Hi there, is there a way to deactivate "auto check in" in Windchill or in Creo 10?The thing with check in comments is, that our engineers tend to be lazy, when it comes to make "meaningful" comments.I tweaked the "custom check in" dialogue on the Windchill side to run some test on the comment, before it is accepted ( e.g. minimum length where "bla bla" does not count). But since there is this "auto check in" button in Creo, those lazy engineers can easily circumvent those tests. I already asked a similar question herehttps://community.ptc.com/t5/Customization/disable-quot-auto-check-in-quot/m-p/358999#M7254But the "solution" was not working for me. My hope is, that from Creo 3 to Creo 10 (and from Windchill 10 to 12) some things have changed ( and improved 🤞 ).

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: Mailer fails to send email about queue over thresholdDescription: I am able to send emails just fine using "email page", but I am getting an error when the Windchill tries to email system status updates to the same address. This is something I just noticed has never worked since our 12.1 upgrade from 11 (new server, new company policies) so I'm not sure where the issue actually is. Any ideas why it's failing?

Hi all,Been using the Kepware Configuration API for a few weeks and am trying to create tags where I customize scaling values (need to divide value by 10). I try to set:"servermain.TAG_SCALING_SCALED_HIGH": 100 The tag gets created and 201 created message is given, but it still shows the default scaling value of 1000.  Wondering what I am doing wrong here and what else I need to do to get the scaling to set correctly for a Kepware tag from the API.  Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Hi All, We have recently carried out some testing on a system which has generated quite a bit of data on a spreadsheet. A calculation was set up to prove the original operation, but since there is now data, our client would it processed. Is there a way to obtain data from an excel spread sheet (one column), put a single value (one cell of the column), process via mathcad calculation and then export the cell to another spread sheet with the result variable desired?

Two users have confirmed this and I have seen this before years ago I believe with change objects. The user was creating a new part request object. Two were created as a result at exactly the same time and two workflows were spawned. As I have seen this before with other wizards, was there a fix or should this be filed as ticket to PTC? I cannot say if the user clicked something twice or rapidly. I will try to repeat but system should not allow multiple objects to be created if the user gets click happy waiting for response.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.3.0In a sketch, the function to "Convert Selected Entities to Construction" is grayed out for some entities but not others. I used to be able to convert any sketched entities to construction. Edit:  I don't know why this topic was created in the "System Administration" category...

Version: Windchill 11.2 Use Case: The assignment of the users from a different group to a task when a no users are present in the particular group identified through Approval Matrix.Description: How is the task assignment possible to a different user group if no users are present in the group identified through the Approval Matrix ? (The object type referred to here is Audit Schedule, X is the group identified through Approval matrix and has no users, the task got assigned to the users of the group Y. How can this be controlled ?)

I have a question regarding the deletion of a feature in Creo Pro Programming.I have created a parameter called BOSS and I am trying to run the below code.IF BOSS==YESDELETE FEATURE (initial number 😎INTERNAL FEATURE ID  123PARENTS = 2(#1) 6(#3) 4(#2)ENDIFI am able to delete the feature irrespective of the value I give to BOSS Parameter.The questions are as followsDoes Creo Pro Programming allows me to delete a feature depending upon the parameter value?If the above question holds good what is the correct syntax to use the delete command?Suppression is happening if I try to use the else or add statements but I want deletion.Thank You,

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: Corporate LDAP server details not accepted by the PSI. I am using WC 12.1.2.0Description: HI Expert.I am installing WC 12.1.2.0 with corporate LDAP on Linux server (RHEL).We are trying to enter the LDAP details of our corporate LDAP server but somehow PSI is not accepting the details and giving some error saying please check the username and password.We have cross checked details with LDAP team, and they are saying username and other details are correct.Can someone guide how we can connect to the Company LDAP? Are we missing nay configuration etc. I have attached error below for reference. Note-I have installed OpenDJ but later on we decided to use the LDAP server of company which is integrated with AD.I am stuck in initial installation step so no PSI logs were created yet.  

Hi, I have observed that as of now there is no reset feature available on the tracker created from template but it is good to have that.Example-We have created a tracker using a existing template and made some configuration changes on the inherited tracker, but they we want to reset those changes to match the configuration with the template, it is not possible with a single click at the moment.It will be good have a button to reset the trackers created from a template. 

I've been stuck here trying to install the student edition of version 11.0. Anybody know what's happening?

I have some old custom symbols that I have used throughout the years. Did something change in Creo 9 as to how the parameters are edited/filled in? If I load the template custom symbol, I do not get the various parameters to fill in (or at least I am not aware of their presence). When I copy and paste a custom symbol from another drawing to a new drawing, I cannot find a way to edit the value of the parameter. When I go to redefine, this is the name of the parameter shown.   \fillet_leg1_OS\x\fillet_leg2_OS\ value on old: 4X EQ

Hello, we have a problem in a company with workflow using PTC Creo and Windchill.In attached assembly there is a mechanism of a theoretical machine. We want to be able to check for collision in different configurations during design process in different machine configurations. So we've created snapshots of those mechanisms using mechanical constratraints and checked in whole assembly. Since than there is no possibility to move with any parts at all. We can't activate any of snapshots while it's not checked out or continued. We need have to move mechanism during design process while it's checked in. For example we create new tool that will hang on paralelogram and during design process there is a huge need to always check if there are collisions and stuff around for safety purpose. Why we don't wont to use continue options and check out. those model are in it's final state and there are no changes needed to apply to them so data has to stay in it's initial shape before checkin
