I downloaded Mathcad Prime 11.0 Student Edition and was activating the license when I got a pop-up message saying to try again later due to server connectivity. After trying again, I got a message that I had reached the maximum number of license requests for the product. I have also called support and was instructed to come here. Please help!

Hello, in order to support a "trivial change" (ex: correct the description of released object), we are willing to programmatically create a new iteration of EPDMDocuments (resp. WTParts). This has 2 targetskeep the "released" iteration unchanged, usable in BOMs (using filter)the new iteration get a status "trivial change" allowing user to modify it until it gets validated. The first attempt was to checkout/checkin the "released" iteration, but for some older data, some attribute values are not allowed anymore by the datamodel and we get an EPMNonOverrideableConflictException during the checkin operation... Creating iterations directly seems not to be supported by PTC, The PersistenceManager store the iteration with a new creation date (instead of using the creation date of the revision). Does someone already has a similar case ? Or an Idea how we can handle this use case ? 

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: We have 2 versioning schemes, numeric for NPD and alpha for production. With promotions items can be auto revised when promoting to the production gate, which in turn moves them to production released. A requirement I have is to only enable the revise action within a change context. A promotion is not considered inside of the change context so the auto revise is not working if I have the "Revise in Change Process" preference enabled.Description: How can I auto revise the objects moving from the development state to production state (and ultimately the production released) within the change context? I cannot find anything in the API to revise in a change notice/activity similar to how a promotion can revise objects.I considered creating a promotion inside the cn workflow but I am unsure if that will work. I also considered trying to turn off the preference in the promotion workflow then turning it back on though not ideal. Is there a way around thi

Hello all,   A question about drawings. Why hole axis are always orientend horizontal/vertical independently the way we created the holes ? On the capture below as you can see hole axis are always horizontal/vertical. I would like to have axis orientend like the view on the right but on the left view. Is it possible ? Thanks

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: I was updated the CPS patch from 12.1.2.0 to 12.1.2.11 on windows, Post running the setup.bat files the install went ahead and stuck at 28 % for almost 1 or 1.5 hrs and doing nothing? What can be done...? I have cancelled it but again it is saying the installer will abort after the Windchill Service Pack is complete. I am totally confused can someone guide what is the best way in this situation.Description: check use case

We are using KEPServerEX 6.17.240.0 on 2 redundant VMs to connect to several Siemens S7-400 and S7-1500 PLCs via Siemens TCP/IP and OPC UA protocol respectively. After Reinitializing, I get the following warnings for each OPC UA connections: Date Time Level Source Event05/09/2025 07:32:22 Warning OPC UA Client CHANNEL.DEVICE | The Publishing Interval for device has been set by the server. | New interval = 1000 (milliseconds), Requested interval = 500 (milliseconds). The publishing interval is set to 500ms for all devices on the KEPServer. I was shown by one of the PLC programmers that the PLC's intervals ("sampling" and "sending" intervals) are also 500ms. Most of the connected PLCs are programmed by different people so I find it unlikely that all of them set the interval to 1000 instead of 500, so I suspect the error on my side. I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.13How would I know whether or not a change to code in my codebase requires a restart of windchill to deploy? For instance, some customizations/changes can be deployed when windchill is up and will take effect and others require windchill to be down. So how do I tell whether or not deployable code requires a restart?

Hi Community, I have a use case where: I open a new mashup from within another mashup (e.g., via Navigation). In this new mashup, the user should enter some values. I would like one Text Field to be automatically focused when the mashup loads, so the user can start typing right away without clicking into it. Has anyone implemented this? Is there a recommended way to achieve auto-focus on a widget (e.g., via binding, service call, or JavaScript) in ThingWorx Mashups?   Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Version: Windchill 12.0   Use Case: Have a scenario where a Change Notice Template would be useful where specific tasks can be automatically assigned to certain roles or people. (I have WC 12 as the version, but will be migrating to WC 13) Description: Looking into creating change notice templates where we know who the assignee (and reviewer) should be for certain (or sometimes all) tasks. There isn't a way in the template to set assignee/reviewer.  

If there is a way to display the values of variables inside a block in mathcad 15?

This file is in MathCAD 9, but I'm experiencing the same issue in MathCAD 10. I believe MathCAD is misrepresenting the units. See attached. "Hmp" and "TH" have the wrong values when comparing with example 11.2 at the bottom. I rewrote them as H and T next to them. I substituted "m" and "Ump" for the actual values of 100000 and 1035 and the answers came out correct. So, something is wrong with how "m" and "Ump" are represented.

I'm trying to pass on a variable as a string to another mathcad Prime sheet.  VAY is a number defined above in calculations within the sheet.  I don't want the evaluated value but the variable itself.  There should be a function to do just that.  See screen shot.

Version: Windchill 12.0 Use Case: Hello, I´m trying to build a report, that will allow me to enter a assembly Number and the result of the report should be a list of unique objects, only used in defined assembly Number. I have managed to build a report reporting items used in assembly, but I´m having trouble setting Criteria to only report unique items.Description: I´m currently getting a result with the list of the objects, but report is simply listing objects used in specific assembly, whether they are unique or not. I can´t manage to set Criteria correctly, so it will only report unique objects. Can anyone point me to some guide or assist with setting correct criteria to achieve desired result (only report unique objects used in one assembly)?  Thank you very much in advance. 

I am working with Creo 8. I would like to implement a dialog with tree view in it. The tree has 3 columns. I have spent few of hours trying to understand API to create and populate tree. But not able to figure how to do it. With C++ I wasn't even able to add node to tree. With C I could add node but not able to figure how to add column. Whenever I stop working on creo for a period of time or the network pauses creo becomes unresponsive and shows as not responding - this happens quite often and the only way to fix it is to end the process in task manager and restart Creo.Any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated.

Is there a good event or alert included out of the box in ThingWorx that is only triggered when the platform starts up?  I would like to subscribe to it and send a notification to platform admins when the platform starts.  If there are any events that are reliably triggered on shutdown, I'd like to subscribe to that as well. I found this article which discusses creating a new Thing but would like something already present if possible. https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS230700 

Hello PTC community,   Im contacting you regarding a reoccurring issue we've encountered with a license on a specific Host,   Since 25.08.2025 we installed Mathcad License(Prime 6 which is compatible with MathCAD 15) Locked version on our host.    The license activates the software and works as intended for couple of days, after that it's getting deactivated and has to be activated again (Activated 3 times already). We've followed the procedure as shown in PTC Knowledge Base and it has worked successfully on multiple other hosts. Only on this case we encountered this issue.   Kindly advise how to proceed & let us know if more information is needed.   Best regards

Hello,The Windchill WT part has the Classification attribute that is connected to the SAP side.It received the data from SAP side every time the  WT part webpage is accessed.But the WT part webpage loads all attributes immediately and takes time to pull the data from SAP side for classification attributes.  (Attached screenshot for reference)As of now the WT part at any state pulls the classification data from SAP.My goal is that the WT part at Released lifecycle state must store the classification attribute and need not connect to the SAP. Only the WT part at 'in progress' state must pull data from SAP.Kindly suggest how can this be achieved ? 

I have an old copy of Mathcad 15 and Prime3.0 installed on a Windows 10 computer which was purchased 2/8/2014 . I need Windows 11 licenses for both as I purchased a new computer.

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: CAD documents checking in from Creo remove WTpart attributesDescription: Whenever I check in a CAD object, it removes the part attributes each iteration. These are custom enumerated attributes that do not come from Creo, but get removed. I've searched everywhere and cannot seem to find anything on how to keep the attributes between revisions.
