Hello. I stumbled randomly on the following:It seems that Mathcad defines atan and tan^-1 differently. Look at the attached picture. I thought that atan is the same as the inverse tan but it seems that it is not the case. Please, clarify this for me. Shouldn't atan and inverse tangens be the same definition? 

I have a Thing with some properties from RemoteThings.The type of the 'IndustrialThing' property is Thing.Manually, I can set the value to 'ANOTHERTHING' if I want to, but I want to set it through a service using code. I've tried the code below, it gives no errors, but it doesn't work.  var params = { propertyName: 'IndustrialThing', propertyValue: 'ANOTHERTHING' }; Things['MYTHING'].SetPropertyValues(params);   

Every while, when trying to access support.ptc.com it results in aBad RequestYour browser sent a request that this server could not understand..This happens just before signing in.In the console I see this error:GET https://support.ptc.com/appserver/common/login/ssl/login.jsp?dest=%2Fappserver%2Fcs%2Fportal%2F&msg=1 400 (Bad Request) What can I do?

I have project where I need to take a lot of labels for mashup from SQL.First, there are configuration mashups to create questions and their config.Then, there is mashup where customer chooses their setting, and radio buttons with questions depending on his are presented.I use for this radio buttons, and connect labels with reading text from SQL querry. Unfortunatelly, it means ca hundred SQL calls to read every data for every label. It takes time, >20 secs. And I'm looking for something more optimised, where I would call ONE SQL querry to read data, then split data from it to every label. Thought about storing whole SQL querry in some infotable inside properties of Thing, then services could read this data - but if two users will be working simultaneously, it can happen there will happen that infotable will be set with data for user A, then for user B, then both will use data of user B - so user A will have wrong datas.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 10.1 and Datecode with CPS M010   Due to business needs, we customized a button to rename documents. In the code logic called by this button, we temporarily set the session user as an administrator through SessionHelper.manager.setAdministrator, and then execute the renaming API - WTDocumentHelper.service.changeWTDocumentMasterIdentity, but the code execution reports a permission error.According to our understanding, the administrator should have the authority to rename the document. So we are very confused, can you help us solve this problem? Hi,Iam Successfully able to Integrate Git with Code beamer by adding Webhooks but when I'm committing the changes or committing new files every time I have to create a new webhook as it is not showing in the code beamer. Can you suggest some workarounds to resolve this issue

When importing Thing(Database or Mailserver) entity, configuration details are also getting imported.Tried different import options(disabling overwrite property values etc..) but existing configuration is getting replaced .Please let me know if it is possible to not disturb existing configuration.

I believe that I need to use sub-select on my report.I am creating a report that counts the number of released parts per ECN.The report needs to list attributes related to subtypes of Parts in my organization.It causes multiple lines since for each subtype there will be a new column for the attribute...I understand that If I use sub-select, I can run the query and concatenate the result in a way to have the attribute in a single column.

I had an issue I opened with tech support. The overall sourcing status was showing No AML but I did in fact have AML/AVL data for a particular part. It turns out the OEMPARTAXLCONTEXTLINK table had no entry. Still investigating as to how this occurred but this query showed the extent of the issue. I will close this thread with a summary of how we think it was caused. I need to move an assembly to a new file location (new tooling project). When I save a copy and rename the assembly, none of the parts or drawings move over. I don't want to rename the parts, because the current part #'s are established.Is there a way to move over a full assembly with parts and drawings without renaming parts and moving each part and drawing individually?Currently using Creo 4.0 I don't have access to Windchill, but the company does have a Windchill licenses if needed.

Version: Windchill 11.1 Use Case: Replace the primary content of an existing creo drawing object with another .drw fileDescription: Is it possible to replace the primary content of a creo drawing object with another .drw file? We have drawing objects which just contain a pdf in WC11 but need the primary content replaced with actual CAD data from WC10.  The only other options I have at the moment is overwriting the current object in WC11 or renaming the object from WC10 so there is no naming conflict. Neither have a desirable outcome as I don't want to lose the current history of the WC11 object and I also don't want to create similar duplicates

Hello community,Here in 12.1.1.0 Windchill workgroup manager. there is some model, that is saved in local computer. I opened that model in SolidWorks. It is completely savable file. SolidWorks have PTC Windchill tab, I used "Save to workspace" option to save in workspace. the file was saved and i did checked in to Library container.After checking in, I again checkout and open in SolidWorks, i see filename (read only) on SolidWorks window. when I am saving. it is not saving into workspace, and it is giving " this file is read only".I checked my access; I am having full control access on all the objects in library.I need to what is the root cause, why the files are changed to read only?Is there any preference for this cause?
