembly.The first image show the box with display style set to Hidden and the tangent edges set to Dimmed.The second image show the box with display style set to Wireframe and the tangent edges set to None.I am wondering if there is a way to hide the hidden lines of parts (internal lines) yet show the parts themselves in a way such that they are still in the box? I have an engineer trying to rename an assembly and we keep getting an error.Error: Cannot change the identity of object because the new identity is not unique.However if you do a search there is no 174555 anywhere within Windchill and there never has been. Trying to Install Mathcad Express in Windows 8 RP. So first I try the Mathcad 15 trial, but installation tells me I am running XP without SP2. and aborts.Is there some way round this problem, I realise W8 RP is not fully developed but I need to have access to a lot of programes in Mathcad13, which I run on Windows 7. My laptop which I can dual boot for 7 or 8 is getting a bit long in the tooth and is due for replacement but I have delayed replacement because I wanted to keep use of Mathcad files, I am retired but act as consultant for my old company, but cannot jutify expense of Prime for occasional use.I was hoping Mathcad Express would allow me to run my old files on a new machine, but thought I would try it first.Any suggestions would be welcome.

I have mathcad 2000. The resource center provides three programs that perform the three elementary row operations on a matrice. So its not to hard to do the algebra performing the elementary row opwerations (one at a time) on a matrix to reduce it to row echelon form. Of course none of that is necessary since all you need to do is type rref[M] = (where M is the name of the matrice) and mathcad will automaticaly solve the system. But as a challenge I would like to be able to use those three row operation programs to perform several operations at once. For example suppose I want to multiply a row by a scalar,interchange two rows, and add the scalar multiple of one row to another, all at the same time. You can do this on a TI 89 calculator and it is so simple. Any suggestions?

I've installed Mathcad 15.0 (M010 [MC15_M010_20110622]) on my PC which recently has been migrated to windows 7 Enterprise (Version 6.1, Build 7601: Service Pack 1) and I can't get rid of some issues.1. If I place a X-Y-Plot (or any other plot) on a (new) worksheet and try to change the traces format (via context menue -> Format -> Traces) I can not see the list of traces, just some empty space on the dialog window.If I select another tab within the Formatting window then Mathcad freezes. An arror message occures ("Warning: An internal error has occurred. Please save your work and exit.") and I have to kill Mathcad with Windows' task manager.2. Range variables behave strange. I can define them and use them for calculations. But if I want to see the values (e.g. 'x=') then there are only two placeholders shown.I've alread repaired and reinstalled Mathcad. I also tried to start the installation by "Run as administrator" and I also "Mathcad15WixInstaller.msi" only.No success so far.C

Hi,The tool starts few units outside the boundary to be machined when a milling process is initiated. It goes few units out at the end of the process.Is there any option to make the tool to stay within the region to be milled.I am not using a complex milling. Hello folks,does creo parametric 2.0 also run on windows 8? If yes, what I' ll need for it?

I know I've seen this before but for the life on me I can't seem to find it.I want to search for a particular .prt & see all of the .asm & .drw places it is used.I used to be able to do it in Windows XP search but we are now using Windows 7 & it dosen't seem to have this ability.I'm using Creo Elements/Pro5 on Windows 7 Pro.
