I have a model that consists of an imported feature. The model is all individual surfaces. I want to solidify the model. Does anyone know if there is a way to merge all the surfaces together? Hello,when i look up a value from a table the answer always has parentheses.is there something in Mathcad other than vlookup where i can lookup values but w/p parentheses. please see attached mathcadsheet. The user pick a beam size, then i would like to be able to read its root beams from column 1 and 2. Also i would like to be able to look up other values as well w/o parentheses. Thank you all!

I'm looking for the value of X as the pressure changes from 1 bar to 400 bar. I only know how to use a solve block for one value of P but need a value of X for each value of P. Can anyone out there help me out?

Hi,is there a way to display the full value of an processing instruction. Were using processing instructions with many attributes and the arbortext editor prior 5.2 is displaying the full tag, but the newer versions cut them off and puts three points at the end. I have currently now clue how to activate this in some way?thanks in advance for any ideasAndreas

I managed to install MCD v11.2a on a new Win7 computer, and almost all seems to be working OK so far. One of the scripted components not working is one that I find quite handy - a "File Selection" button from Richard. This routine is attached.I attempted to install per instructions, which has worked on XP machines. After copying the file as directed, when I tried to register the "wshCommonDialogs.ocx" file in the DOS window, I got an error msg (see attached image). Anyone know if there's an updated file or procedure to fix this?Lou

I saw that there is this new thing called precision lms where they can do online training courses. i also read that a group can be opened and i can monitor the kids progress. how do i do that? it seems like im supposed to have a "teacher" account, how do i get one of those. thanks,Itzik

When using family table instances within an assembly, the assembly requires that the instance be checked out in order to perform a save. The instance is somehow being modified, perhaps by dependencies, or otherwise. Once the instance is checked out, and the assembly is saved, the instance is no longer a part of the family table, and becomes a stand alone part. This is causing major issues with family table versions if the instance then gets checked in.I have created a video to demonstrate what is happening as an example: http://communities.ptc.com/videos/2206The S741.prt instance disconnects itself from the family table when the assembly using the instance is saved. During the example I've only done an edit definition, without changing anything, in order to save the assembly. I cannot figure out why the behavior to modify any of the parts used in the assembly is happening, as nothing has changed.Both S740.prt and S741.prt are a part of the family table generic VOS_BODY.prt. I've tried a save as, and restarted both Mathcad and my computer to no avail. I've also removed the web control that is in my worksheet and that didn't change anything either. Hey: I cannot edit features of a part when I am in an assembly. I just switched over from Wildfire 5.0 to Creo. and did not have this problem in wildfire schools edition. Any ideas?

Trying to get an image to show on the inside of the cover page, this image will need to change depending on book published. I am in styler and using the sma portion of the program. Do I need to change the ufe:smainsidefrontcoverpage ? Under gentext, i have add the markup to use productgraphic and have also tested ufe:SMAproductgraphic. In my ditamap I have a productgraphic listing and have the href set to the graphic location. Nothing seems to show up unless I insert the graphic directly onto the ufe:smainsidefrontcoverpage.any help would be much appreciated.Bryon

Hi everyone,I'm currently working on a Mathcad document that requires iterations at some point to solve for a value, so I decided to try and use solve blocks. the only problem with this, is that I use several range variables. I read online that you can trick a solve block to work with range variables if you define your range variables as functions, but one of my parameters relies on the sum of a range variable. Does anyone know if it's possible to get this to work?Thanks for your help,Talina

Hello everyoneWe did a Windows patch update on test server and after the patch update, everything is working fine except we are not able to upload anything. The error I am getting reads like this: An error occured while uploading the file. Please contact your administrator. Error: [object Error]Java update is not a problem. Even then tried changing the preference to browser upload but still the same case.Other thing is, After the update the backGround method server log started stacking up like anything with a speed f say around 500 mb an hour. no users are active on this server.

I'm new to Mathcad / Mathcad Prime so please excuse this if this is a very easy solution. I'm attempting to work a physics problem which has a range of answers based of a range of values for VsubF. When I work th solution for a single value I get the answers I expect. However when I work the range function my Delta equation (marked with stars on file attached) only gives me a single value instead of a range as expected. Is there a better way to work this so I get a range of values for my Delta equation and then also my Av equation? I attemped steppiing VsubF using 20,30,...200, but running into some issues there as well. Thanks for any assistance.Tyler

Using Creo Elements/Direct Modeling Express, I want to use a part in multiple assemblies and when I change the part, I want the change to show up in all of the assemblies. Having trouble with symbolic equation manipulation. Everything looks OK until I try to use the "solve" keyword to flip-flop a dependent variable with an independent variable.Stumped. See attached (v11 & v15)

Hi All,I'm trying to migrate from Pro/I 3.4 to Windchill 10 M020. Till now, everything was good except when I tried to start data mapping. The ildataloader command won't run. Gives java.lang.ClassNotFoundExceptionI verified the MAIN_CLASS location and there's a class file under <ILMigration>\codebase\com\ptc\migration\bin "ILDataloader.class"One thing which I notice is MAIN_CLASS points to com.ptc.migration.bin.ILDataloader, however the original location is <codebase>\com\....Does this causing any problem? Any environment variable do we need to set?Any help would be great.Thanks,Chris

Hi all. I have a model that calculates heat transfer coefficient. It is supposed to and does most of the time, return a numerical value (an integer) for the heat transfer coefficient. However, sometimes it will return a complex number, e.g. 20 + 5i, instead of an integer. What does i stand for in Mathcad and how can I get the model to return an integer?

I am trying to find a way to find the 20 first roots of the following equation:cotan(x) + a*x + b/x = 0where a, b are parameters.A Newton-Raphson method seems adequate but I have no idea how to code it into Mathcad.I should mention that I'm a new to the Mathcad world and I have for the most part no idea how to write blocks and other non--trivial things in MC.Also, I am using Mathcad Prim 1.0.Any example on how to implement a mutliple-roots solver would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

I mentor a FIRST FTC team. I am a beginner when it comes to Creo. We are using Creo Elements/Pro School edition on a Windows 7 laptop. I have downloaded the FTC 2011 KOP.When I try to mate to elements of the kit of parts, I select the Placement tab, and attempt to select a face of one part to establish a constraint with another element. As soon as I select the face, my screen becomes filled with lines (see attached picture) and I am unable to continue. Any suggestions?
