Hello community, I have a use case where the users wants to be able to export an asset structure using either the export widget or by sending an email. In the end for both options I will create a CSV file. From the export widget and from the WriteCSVFile service to be able to attach it to an email. The issue is that I have structures in several different languages.Portuguese, Swedish, French and others. What I noticed was that out of the box, both the export widget and the WriteCSVFile service provide quite strange encoding for some languages: "Associação" for what should've been: "Associação". I found this PTC support article which provides a fix for the export widget by using the "IncludeBOM" option of the widget. However, I can't seem to find a way to do the same with the WriteCSVFile service.There is some setting that is described in this PTC support article.But I don't know if I can or should use UTF-8 for everything as some languages doesn't play w

I believe someone suggested look at this in the past to remind users of tasks or things. I am not looking for the banner message which I used for system announcements. I am looking to have the yellow banner message ping users perhaps when they log in. I am not sure that's a triggerable event. Is this documented in Customizer's guide and if so, under what search terms? Is there a better mechanism? I can see this working to appear when the user logs in or at a certain time of the day. I am holding just sending an email in my back pocket. Example:  "You have X tasks in your queue that need attention and XX tasks are past due"  

Our scenario is we have two contractors delivering a vehicle in the same Product.  We will refer to them as CONT1 and CONT2.  CONT1 is building existing vehicles and CONT2 is building new Model Year.  Probably 90% of the data is common between the vehicles. The goal is CONT2 can see EVERYTHING (no real issues); however, CONT1 cannot see anything NEW CONT2 creates.  For example, we have a WINDOW at REV.C and CONT2 revises to REV.D.  Now, CONT1 can see REV.C, but not REV.D.   Any ideas how to execute this?  Should I use Security Labels or possibly something like Edit Access Control and use folder control within the Product?   (Not sure our Admins have that setup yet for us).   I was thinking I could move REV.D to the CONT2 folder or possibly set a Security label for that REV.D file. Thanks!

I was learning to use MathCAD with a trial version. I had a Excel sheet in my Mathcad file with some calculations. Since my trial license has expired, now I am unable to open the excel sheet. Could you please extend my trail version to recover my excel sheet or is there other ways to extract this excel?

We regularly use image files on Creo drawings, we import them from the downloads folder. When we check in the file in Windchill, it loses the image because it is on the client machine. Is there a way to import a image file into a workspace so it will check in with the drawing?       

I have a Sheetmetal part which I created using revolve option. I use unbend option to make a flat representation of the profile add 2 bends at either ends of the part and also couple of holes. Then I use bend back option to retrieve the original bend profile. Unfortunately, the profile created by the bend back option is not the same as the initial profile. This is shown in the attached pic-black line is the bend back profile and green line is the original profile.1) Why does this happen?2) Can I get back to the original bend profile?3) Is there another option to create this bend profile and add the necessary bend and hole features?NOTE: I use Creo 8.0.4.0 

Hi, I'm having an issue where the vectors in the image below con't calculate into a result. The second image is the one where the results should be. I'm using Mathcad 20, so it's pretty old, and the original author of the workbook isn't around anymore. I can't see anything glaring and there was definitely a result from the workbook at some point. If anyyone can help it'd be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Tom

So is it possible to do or use the AWS IAM as Active directory with the windchill. I tried to find some details over the google but didn't get any conventional details. We have a thing template that is used as the base template for 30k devices.  We just had to make a change to one of the thing shapes that is applied to that template and that shape is part of an external extension.  I can validate the extension in Composer in a matter of a few seconds.  However, when I try to officially import the extension it will fail after 10-15 minutes with no specific error in the application log.  My suspicion is that this is a thundering herd issue with all of those things attempting to be restarted simultaneously. Is there a way to stop the devices, perform the extension import, then throttle the starting of those things in batches?

Hello , In thingworx 9.3.8 version i am unable to find the + icon of the datashape  where we were able to create the datashape out of the result  after execution of any query or script , If i try to create the new datashape  then i will not get anything created in the fields definition .Kindly help me out with this as soon as possible , if this issue is not solved then i can;t fetch any data to the mashup. Below is the image where you can make out the difference what the problem is!  Regards,Shree 

Hi Mathcaders,I am alittle bit confused on how to use lookup on mathcad prime 8. problem statement:I have a table of containing Steel section name and elastic section modulus as given below: In my work, I have to calculate an elastic section modulus and match with values in the table and choose the profile with the nearest upper value.  My trials:1. I used the following expression: It only compares the first digit. The answer is always AZ12 until I increasesd the calculated value to more than 2000.  2. I used the following expression ( I got it from the internet)The answer is the same as before.  Any help please?   

I am running into issues where after I publish a project once or twice, I run into a "uh oh publish failed" error that can only be avoided by creating a new version of my project either by save as or export/import. Is there a way to avoid having to do this every couple times I publish? Has anyone else run into this or is this just my computer? I have sketch that where I control a particular angle with a parameter. The angle is between one of the default datum plane and a sketch feature. I am trying to vary the angle from 0 to 210 deg. When I try to update the angle from the initial 0deg, the model doesn't redefine automatically upon regeneration. Initially the angle is measured in anti-clockwise direction, but when I try to update the angle to anything more than 180deg, in addition to the regeneration error, the angle is also measured in clockwise direction, completely throwing off the sketch. I cannot go from 0 to 210 deg in one go. If I increase the angle first to 50deg and the to 100deg and then to 150 deg and then to 200deg, the angle would still be measured in anti-clockwise direction(the way I want it), but if I go from 0 directly to 200 deg, the angle would be measured in the clockwise direction.
